When sephiroth asks “what will you do with it?” My big brain guess is that were gonna have a very hard choice to make. Probably leading to different endings. One where you decide to save aerith but will lead to some fucked up result or letting aerith die for the sake of the world. Im fucking calling it.
@Captain Caveman Nah fam. Sephiroth maybe, but in honesty the last few minutes of the game is more addressing the players than cloud. Whispers = Nay sayers/Purists Walking through the portal = Embracing change Edge of Creation = The moment Sephiroth has been stuck in/fated to since the end of the original. beating a less experienced cloud and baiting the hook to change his fate (the whole point of defying fate and needing clouds help. Why he says he will not die or allow cloud to die) In the end I see Sephiroth pulling a time lord and adjusting his timeline to break a fated moment and change the story indefinitely. But in my opinion? A good way.
Sephiroth needs aerith to live in order for meteor to work, that's why he keeps goading cloud that he can't save her. He wants him to keep her from dying so holy isn't in the equation and he wins
@Sydnius Alminia Yes, but I think you're a bit off as to why Meteor wouldn't succeed with Aerith living. It's not cause of Holy, Sephiroth was stopping Holy from activating just fine. What he didn't take into account was that Aerith dying would lead her to travel the Planet/lifestream, which would lead her to awaken "countless consciousnesses" as described in the novella "The Maiden who travesl the Planet," and ultimately direct those countless consciousnesses to destroy Meteor via the Lifestream. Holy wasn't the problem for Sephiroth, he could hold it back from activating with his will no problem, it was Aerith as a spirit being able to control the lifestream to that extent that was the problem. If she stays alive, she won't be able to travel the Planet/lifestream to meet and awaken those countless consciousnesses that directly end up saving the Planet and destroying Meteor.
@john steel Yes, they stopped Meteor, thanks to Aerith traveling the lifestream as a spirit, thereby awakening countless consciousnesses as a result of her travels, and then directing them to destroy Meteor. That's the point. Wouldn't have happened without her traveling the Planet as a spirit, and Meteor would have accomplished its purpose of destruction. And 10 years later? They've never shown anything in the world of Final Fantasy 7 10 years after the OG. Geostigma was cured by Aerith 2 years after Meteor was destroyed in AC.
I noticed 4 times where Cloud got foreshadowing what will happen to Aerith. Sepiroth comment, 2 times he has seen her Materia falling, when they leave to Sector 7 he looks at Aerith, get his headache again and a tear is dropping.
Has theory about this and the Black Spectre dudes Red XIII said that they are they to preserve destiny. Every time they get involved, it's to make things stay the way they are in the original game. When Cloud first met Aerith in the church, he got visions of the moment of her death, this appeared throughout the game as well at least one more time, as if it's in Cloud's memory. So putting two together... This remake... Isn't a remake at all. Maybe it's some sort of sequel where you need to make a better outcome compared to the original. Aerith even says "we can change it, make it right", as if meaning to change destiny itself.
@@prontera09 I doubt it that nomura will make multiverse out of this game it will make all deaths meaningless and make the lore more convoluted because of multiple ff7 characters .. I am leaning more towards time travel and this Sephiroth is from Advent Children making it a sequel for AC tying up OG FF7, Dirge of Cerberus, Before Crisis and Crisis Core ..
A remake can also be a sequel. One thing doen't negate the other. Check things like Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Same universe and similar major points but a new story.
It's almost like Sephiroth is basically mocking Cloud, as if to say "I know what's going to happen in the future and even with the hints I dropped, you can't do a damn thing to stop it."
Her dying was the most iconic gaming moment for sure and made Sephiroth a menacing villainm. Still, I always hated her death because it was so sudden and you have no absolute control to change her destiny. I'm glad they are hinting that we may have a chance to save her :D
💚💙🧡💛 So basically in FF7 Remake Episode 2 , we will have 7 seconds to decide if we want to save Aerith or not, and then the future consequences are unknown 💚💙🧡💛
Captain Caveman The ghosts aren’t going to be a thing anymore. Yeah Barrett was saved, but the team defeated the big bad of the ghosts. So going forward, destiny can be changed without them coming in to revert the changes.
@Orcaluv26 Don't think you understood the point of the ghosts. The ghosts were there to ensure the game followed the proper storyline. Whenever anything was about to happen that differed from the original game, they showed up to stop the them. So in order for them to not follow the exact same path they did before, they had to kill fate (the ghosts that kept saving them). So they aren't going to be a thing moving forward.
@@symphony137 we only defeated manifestations of future Cloud, Tifa and Barret. I dont know why people are laughing at you. If you were to compare the remake midgar portion to the original midgar portion the remake clearly wins for being more fleshed out. They are taking good care and paying lots of respect to the original.
@@Kurt634 i laugh at the nomura story telling part. Yes Midgar is better but is also padded out like crazy. You dont explore "more Midgar", its just the same Midgar but padded to the extreme
I think the same thing and I'm happy about Aerith possibly living and the creation of alternate timelines. I love that the future is uncertain cause it means that what follows isn't going to follow the original. I love all of this really.
@@zymosan123 The original story still exists. They made it pretty clear that this is an alternate timeline, so it's not like they're retconning the original game. I'm happy that this will be different because it means the game I love can surprise me again. I like not knowing what will happen.
I had the feeling Sepiroth was talking to us as Player. So if you remember it then when it happens, you can save her through some action. If not, she will die like in the old game.
Isn't it critical for her to die? Didn't she become part of the life stream and brought it to meteor at the end to stop it? That's what I thought at least, could be wrong.
Dave Gaczewski when Cloud and his friend are fighting with the Whisper and start to see some vision of the future. Red said that if they fail today, the future they see will happen. One of the scene was aerith death. But they succeeded defeating the whisper, I guess the future they saw won’t happen, and aerith can be saved
@@taipham5584 that doesn't mean she won't die, it could just mean she won't die like that, or maybe not at all like you said but definitely do not read into it so much then get upset when what you expect doesn't happen.
Tifa will die this time instead of Aerith. Tifa is the only one that can save clouds mind which allows him to defeat sephiroth in the end of OG FF7. The whispers protect the OG timeline from deviating, and sephiroth realized killing Aerith ended up screwing him over in the long run. This is why Zack is back, bc without Tifa cloud's mind cant be saved.
My big question is what will become of the present timeline Sephiroth? This is clearly a version of Sephiroth who has transcended time by being absorbed into the Lifestream. Doesn't that mean he is separate from the Sephiroth at the Northern Crater who confronts Cloud through the various Sephiroth Clones?
@@marbarosi Why do you claim something is wrong when you don't know and are just assuming? We all have our theories, and none of us knows what's wrong or right.
he starts the timer a full second after Sephiroth appears. And it's hard to tell if he's slowing it down. Sephiroth appearing to her actually dying takes 15 seconds.
@@derek.goodzz nope. He's already in frame for a full second before the timer starts. The moment the camera pans upwards, you can see him falling. He doesn't come into the light until that 1 sec later but you can see him coming down,.
@@derek.goodzz there is no timer when Sephiroth appears. And when the 35 second mark hits the timer is at 06:24. You're not wrong. Sorry. But it's skwed to make it those 7 seconds. It takes about 8 seconds from when he appears to when she's stabbed and that's assuming this hasn't been altered to fit that time.
I didn’t do any frame by frame testing, but I would agree that even from first appearance until masamune penetrates...it’s more like 8 seconds. That said, I think it’s *close enough* that SE WOULD be more than able to get away with it.
I think this remake will have a hell of a plot twist. I mean, understand the sentence that Red XIII said that "the glimpse of tomorrow if we fail today" the flashback showed them the scene in advent children. So does it mean that if they fail on that part of the game the original story goes on? And also when cloud and sephiroth took their final battle in an unknown place sephiroth said "the future does not exist" so for me i think the future was rewritten that's why the ending is different. It looks like this remake was on another timeline and they will probably re-make the future that happened in the original. Just my opinion
"Careful now, that which lies ahead does not yet exist" I think that he means where they are. It's where OG ends. It doesn't exist yet. Also the "not yet" is that it ain't their final Battle yet. Ignore that the English Dub may have mistranslation here.
I think people are over analyzing this "7 seconds..." stuff. If you didn't notice during the last parts of the Sephiroth fight he seems to be summoning Meteor and begins to count down from 10. I don't know if it is scripted in the game or not, but both for myself and in another video I watched of the fight Sephiroth is defeated after his count to 8. This brings us to 7 seconds left until the Meteor he summoned hits. Anyone else able to confirm?
I agree that my interpretation of 7 seconds may seem like a stretch and "the end" is more likely to reference "end of the world with meteor" rather than "end of Aerith". But nonetheless, I think that Aerith's death may play out differently in the coming sequel with the whispers dead and Cloud's visions of the future.
Of course it's not scripted to beat him when the count hits 8, he just has so little health left and takes so long to countdown that it's easy to kill him that early. You can let him finish the countdown and instantly win by calling meteor down if you stall long enough
With all due respect. Watch the scene in the remake where she talks to Cloud in that "dream state", in the garden in front of her home. Pay close attention to everything the moment she starts to pray, just like she was praying when Sephiroth kills her. Notice what she says there and think about it. The devs stated they were dropping hints on the next episode in this game and they looked forward to our theories about what it all means. In addition, the City of Ancients theme plays when Sephiroth says, "Seven seconds to the end."
Hmmm. unlikely. In the remake we saw visions of aerith dying, and red said the following words: "A glimpse of tomorrow if we fail here today" Meaning they were beating what the original game wanted to happen, they beat their destiny. Her death is unlikely to happen, I think it'll be interesting in part 2.
While I believe that the 7 Seconds may refer to Aerith’s death, it may also be a reference to the 7 Days before Meteor hits the Planet. If that’s the case, then I believe that there will be more to those 7 Days than we thought. In the Original, the 7 Days were unplayable because everyone else went to go see their loved ones while Cloud and Tifa were all alone, patiently waiting for the others. Maybe in the Remake the 7 Days will be playable and we get to see more context about the situation. Who knows?
It’s so obvious that this is what sephiroth was hinting at, especially considering the song that is playing is the one that plays just before you find aerith
I wish that was the case, but the game states: "In the world beyond, Sephiroth shows Cloud a vision of the planet seven seconds before its demise. Having strayed from the course destiny set for them, they strike out on a path toward an unknown future." game8.co/games/Final-Fantasy-VII-Remake/archives/286206
James Badeker - Noctitty I’m talking about the song that is titled “you can hear the planet cry” in the original, that plays as he says to cloud about those “seven seconds” that he has. It’s the same music that plays before you find aerith and before she is killed in the original. That’s what I meant
The same for Zack if he really survived in Remakes timeline. He could get killed by Soldiers who hunt him through Midgard or maybe he gets killed by Cloud through Sephiroth's control.
My other speculation is that Sephiroth we see in the remake is actually Sephiroth clones, that Sephiroth is still in the Northern Cave. Somehow he saw the future where he is defeated so instead of calling his clones fo renuion he is using them to attack Cloud's group so somehow he can change the future. I think he succeeded.
The fact that it took him 7-8 seconds to kill her, all the talk about her death and Sephiroth loving to talk about Cloud not being able to protect anyone makes the “seven seconds until the end” scene to be more than what the game says also Nomura loves to foreshadow stuff so I wouldn’t be surprised if there was more to that scene than what meets the eye.
Sephiroth wasnt reffering to that, there's a text in the FF7R game that explicitly explain what the 7 seconds are. There's no misdirect, its very clear and straight forward. So its debunked. Also, Aerith has to die, no matter what. She might be killed differently, maybe by Cloud or Zack(because Sephiroth might free himself from the fate of killing her, somebody else has to do it, not willingly). But she has to die. Thats the whole point of her character arc. Thats also a the whole point of the whole lifetream arc. Not having her killed is like removing the jedis from the original star wars trilogy. The next few games will be different but at the same time, it'll be the same. I mean so far, everything's on track, the party might have defeated fate in Midgar, the whole world is filled with whispers guiding people in the right track. The ending could be: 1. whispers are just guiding people for their own good. 2. Sephiroth is aware of his future through lifestream and tries to prevent it from happenning(whispers are guiding people, they know of the future, fate might just be a different form of lifestream or maybe dead Ancients that are in the lifestream) 3. Sephiroth is from the future. 4. remake is a direct sequel to VII, the aerith you see opening her eyes at the end of vii is the beginning of remake. I personally think that 1 is just plausible, the other are just fancy theories made by people who think Square Enix is clever. it's been a very very long time since square didnt have a good story in a game.....it goes back to ps1. I feel like it's like the 2 last seasons of game of thrones where pleople had great, documented theories but the writers failed to understood the essence of what made seaosn 1-5 somewhat great and threw a bunch of crap to end the story arcs of everyone. People shouldnt set themselves up for disapointement. Theories are great but thats just what they are, theories. I mean the remake was kind of dissapointing, its padded through and through with bad and yet too linear area designs that goes for way too long, to entire chapters that are complete fillers to sidequest about cats or a guy that is sick by eating bad noodles. The whole original FF7 story content was spectacular but its dragged down by the will of making this part as long as possible. Like the ending song name, the majority of the content of this game felt 'hollow'. Personally I think that they couldnt pack more quality stuff because the A team was already working to make the game work(probably troubles with the combat mechanic, they did a very great job with it) so the B team provided with low quality content. Subpar chapters like the Jessie one or the turn off the lights one, subpart graphics like all the low quality textures everywhere after chapter 1, you can clearly see that they cut corners everywhere.
If people are saying that the "7 seconds" is about Aerith's death and the impact of the meteor, that "7 seconds" can be run that way, Theory: Aerith will not die in the City of the Ancients, Cloud will push her, but Sephiroth's Masamune will hit Aerith's hair causing White Materia to fall into the water, so after the events there, Aerith will stay with us until the final events, she will meet the real Cloud (which is good), and we will fight against Sephiroth at the end next to her, so when Holy is released during the meteor's arrival, she will see that it is not enough, and will ask the group to kill her, so in 7 seconds someone in the group will kill her , so that your consciousness joins the planet and moves the Lifestream to stop the meteor ...
Okay, the fact that he knows what will happen means this Sephirtoth might be from the future. So future Sephiroth gives Cloud a cryptic warning that present Sephiroth will kill Aerith, and thus (maybe) preventing her death. But without Aerith joining the lifestream Meteor will potentially destroy the world or at least cause far more severe damage to the planet. The future installments are going to be so crazy. I hope they release the next part asap
Just wanna say, it's not the most accurate translation. Here's a more accurate one: "7 seconds before the end. However, it's not too late. The future is in your hands, Cloud." In the source dialogue, with the source voice acting directed by the creators in the native language of Japanese, Sephiroth is actually more "encouraging" I would say.
Hmmm, in other words future Sephiroth realizes killing Aerith is what leads to his defeat so he's playing on Cloud's emotions in the past to push him to alter this event. I just hope the story doesn't go too off the rails with multiple timelines and such.
@@mecuriasu it appears to be headed that way. But there's a big difference between just establishing a new timeline (to acknowledge it as different from the original but coexisting) and getting completely caught up in having them regularly interact to create weird multiverse plot threads that end up making us feel like nothing bad that happens to characters really matters because they're doing fine in another timeline. The Zack sequence at the end concerns me in this regard. If they say "ok, this is the new timeline, what you do here matters, don't get caught up in crazy multiverse stuff" I think it'll be ok.
@@Orain88 If Zack lives in that timeline, he would probably be the hero, be hired by Avalanche, meet up again with Aerith, etc, and then Aerith would have to die in that timeline as well in order to save the Planet, making it doubly devastating.
what if all of those stuff about whisper, destiny or changing destiny is just an illusion to make you think that you change the destiny but you don't. and the story will remain the same but played out differently
@@PunksStillNotDead if they make 1:1 remake this game will not be as impactful as you play OG FF7 for the first time. they will throw jessie, wedge, and biggs like they were nobody like in OG FF7 or watching major character death for the 2nd time or more.
Within these 7 seconds cloud has to decide on what course to take now prepared with these visions. I’m sure Aerith will ask him to let her die. If he saves her, does that mean lifestream doesn’t support holy in stopping meteor since she’s not in there to do it? Is this sephiroths end goal? Did he realize that Aerith in the lifestream stops his plans? Gives cloud resolve? Why do I have to wait?! Whyyyyyyyy?!!!!
Lol, I’m pretty sure it’s “Seven seconds till the end”. The two main languages for this series is Japanese and English. Nomura likely made sure it translated perfectly in English as FF7 is extraordinarily popular in North America.
@@DioBrandoZaWarudoMudaMudaMuda That's why I've said "in some other translations." In the French script for example, he does say Apocalypse. This reminds me of when the German script made a link between the light-absorbing Parasite and the Meteor in FFXV, and everybody was like "oh it's probably nothing" and it ended up being true :D Just take it with a grain of salt. At this point, who knows what they'll try to pull off with the lore. It's getting all weird and unpredictable.
This theory needs to stop, this is not what the 7 seconds is referring to, and I think anybody with a brain knows this, only hard-core fans are thinking this and I get that much, but I guarantee that its not about that at all, this ending was so "meta" that I guarantee that its a reference to the doomsday clock, not a literal countdown like that, the doomsday clock is measured that the closer you are to midnight means the closer we are to our own destruction, currently in this year, we've realistically come the closest in all of history to midnight at 100 seconds to midnight, if sephiroth is saying 7 seconds until the end, he's saying thats how close we are to our own destruction and he's saying what will cloud do with this time he has left until it hits zero
This is just sepharoth being cocky because he is probabally from the future and he think no way in hell this time i will lose you don´t even know omnislash yet and because i literally know your everymove that i don´t even need to move to block them all. That is some real confidence that sepharoth has to give cloud a heads up on whay might happen lol Edit:Also was it me or was cloud having PTSD again when sepharoth talked about the 7 sec like he maybe knows but then brushs it off thinking it was just him playing mind games
The "flashbacks" he has it its Not Just His past, He has visions of the future, maybe him and Sephiroth ended Up in that timeline from the future. Maybe that are the distortions he experiences.
@@BlackStrey Hmm would explain maybe why he had them even before facing against destiny itself but then alot more questions rises like why is he so forgetfull which for me would seem weird maybe sepharoth would drag him in and delete most of his memory but then again would sepharoth really try this hard.. I belive that Sephiroth has started giving him more visions of her because when he meet with him early he is messing with his mind he has gotten inside clouds mind giving him visions of whats to come as i said this Sephiroth is super cocky he didn´t even flintch in the last cutscene to defend any of clouds attacks he wasn´t even looking and them and then he even cockly said "Not yet" and in one dash ends the fight and then his speach starts again. I mean i can only say this to all that didn´t watch the chapter 14 scene there are 3 variations being aerith´s,tifa´s and barret one. This then becomes even more of wait does Aerith know about Sephiroth changing the future probabally because she did talk with the wispers for sure while she was stuck, this even i belive confirms itself when she said to Sephiroth and i am probabaly wrong because i just waked up that everything about you is wrong and meaning that he shouldn´t be here not yet atleast so in theory the only 2 people that knew what the future holds before everyone else got it was Aerith and Cloud,Cloud being first because of sephiroth manipulations and Aerith second because of her talk with wispers. I might be over analyzing the scene in chapter 14 with her so if you want to confirm that i was maybe right you can check on youtube or if you have the game yourself do all sidequests and then sewers pick aerith and then continue onward till 14.
Basilio Calinovschi Gutu i Just redo that section , was planing on it anyway. Enjoy the Game far too much. Anyway yeah it is probably Sephiroth giving Input. One think that is noteworthy, the way Sephiroth manifests through the jenova subjects, He does it very similiar to what happens with Kadaj in Advent children. It seems something Changed Sephiroth in that timeline. Hence the "everything" about you is wrong. He seems aware of his future failures. He seems to "guide" Cloud to get an alternative outcome. Maybe Aerith HAS to die to actually use her Materia and connect to the Lifestream. I think the way they handled the Finaly was that the ultimate Final encounter will Change drastically. They fused Advent children and the northern crater final battle together. With all that Said im Most interested in Clouds Character ark. How does that Change. The Revelation Scene about the nibelheim ancident hopefully still happens. Its my Most adored piece of ff7 Lore.
If Aerith dies, the planet will eventually die, and so will Sephiroth. His future self has come back to find a way to alter this fate. Cloud is the key because he will be the last being with Jenova cells alive and Sephiroth wants to go to the nebula we see or that is possibly we see Gaia destroyed, but either way he needs Cloud so he can build "a shining new future" somewhere else. The edge of creation is not that accurate a translation, but probably makes more sense than a literal translation, "Leading edge of the world" But more interesting is the last line, a more accurate translation reveals he says, "7 seconds to the end, but we can still make it in time. The future is up to you Cloud." This reveals a lot more of Sephiroth's plan than the English translation.
Cloud always had odd illusions of his past in the first game, and some form of schizophrenic ptsd I'm hoping this is just sepiroth twisting his brain around and Aeris dies as destined. And yes I said Aeris not Aerith
Remember the real sephiroth is in the northern crater right now so this can't be him this is a duplicate of what he'll look like in the Adventures children Final Fantasy 7 children storyline Jenova recreated sephiroth from that timeline the mess with clouds head as well as Jenova's influencing clouds emotional attachment to Aerith
if she does not die (on player's choice or whatever) it would change her from being the most hurting death into just an annoying girl :( if Zack is there aswell, which is yet not sure, it could be quite nice...but since this would be other timelines we would have the brat, I guess
Cloud won't let her die in the remake , I can assure you . First, he fell in love with her too much, and secondly, there are different times in the remake and you can change the future , this was not all in the original .
Sephiroth: Seven Seconds til the end. (Original FF7) Cloud: Aerith… Aerith: (smiles until Sephiroth dropped down and in 7 seconds, he stabbed her through the back) Cloud: NOOOO!!! Aerith: (her materia falls as she dies) Cloud…I…(goes limp) (Remake) Cloud: Huh?
What if that 7 seconds scene plays again in the final part of the remake but instead of cloud being stuck in the edge of creation he'll know how to stop sephiroth which leads to the climatic 1v1 we all want, well I want a 1v1 really bad
There was an unconfirmed rumor… there will be seven possible endings to the series. I personally think that cloud will have to sacrifice himself in place or that sephiroth is working on an different agenda altogether, Breaking free of madness breaking away from Jenova. So long as cloud is alive Sephiroth can come back. If we take him out his word: there is a Disaster that he is trying to avoid for his own self preservation and the preservation of cloud. But let’s make no mistake about it cloud is still being manipulated. No question about that
It makes sense. Aerith's death cements Sephiroth's defeat in the original FF7R. If Aerith lives, the playing field is level again. There's no guarantee that Sephiroth will lose anymore because fate will have officially been derailed.
So part 2 or part 3, we will be given 7 seconds to decide the fate of the world, if somehow cloud figures out the meaning of 7 seconds. We can remake the 7 seconds to save her.
If the 7 seconds were just the time he still had inside the edge of creation then it makes no sense for sephiroth to go: "what will you do with it." about the 7 seconds, there s also the fact that they re playing the music track that plays when cloud arrives right before her death. JP line is even more inplicit that its supposed to be a future event.
I'm thinking that was a misdirect. A red herring. Everything else. The use of the city of the ancients theme, and the future flashbacks to Aerith's death points otherwise.
Ironically enough that is not the real sephiroth another illusion cast by jenova the play with clouds mindful when she really does die psychological warfare 101 because cloud has what we call a hero complex when he fails to to save Aerith it will ruined him for the rest of the timeline Jenova's hoping to repeat be original Final Fantasy 7 timeline because she knows that the original Aerith is here trying to stop her
Sephiroth : Seven second till the end what will you do?
Cloud : *watch aerith death in 4K*

Red XIII said that they are they to preserve destiny.
I think the whole FF7R was the 2nd timeline and the ending was altered into 3rd timeline or something else.
@@prontera09 I doubt it that nomura will make multiverse out of this game it will make all deaths meaningless and make the lore more convoluted because of multiple ff7 characters .. The ghosts were there to ensure the game followed the proper storyline. Whenever anything was about to happen that differed from the original game, they showed up to stop the them.

Pshh a 7 second QTE, I GOT THIS!!
I really don't think this is the 7 seconds he was talking about, far too obvious for a Nomura plot, but it is quite amusing.
Well, I'm uncertain as to whether this aged good or bad. Nomura seems to be going all Kingdom Hearts with the Remake's story.
Yes i also defeated him after the 8
I agree that my interpretation of 7 seconds may seem like a stretch and "the end" is more likely to reference "end of the world with meteor" rather than "end of Aerith".
Are you talking about this meteor? ua-cam.com/video/rXE2ryz96sk/v-deo.html
7sequals till the end :)))
Seven decades, Cloud. Seven.
7 seconds till Cloud dies. We gonna have a Gandalf ending this time boys. Zack will have to save the day
Hmmm. unlikely. In the remake we saw visions of aerith dying, and red said the following words:
"A glimpse of tomorrow if we fail here today" Meaning they were beating what the original game wanted to happen, they beat their destiny.
Who knows?
They were doing something other than patiently waiting....

7 seconds is the time the meteor before it crush the planet.
Yeah no im not gonna read that, so what does the 7 seconds mean without the wall of text

honey if you're gonna tell cloud that then why do you do it
Cloud: "Vincent. Barrett. You two come with me into this temple and bring whatever you'd shoot down a dragon with!"
OG Sephiroth looks so... Scary...
Probably looking at another 3 years....

Just wanna say, it's not the most accurate translation. Here's a more accurate one:
"7 seconds before the end. However, it's not too late. The future is in your hands, Cloud."

I fucking knew it!!!!
Basically Aerith's death is player choice? That's cool
man tbh if it would be that be so nice or else put it in some dlc
Heres my $$ for it XD
They changed their fate
THE 7 SECONDS DO NOT REFER TO AERITHS DEATH!! It has to be said. The English translation makes it really vague. It refers to Meteor
Cloud always had odd illusions of his past in the first game, and some form of schizophrenic ptsd
I'm hoping this is just sepiroth twisting his brain around and Aeris dies as destined.
And yes I said Aeris not Aerith
"Aeris"s a translation error you boomer
Remember the real sephiroth is in the northern crater right now so this can't be him this is a duplicate of what he'll look like in the Adventures children Final Fantasy 7 children storyline Jenova recreated sephiroth from that timeline the mess with clouds head as well as Jenova's influencing clouds emotional attachment to Aerith
if she does not die (on player's choice or whatever) it would change her from being the most hurting death into just an annoying girl :( if Zack is there aswell, which is yet not sure, it could be quite nice...but since this would be other timelines we would have the brat, I guess
Seven seconds is also how long you have to use omnislash at the end before sephiroth one-shots you.
That's not true: ua-cam.com/video/haOZsAkchKI/v-deo.html The fight is programmed so that Cloud would always win.
WTF AERITH DIES
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Cloud won't let her die in the remake , I can assure you . First, he fell in love with her too much, and secondly, there are different times in the remake and you can change the future , this was not all in the original .
What will you do with 7 seconds? Buy the save Aerith DLC for $19.99
press 'start' button 7x in every second😉
Sephiroth: Seven Seconds til the end.
(Original FF7)
Cloud: Aerith…
Aerith: (smiles until Sephiroth dropped down and in 7 seconds, he stabbed her through the back)
Cloud: NOOOO!!!
Aerith: (her materia falls as she dies) Cloud…I…(goes limp)
(Remake)
Cloud: Huh?
Omg
True but that also doesn't guarantee things will go his way. Freedom from fate has a nasty tendency in blowing up in ones face.
Wish you said spoilers I didn't know 😭😭
Aerith lost her last marble... hahahaha
Either that or it has something to do with meteor
So part 2 or part 3, we will be given 7 seconds to decide the fate of the world, if somehow cloud figures out the meaning of 7 seconds.
We can remake the 7 seconds to save her.
Great point you have there
In the Name of the King please stop this madness !!!
this is the most stupid theory i have read... and the 7 second is not even about that..
In chapter select it is stated what Sephiroth meant by it. This is not it.
I looked at chapter select but couldn't find that anywhere
@@mkamelg oh thanks
You skipped like 30 seconds but ok ig.
Debunked by ingame description of the last chapter. They are 7 seconds until apocalypse, not until aerith s death.
I'm thinking that was a misdirect. A red herring. Everything else. The use of the city of the ancients theme, and the future flashbacks to Aerith's death points otherwise.
This isn't it. I wish it was. Watch my video on my channel for some in depth stuff.
I wonder if the fanbase will freak out if they do the unthinkable and not kill Aerith?
It would be 50/50 half of the fans want her to live while the others want everything going the same way as Og.
Knew it
It's not this.
@@marbarosi then from where?
Oh no, what if this time around 7 seconds is to decide if Aerith or Tifa dies.
Then I will gladly give Tifa to Sephiroth.
more like Aerith or Zack
@@beam408 i give Zack AND Tifa for aerith......and i'm still open to negociation ;) !
Power. Absolute. Tifa > Aerith
@@Eddy6159 Nobody asked.
