It’s 1600 watts max power nobody expects any amp to make their “max” numbers. It’s the RMS ratings that matter. And pioneer is almost always hitting those numbers
I have two GM-D9601 amps running my subs, the bigger brother to this amp. it is raterd 500 rms at 4 ohms, 800w rms at 2 ohms and 1200w rms at 1 ohm, dynos have shown the amp to make rated power plus a bit more, they pack a decent punch. All modern pioneer amps make rated power, max power is meaningless and i dont get why its even mentioned here, RMS is the only number that matters and if the amp makes the rated RMS then all is good. Also, why moan about the power connectors, they take 4 gauge cable and i have 4 gauge feeding mine then going to a distribution block that is supplied by 0 gauge, i have no issues at all with the power cable clearing.
You would be amazed at how many big wire nutbags their are out there. Its ridiculous nonsense. He could have ran 8ga CCA to that amp and it wouldn't have made a bit of difference. But he has to cover his ass for all the big wire crybabies out there.
Haha yea I understand the difference but it’s good to note that companies are over rating there products by stamping it all over the boxes and amps But thank you for you input glad you liked it

I really happy with your new channel buddy good luck with your work
Good luck on the new channel and I will try my best to help share it.
Thank you
It will make it’s RMS rating and then some…These are awesome amps for the money..
Pioneer is rock solid has been for years they put a rms rating on it, it will do it and a bit more
Not bad for the price point.
Unfortunately pioneer still uses that marketing trick and gives max power but in my experience (running gmd8604) they do rms+ and sound good
The d9601 bigger brither actually is a solid 1k rms 1200 rms at 1
In the Manual it says 800w

Same with alpine MRV they make rating power. My brother has mrv 650 sounds amazing in 2ohm

I can't tell if your new to amplifier ratings or if your just pretending to not understand them. Either way, it's best to just ignore "max" ratings. 👍
Otherwise, it's a good video. I just got really distracted by you talking about max ratings.

on paper its 800w you melt 🤡🤡🤡🤡
