I got a Pioneer GM series for my full ranges and I decided to get this one for my low powered sub as well. I’m excited to see how my system sounds when the lower end load is taken off the door speakers

I used 7 gauge or 10mm2 wire for speaker output :) for my rockford box I had to strip insulation and put cable tie on end of wire to hold shape then a tinned fully with solder and got a solid wire and cut end with angle grinder to size. I had to sand solder material off until I could get into push terminals hahaha literally just fit.
Its overkill but my previous copper wire was a little small and oxidized on ends so I was just going to tin ends but I ended up getting what I thought was next gauge up but I accidentally went 3 gauges larger hahaha, but now I have tinned ends at the box and will be quality now. Had to make it work.
My mom said she loves a good, powerful monocock amp.

That's my current setup and it doesn't even break a sweat.
So I am considering this amp for one subwoofer that matches one of the three outputs on this amp, e.g. 500w rms x1 @ 2 ohms, subwoofer is 350w rms @ 2 ohms, so I plan to turn the gain down, is this a good match and why does the amp have dual speaker outputs if each rms rating is x 1?
That's a great match, it's good to have some head room for your amplifier. The two sets of speakers outputs are simply there to make bridging two subwoofers together easier. It's still one channel. Those masconis are huge audiophole grade theres a huge difference in all around quality. Sound quality, build quality, efficiency, etc. Unless you got the cash i would stick with these main stream brands 😁

How is it? I bought comp 10s for my truck. How much cubic feet do you have them in each? Do they hit low?
Website says it has Speaker Level Inputs so I suppose it's mistaken that you would need Line converter to use this amp. Unlike older amps, this one accepts high inputs on RCA as well.
Rewatch the video. The Pioneer GM-D8701 does not have Speaker Level inputs.
Quality Mobile Video I have seen rca adaptors for speaker level inputs in the box. I think there’s a built in system for the conversion

This is a regular amp that takes RCAs they have included in the box a set of rca to speaker wires. No line out converter (loc) needed. You just hook up the wires to a speaker in yout vehicle with low frequency bass usually the front door speaker or factory subwoofer output. have to extend your wires of course the plug the rca side into tbe amps rca input

Need more info. I can tell you this though I bought this amp from best buy $53 open box special (was still new). I put it on 2 12" 4ohm compr wired to 1ohm and it completely manhandled then. Out of boredom I put it on a jl 13w7 I had laying around and at 3 ohms it was okay but nothing spectacular. Then I wired the w7 to .75 ohms gain turned all the way up and no boost and to my surprise it didnt go into protection mode no overheating even after prolonged periods and it makes the w7 hit hard. I've been impressed.

That's a SVC. So SVC 4 ohm 350W RMS. One SVC 4 ohm sub can ONLY be wired to a 4 ohm load. This amp will be fine, here are other options as well:

Get a JL slash 500/1 it has regulated output so you can put a 4ohm or 2ohm load and gives 500 rms to either load. It will give you some head room since you only need 350 watts. Even a slash 250/1 would work. Now that i think of it im pretty sure those GTOs only come in single 4s

We show the adjustments of the amplifier multiple times in the video. Like at the 2:54 mark. No subsonic filter. Bass boost remote input with included bass boost controller.
Why get rid of the old series carbon style patern. I Loved the championship series I still have one laying around. This amp is identical to the gm-d8601 which I am referring to

Ok, that shit bang. Look at the o scope in the video. You see how the lines are not smooth, that is clipping. Just because it bangs does not mean it's doing its rated power without clipping.

It would a set of 10's or even 12's perfectly. MAKE SURE TO GET DUAL 4 OHM so your final load at amp is 1ohm!

You don't change the ohms... you change/match the woofer to be that 4/2/1 ohm LOAD on the amp

99% of the cars are running on 14.4v. What are you talking about that runs on 12v?
Cars rarely run at 14.4... at least modern cars. Regulator is much closer to 13 than 14... just sayin. That 14.4 continuous is a myth on a stock alternator

No one taught them how to use the oscilloscope. They have the rms voltage right there and can visually see when the amp starts to clip , with the known resistance of the load they can easily calculate rms clean power output without that stupid current clamp thing that is highly inaccurate as it is not even detecting the massive clip in signal..
