@@forevertoremain Watch the video. You drop an already filled soul gem (say a GREATER soul gem that is filled with a LESSER soul) and it empties out so you can try filling it with a GREATER soul.
Another tip... Dual wield flames at the beginning of the game. Spam both hands. Don't channel flames.. no, lika machine gun. The burn effect stacks and will obliterate everything in seconds. Best spell for a while.
Doesnt really do much on Legendary difficulty. And unfortunately the Masterspells become nearly completely useless when you bring all enemies to max level.
heres some advice when using magic, make sure to do the bloodskal blade quest in solstim so you can get the black book that allows you to not be able to hurt followers with magic shouts and ranged attacks
@@jessearseneault756 There's no such thing as "late game" in Skyrim haha, you can start almost any quest line at any time. But for this quest, you have to take a ship to Solstheim which isn't recommended until level 15-ish. You also fight a really tough enemy so better be prepared
If you are going the enchanting route, get the black book before you enhance any unique weapons or enchant your end game crafting gear as well. one of the books adds an extra 10% potency to your enchantments...therefore alchemy and smithing
I'm playing skyrim for the first time as of yesterday! I'm a few hours in and just did my first quest getting the golden claw. I'm already hooked lol great vid. This will come in handy
I just started yesterday for my first time and I too just got the golden claw. I'm already liking the game too. I just gotta get better at fighting and blocking lol. Also need to know what to pick up and leave behind
@@wesknipp yea it's a great game but the combat feels a lil old(which it is) so it's hard to get used too lol and yea I looted everything so I had to constantly look up what I needed and didn't
You mentioned Mining, but didn't mention the Ancient Nordic Pickaxe. Glover gives you a quest to get it, and therefore it becomes a quest item. That means that it is weightless and undroppable, as long as you never turn in the quest (recommended). The fact that it is needed to mine Stalhrim is just a bonus. You can get this as soon as you get to Solstheim with no combat involved.
If you want to truly immerse yourself into the role playing make Roggi Knot-Beard your steward for Goldenhills. He is a mead brewer and seeing as your farm is directly across from your Mead Hall (Hendraheim) that makes total sense. You grow food and make mead for Hendraheim.
For Legendary, i would highly recommend Fortify Destruction potions to increase the damage. Since enemies are only taking 0.25× damage from you, and you're getting 3× damage from enemiesin in return. You're squishy without potions.
lol or first second you get to white run buy a flame atronach bound sword and elemental flame and quite literally run thru the game overpowered on legendary difficulty survival
Ok, I honestly didn't think you'd have anything I'd never heard before...but... having the follower fill soul gems...I knew about that...but i had no idea you could loot them and drop them to un-fill them. I am genuinely impressed! Well done
Re: No Dragons There’s also an option to disable random dragon spawns! As long as you’ve got the quest “A Blade in the Dark” (the one where you accompany Delphine to Kynesgrove) active, no random dragon attacks will occur! The only active dragons will be the ones in dragon roost sites like Shearpoint or Ancient’s Ascent, and I BELIEVE some will circle above their burial mounds, but never wander far from them. It’s a nice little alternative if you want to avoid the hassle of the random dragon encounters but also want to have access to Solstheim and the Dragonborn DLC.
@@DoomsdayApparatus Then your game is bugged to hell and back. When A Blade in the Dark is activated, the game sets a global variable in the internal settings, MQ106TurnOffRandomDragons, to 1, stopping random dragons from spawning. After the quest is over, that variable goes back to 0, and they can start again. As I said, in a (non-buggy) game, while ABitD is active, the only non-named dragons you'll meet are on word walls like Shearpoint, or around their dragon mounds. Another possibility is that those dragons had already spawned before you started the quest. Stopping random spawns doesn't magically delete everything that's already been spawned.
The elemental spell makes legendary much easier, if you don’t have the unofficial patch and take the perk that increases effectiveness of fear spells, that also increases the spells damage by another 10 points
15:51 Alternatively, you can also use Mjoll the Lioness as a follower. She's marked as essential in the game files and as such, she cannot die. She's a 2 handed wielder so she works well as a tank. Allowing you to stand back and cast comfortably while she soaks up enemy damage. Just be sure to give her some magica resistance items because she can still be downed by your spells. There're other essential followers you can get, but I found her to be one of the best.
@Eric Neuls She is easily my first choice to marry as well (because she's immortal). Adventuring with your spouse has one major bonus in Skyrim (and Fallout). That is; ANY bed (bedroll, hay pile, coffin etc.) you sleep in while out adventuring with them grants you the *Lovers Comfort* EXP boost. Gaining you 15% more EXP to all skills for 8 in-game hours. To maximize this effect, First get the *Aetherial Crown* and activate the *Lover standing stone* in the Reach. This stone also grants a 15% EXP boost to all skill increases. Then go to the *3 Guardian standing stones* east of Riverwood. Equip the crown, and activate the Guardian stone you want to focus on. this will store the Lover stone bonus in the crown. Normally the Lover stone bonus cannot be stacked with any rested EXP bonus unless... Before you sleep in any bed with you spouse as a follower, unequip the crown. Reequip it after you wake up and you'll then get both the Lovers Comfort bonus and the Lover stone bonus at the same time. That along with the 20% Guardian stone EXP bonus, and you'll be getting a massive 50% XP boost to any skills pertaining to your chosen Guarding stone, and a 30% bonus to all other skill increases for 8 in-game hours. (24 minutes in real time.) Side note: On PC you can use console commands to adjust the time scale settings and increase the bonus's real time duration. To do this press ~ to open the console, then type "set timescale to X" (without quotes) where X is the number of minutes you want to pass in-game for every minute in real time. Press Enter and then the ~ key again to close the console. To return to the game's default time type "set timescale to 20". If you set the value to 10 the bonus will last twice as long but so will the games day/night cycle. If you set the value to 1 the game time will be the same as real time and the bonus will last 8 real world hours. Happy EXP grinding👍😁👍
@@trooper6762 I'm not sure. I've only played survival once and never thought to test it. Good idea though. If I had to guess, I would say it would. But to be honest it would come down to how Bethesda coded it. Which I unfortunately know nothing about.
15:52 You mentioned that the downside of the new elemental spells is that it affects your followers. A tip I just discovered to mitigate this in my first Skyrim run (yes, in 2022) is that you can get an special ability by reading the Black Book: Winds of Change in Solstheim. When you finish the quest (you only have to advance linearly in the Apocrypha until you reach the Black Book), you can choose one of 3 abilities (orbs glowing out of the book), and pick Companion's Insight: Your attacks, shouts, and destruction spells do no damage to your followers. You can get the book when you defeat the boss at the end of Raven Rock Mine, during the quest "The Final Descent". You just have to speak to a guy inside the mine who is discussing with her wife and help him to explore the mine instead of him. Not sure if there is any level that you need to do this, because I got contacted really early in the game by the Cultist so I had the chance to get there like at level 10 I guess, I just didn't do it before. The only thing is that the masked wizard boss of the dungeon is powerful, so it is probably a good idea go there with some levels and be prepared to defeat the guy.
I don't think there's a level requirement or if there is it's quite low. The cultists attack you after a certain point early in the main quest, likely *Dragon Rising*, which initiates the majority of the dragon encounters and random attacks. However you can just go to Windhelm docks and go to Solstheim before this and access the majority of the Dragonborn DLC that way. Also there is some Anniversary Edition quests that will direct you there anyway.
There are no quest or level requirements to acquire Black Book: Winds of Change. You can literally leave Helgen straight to Solstheim (250 gold passage). Of course, the enemies are a bit tough, so it's recommend for experienced players. That being said, Solstheim's main quest can only be started after completing "The Way of the Voice" (the quest we get the second word from Unrelenting Force + Whirlwind Sprint). That's vanilla game, Anniversary Edition DLC not required. ;)
An idea: Dual-wield a dagger in your left hand and a pickaxe in your main hand, then use elemental fury. Since your are swinging faster, you could get all the ore veins done in a extremally short amount of time. Using vegetable soup would solve any stamina problems.
@@dread1901 Having a dagger in the off-hand makes your main-hand attacks as fast as possible. You only benefit from dual-wielding pickaxes if you’re power-attacking; elsewise, a dagger in the off-hand is significantly faster.
A bit late but a tip for Goldenhills Plantation that is great if you are wanting to run an Alchemist playthrough. Grow Creep Cluster, Mora Tapinella, and Scaly Pholiota. These three ingredients are used to make Fortifiy Carry Weight potions and they are some of the most expensive potions you can make. So, not only are you making a pretty decent profit naturally over time with your farm, but you can use the grown ingredients to make pretty expensive potions you can turn around and sell for even more profit. And if you are playing on Survival Mode, you can also grow Blue Mountain Flowers and Wheat to make Fortify Health potions. My layout is: 6 Blue Mountain Flowers planted in the planters in front of the main farm building, 11 Wheat plants in the small side farm area, and a mix of Creep Cluster, Mora Tapinella, and Scaly Pholiota in the larger 25 plot field. The only issue I have is the hitbox for manually harvesting your Creep Cluster can be a little iffy and difficult to activate at times. (Also, I am using a mod to make things more grassy and beautiful and some of the crop planting locations in the fields can be hidden by the extra added grass...so be aware of that.)
Its my first game of skyrim and i started with the standard difficulty. After Mastering some wizard skill i had to set it higher cause with the elemental spells i was unstoppable. im having such a blast being a wizard and i m loving the combo i can do with each spell kind. Like using paralizing runes and building fire and bolts wall, and using the elemental spell is so fun and strong. I fell in love with this game cause Made me feel Free to become a beast how i want to, Amazing.
Just a couple of tips not covered here that I picked up on my third playthrough: Fast Travel While Overloaded: If you are overloaded, you can still ride around and fast travel while on your horse despite being overloaded. This is how I transferred all my stash to a new house that I discovered in the Anniversary edition instead of keeping it all at Breezehome. Resetting NPC funds when selling your stuff: If you have a bunch of inventory to sell, but your NPC only has $1000, you can sell all the stuff you can, quicksave, then kill the NPC, then load your Quicksave. When it reloads the vendor, their money is replenished and you can continue to sell your items, rinse and repeat... game changer.
Great job thanks for this. Note that dragons don’t spawn if you don’t follow Delphine downstairs. So you can retrieve horn and continue on shout quest. Also, hot soups are better than standard. Add fire salts and get warmth bonus plus the other benefits of soups.
Im not sure about that info,,in all my games, dragons spawn right after we kill the first one at the western watchtower…i just did that in my current game, and the next day in game time, I had a dragon at Falkreath, and I haven’t even been to High Hrothgar yet, either….I’m playing on survival mode as well..☺️
@@stormym5434 so strange. I have 7,000+ hours in Skyrim. I take the horn from Delphine and leave. No dragon spawns (aside from the ones at the word walls)
@@lunarcontact i guess you have been lucky, , i dont know how many hours I have played, but Ive been playing Skyrim since 2016, and am on my 29th game, and have always had random dragons show up everywhere after I kill the first one at the western watchtower, no matter my level…also i never go to see the graybeards until I am at least level 30 as I don’t want to spawn the cultists…and the graybeards are the ones that send us to Ustengraf to get the horn, and then we are sent to see Delphine, and I also wait a log time to see her as well, and by the time i speak with her , I usually already have 5-6 dragon souls in my pocket…so i am not sure why your game denies you all those delicious souls🤔☺️🌈
there is also a second disadvantage to the elemental flare type spells, which can also be used to an advantage, when they explode upon hitting something they will send any small items in the area flying a short distance, so, books, gems and a few other small items will be moved, and can get pushed off a table or behind something where you might not see it. you can use that to your advantage for certain traps.. the spell casting traps you can use them to knock the soul gem powering the trap down, for rope traps you would normally trip walking past, you can hit them with a spell, also works great on rune traps. (the rope traps you can actually hit with anything, spells, arrows, or even just activate if you get close, then back off quick so you don't get hit) the farm is great, so many plots to plant in, harvest each plot for 3 or 4 plants each, then go inside to the pantry and get another of every plant, plus milk, honey and eggs if you have the other upgrades. also has all the crafting stations, even a cooking pot. also the "profits" mentioned in the video. the very rare yellow mountain flowers also grow in one spot near the apiary, no idea why you can't plant those.
The novice magic hood you receive at the start of the game, can be quick worn to regain your magic, then you can re-equip whatever helm or mask you were wearing before. Companions: These are merely walking & talking bottomless bags of holding. Instead of "trading" goods with your companion, have them pick up whatever goods you don't want to hold yourself. Doesn't matter if the companion is overencumbered or not, they'll still carry said item(s). Duplication: have your companion stand at wait right next to the Smithing home in Whiterun. Drop said goods one by one on the ground. Have your companion pick up the goods. Leave whiteout and re-enter. You should see some of the goods on the ground. Pick them up, and retrieve the goods from your companions pockets as well.
An alternative to the duplication method is to have your companion pick up the items off the ground fast travel away and then reload the auto save right before cast traveling and then items should appear appear there
Fun tips: Ancient nord gauntlets have 18 fists of steel damage. Dunmer boots can have magic school reduction enchantment. The silver crossbow from solitude's fletcher does +20 bash damage to undead, which can be stacked with bash perks from the blocking tree, including power bash. It stacks with fortify Marksman potions and Marked for Death shout, Orc Berserk
Recently started a fresh playthrough without mods and can confirm the elemental spells are very usefull on legendary, more so when you get some perks but 100% makes being a spellsword so much fun, this and the stangulation spell they also added
In the escape from Helgen, once you are in the chamber with the bear, you can go back towards the waterfall and then crouch and sneak attack your companion. You can max out your sneak doing this and I usually end up in Riverwood at level 17-18
I've been playing since release. After playthrough 4, maybe 5, I've done the same. I've left that cave with 100 stealth, then go talk to Faendal to get him as a follower, get the golden claw quest from Lucan, complete that quest. Then cruise to Bleak Falls sneak and let Faendal do the work, return the claw and head to Whiterun (help the Companions kill a giant) then get soul trap and muffle from Farengar. Once I've soul trapped myself to at least 90 Conjuration, I hire the carriage in Whiterun to take me to Winterhold and master the skill at the College. Off to Fort Amol to get Bound Bow, then off to Whiterun to start the Dark Brotherhood (so I can get Shadowmere). That's the mental script I play out every time to get skilled/geared quickly.
Yeah but if your playing legendary you screw yourself over now fighting lev 20 mobs with zero perks or levels in combat skills, always better to naturally play and level your combat skills to 80-90 before power leveling on legendary survial
One of the Black books you get in solstheim allows you to choose a perk that protects your companions from damage from your spells, shouts and attacks.
Another great tip is when making a new character is to start the Bittercup quest right at level 1 since the quest has no level requirement. Pick the power cup and when you get into the arena you can get a full set of ebony armor, a shock ebony sword, a daedric helm, gauntlet, axe and of course the champions helm and sword. Having full ebony armor along with a daedric axe at level 1 makes you pretty formidable early one
Since you asked: I do maintain a Destruction play-style on legendary difficulty, and it's very viable with perks in the crafting skill trees. With high enough smithing, smithing gear, and potions, you can get over the armor cap with only gauntlets and boots, allowing you to wear robes/circlet for a mage build. Fully enchanted those items, plus jewelry, for 0 casting cost to any destruction spell, plus a lot of magic resistance. Using alchemy for potions of destruction (easy to make from nightshade and glowing mushroom,) to buff spell damage to an extreme degree. Then, I mainly use the expert level spell Touch of Death, which is both high damage and health absorption. You can be siphoning hundreds of damage per cast, and spam-casting, never really losing any health at all.
Some advice for my favorite playstyle, sword and board! Use bash attacks correctly will completly parry all damage coming at you, and you have an opening to strike after. This allows me to kill giants, centurions, and powerful draugr very early on. And with realitive ease, while also being intense and fun! Seems obvious but apparently most people i talk to don't know that
Tips: Vilkas companion sword is a weightless quest item, easy to get and super strong to upgrade with 1 steel perk, and you can get the Elemental fury shout to quickly attack with it dps wise, you can dual wield it with an enchanted dagger or valdr's lucky dagger to quickly strike enchantments. Other significant weightless weapons are Balgrufs Greatsword (temperable). Or the civil war message war axe. You can get the Rueful axe and carry it around weightlessly until you return to the statue of Clavicus vile. Power attacks = cheap. Shagrol's orcish warhammer is weightless too.
The left and right power attack with two-handed weapons can hit multiple targets. Also with double backstab damage you can essentially get up to 30x sneak attack damage with daggers
I want to add something about the Elemental destruction Spells: Because they get a boost from Augmented Flames (and are thus considered a Flame Spell) they also get a boost from the Illusion Skill Perks that enhance Fear Spells, because Fire Spells are considered Illusion Spells (Even without Intense Flames). So If you are going for Pure Mage with these Spells, get ready to Melt your enemies.
@@jackanderson7222 The entire Right branch of the illusion tree, and the center branch up to intense fear. The Right branch simply raises the levels of enemies that your illusion spells work on, but for the Fire/Fear Trick that translates directly to a damage increase.
8:52 a warning while using this, sometimes if you read a quest book before actually taking it from the inventory, it won’t count as being read, then reading it a second time doesn’t work. For quest books in particular, play it safe and pocket them before reading 🤙
@@_kainzow9365 not every quest has this glitch, but there are a few that do, and I had been stuck in the quest because of it. For that reason, I take the note into inventory, then read it. After so many notes in my inventory, I go to my bookcase at my home and put all my books in there that are not active quests. Helps minimize the amount of "notes" in my inventory.
If you are an Orc, you can acces the fortress since the beginning and the one at south of Winterhold has a ebony mine. To level up smithing I always like to go to markath, do the quest of killing the Spider nimhe, started by talking to calcemo, and grab all dwemer scrap metal on the way to melt It to ingots. Then you buy Iron ore/ingots and with those two elements can make dwemer bows.
Shouting at wildlife - tried that on some butterflies recently (in my accident, un-modded PS3 version of Skyrim with no DLC or anything, just the original release) and it shocked the hell out of me to see the wings just drop out of the air. Kind of feel bad for the butterflies, but boy will this help me. I am so done with chasing the buggers around, distracted and getting mauled by a bear or troll as a result.
Unbounded frost is amazing at keeping melee opposition in check. I frequently offhand it with Unbounded shock on my solo mage build. Also, pets are considered immortal objects in the game and are thus immune to friendly fire and make an ideal pack rat for that type of mage build. As always destruction 0 magika cost enchanted armor is ideal for the build as the unbounded series are channel spells.
Here are some more I've encountered while doing enchantment alchemy loop: 1. The ingredients added by rare curiousities enhance fortifications beyond the regular ones, elevating the cap. Deugh wax mixed with Spriggan sap - especially useful. 2. Regular gold/silver rings and amulets used for temporary gear - can be reused by smithing a gem into them Ps. Staff of worms can be used to duplicate anything an NPC wears (or might wear) as long as they're below level 40
@@Conspirator9481 number 2: 1. Enchant a simple ring/necklace with fortify alchemy (also a circlet, a hood, gloves and a cloak if using "cloaks of Skyrim", but those are not reusable) 2. Thank you. One thing I've hated about Skyrim is the lack of education for players. Without UA-cam there are many pillar puzzles I'd never figure out. That said, I've learned an incredible amount from your videos. So thank you again. 😊
@@max7971 not when the puzzle only says doorway. At least not in my experience. If I hand you two 36" 2x4s, a teaspoon of wood ash and a cottonball and told you build a fire would you immediately know what to do?
If you have the Sprinting Attack perk in the one handed perk tree it will function with Silent Roll from the sneak tree. This allows for a sneak attack that also gains extra crit damage. Super effective when used in conjunction with the Slow Time shout.
Destruction spells are awesome in AE, especially Unbound Storms, which (if you want) can be use to quick level the Destruction tree like the Telekinesis exploit.
I’ve been playing since release. I even make mods for the game. Just found out today that Hawk Feathers cure diseases. And that’s why I love this game. Anyone who says it’s a mile wide and an inch deep is just hating on Skyrim because it isn’t Morrowind. I find MOST people who complain about Skyrim do so for that reason. They don’t realize games don’t become more successful and grow their audience by adhering to the wants of the original fan base. You have to adapt and grow. Bethesda has plenty of reasons to be disliked. Creating Skyrim in a palatable way for general audiences is not one of those reasons.
I did the "not the Dragonborn" playthrough a few years ago. I recovered the Dragonstone, but did not bring it to Farengar. Instead I built a house in Falkreath, married Ysolda, and adopted two kids. I was primarily smithing, enchanting, and alchemy, with a little bit of combat for if I was attacked first. No shouts, no Dragons. T'was a peaceful life.
I have tried to start the game and go trough it many times, never been able to go past whiterun, now ive finished the story line thieves guild and dark brotherhood, for new players getting into it so hard so videoes like this helps alot.
Appreciate you bro. I'm just beginning.. I've mentally hated these games since they came out.. until gamepass offered it and I said what the heck, why not.. sure enough I get lost in this game! Haha It was 3 am and I didn't even know it! 😂 needless to say, any tips and tricks that will help me get better stuff and lodging quicker is appreciated!
I hardly ever see anyone talk about fast waiting / fast resting. I feel like it’s just not well known. I explained it to a UA-camr doing a playthrough after 250 episodes because no one else had explained it, and he started using it. Anyway here it is: On PC when you’re on the wait/sleep timer, before you start the countdown just keep the mouse button that you moved the slider with held down, press E to start the timer, slide the slider all the way to the left, THEN release the mouse button. Any sleep / wait up to 24 hours will only take one tick, and be done in the time of a 1 hour wait. No need to wait on your waiting.
Currently in a Legendary playthrough and indeed like you suggested, my destruction spells started to be usefull once I got to the expert elemental spell. Its refreshing to be able to play Legendary as a mage without hiding behind summonings The new absorb health line of spells isnt bad too destruction wise.
Disintegrate actually does have a benefit. Any enemy hit by a shock spell below 10% or taken to that point by the spell will be turned into an ash pile. Turning enemies to ash is useful because it prevents ragdolling and glitches with corpses, however it does open up a few new glitches. Most of the time the 10% health thing isn’t much of a benefit because you should be doing much more damage than that per hit, but with dragons and other high HP enemies it’s a big boon.
Watching this rn after getting Skyrim Anniversary edition on the Switch. I haven’t played Skyrim in over 10 years. Put it this way - I stopped playing before any DLC lol
i think the best way to avoid dragons is to simply leave the dragon stone where it lay in bleak falls barrow. that way you never have to worry about getting too close to that tower which is at a central point in the open world
turning annoying NPC's into enchanted boots is also one of the funniest things you can do in skyrim IMHO... pretty much guarantee whenever someone with a name betrays me at the end of a quest...they're gonna be boots soon if you make them muffle...noone can hear them scream. edit: Pro-tip sell them to the orcs.... enjoy your afterlife in the orichalcum mines Nazeem, hope you like the freshness of those orc feets
To stop dragon attacks, follow the main story until delphine gives you the horn and asks you to go down to her basement, close the wardrobe door behind her and walk away. It stops all random dragon attacks, but leaves the ones on the summits still there. This has worked from day one of the vanilla game and still works in EVERY version since then. This also unlocks the Dragonborn DLC AND allows the civil war questline to function normally. This method does not prevent or break any other questline at all and is therefore FAR superior to any other method.
another tip i've found which is super handy that I've never seen in tip videos as long as you NEVER complete the Golden claw quest and return the claw to Lucan, then the Riverwood Trader will remain open 24/7, all day, every day, giving you access to a general store at any time, without waiting
You can get 2 dawnbreakers if you hit its pedestal with an explosion. Even summon a fire attronock right next to it then killing it works. You'll hear a loud clank when it works. Might take a couple tries. Make sure to find it on the floor BEFORE the one in the pedestal. Dual wielding the mighty dawnbreaker is great fun. You're welcome
Sweeping attacks are devastating against groups (be careful in that Thirsk quest, though. The game doesn't register you killing several Rieklings at once well and you'll have to redo the assault)
With shouting at butterflies it's like you send their body flying and the wings just drop to the ground, you can only pick up the wings so the rest must be.. over there
The Elemental Spells work great all the way up to level 100 Destruction. I run mods currently, and they shine well among the massive list of spells around their skill levels. They do a ton of damage when you dual charge them, with the perk enabled, and the AOE is such an added bonus.
you can level destruction by charging unbounded lightning then fast travelling great distances...literally take 2 minutes to get 100 once you have the spell
Actually, you only have to trigger "the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller" to trigger the Dragonborn DLC. You can also go to Solsteim earlier just by paying the captain of the boat outside Windhelm.
For those who don’t know, there is a new way to level up destruction to 100 super easily: Cast Unbound Storm then fast travel to the other side of the map
Destruction has always been one of the most slowest for me to level up. *Shrugs* I don't know why! Because I''ve invested in the other magical skills like conjuration, illusion and restoration easily to 100+ *BUT* destruction is just a different story.. Destruction gets old over time anyway SO it's not like it's a big deal to me because my weapons are 3x stronger even with destruction maxed out with points! So I just ended up getting all of those points back because fu- screw destruction : ' /
@@nickydelrey2192 oh I know that, but I still wanted to say it for those who didn’t know (because leveling Destruction to 100 is a fucking PAIN IN THE ASS!) and you can also make your elemental enchantment stronger by taking both elemental flame/frost/lightning and the perks in the enchantment skill tree.
@@williamcote4208 I know this ain't part of what we're talking about but I'm kind of surprised I'm watching Skyrim videos like this again after I haven't even played for it a year - *YET* I seem to remember a lot from the game. 16:22 I can confirl, these elemental speels work great on Legendary Difficulty. Especially when you combine if with potions and gear that increases your Magicka and your Magicka regeneration.
8:05 A good potion combo that can be made easily from grown items at the farm is either "Blister Wart and Blue Mountain Flower", or "Wheat and Blue Mountain Flower". It makes a Fortify Health and Restore Health potion. At low level they should sell for about 200 gold each. They also help power level your alchemy skill, without using any glitches. 10:58 Sometimes putting a soul gem into a container works to empty them too. Found that out the hard way.
Regarding Encumbrance, I recommend making Fortify Carry Weight one of the two enchantments on all apparel you wear... and unlock the Extra Pockets perk for another 100 carry weight.
Plus Fortify Carry Weight potions are easy to craft. All you need is Creep Cluster, Mora Tapinella, and Scaly Pholiota. If you are using the Goldenhills Plantation, just grow an endless amount of these three ingredients there.
The creation club pets of skyrim pets all have inventory space. You get a separate teleport spell for each pet. When your inventory is full, you can summon one or more of them, fill up their inventory and then they will go back to their designated home. When you get to a merchant, you just resummon them, empty their inventory and sell the items.
These extra pets are glitchy in my game, they disappear if I send them to my home that is not an original town home. My pet Skeever, I sent it to my home in Riften sewers "Shadowfoot Sanctum"... and it's not there. I also bought an armored troll from Dawnguard, and went to my home "Hendraheim" and told it to stay here... and when I came back to the house it was gone. I got the spider pet and sent it to "Hendraheim" too, and it's not there... so sad. Meanwhile I have two spider looking creatures that i don't remember what they are called (I got them from the saints and seducers quest), but I sent them to Breezehome and they are there hanging out like they are supposed to be.
@@jaminv2889 I have actually had similar issues, when assigning pets to dlc/addon type homes. However, when casting the teleport/summon spell they always show up wherever I am at.
Using the mace of molag bal is exactly what I do, but I don't disenchant anything I just use the mace to fill soul gems, then use them on the mace when it runs out, it's a never ending cycle
OMG - shout at butterflies!!!! Why didn’t I ever think of that. Only been playing this since the original release (hitting download at the stroke of midnight). One minute in and already a thumbs up.
One that I just discovered is that if you are on a horse dragons won't attack you. They'll land right beside you and you can just melee them from your horse. It works better than using Dragonrend b/c it pretty much puts the dragons out of combat so they won't fly around either and they just land. I only tried this a couple of times as it's pretty much cheating but it didn't seem like it was a glitch that could be fixed with a restart. But with that said it could be pretty useful if you're a lower level and playing on a difficulty where the game just throws things at you that can be unfair at times and you have like no previous save to go to so you don't keep dying over and over.
The farm broke my game economy because I would plant equal amounts of nightshade and blue mountain flowers to mass produce damage magika regen poison which has an extremely high value to weight ratio and I could always buy anything I want, like soul gems to max out enchanting. Just save, attack the merchent and reload and their inventory resets.
Getting a crossbow early IS nice, but getting new ammo for it basically requires you to either A) buy it at the fletcher in Solitude or B) get through a decent portion of Dawnguard to be able to build your own crossbow and bolts.
ESO has a vid about free op crossbows, dragon bone & daedric I think, and gives a location to get free bolts. Can't remember where as I haven't played yet. Waiting on getting a device to play on.
Thank Goodness that arrows and bolts have no weight... I have thousands in my inventory, and I've never used a crossbow in the game, have one in my house, but have tons of bolts with me because I find them everywhere... lol.
Raised corpses have no Encumbrance so if you load the dead body with your loot it can carry an infinite amount this means the "Dread thrall" spell gives you a companion with infinite carry weight.
I have a two handed and I can double attack (light attack/cancel/power attack) works the same as the swords, but because the move is slower you hace to wait a bit as the timing is different. Or maybe just the maze version of two handed can cancel into a heavy, haven't tested. But I am certain you can cancel at least 1 type of two handed into a heaby
Elemental fury dual pickaxes, damn near instant mining, also if you time it just after you hit a light attack with a great weapon, you can use a forward heavy very quickly afterwards, helps when you need something down quickly
16:00 Legendary player here... Destruction power is based on alchemy, alchemy is based on enchanting... Also, I haven't gone super into the math, but I imagine a pick axe (which hits 2 times with a power attack) enchanted with 2 magic's, forgetting chaos damage which is broken, and say just lightning and fire + best possible fortify destruction potion + weakness to magic/shock/fire poison is best magic DPS, but also probably over kill for most anything in the game. Ofc with broken chaos damage and the same method, the damage is even more game breakingly OP. For actual spell casting, my favorite is the sun flare and North wind spells from the DB DLC because there is no cast animation. 1 powerful fortify destruction potion, and then just explode. Great for mobbing up entire waves of enemies all at once. It demands strategic use though since it can only be charged once a day and one has to return to the sun and wind stone to have the skill. The pro is casting 2 master tier spells in a massive AOE while simultaneously shielding, drawing a bow, shouting or swinging a weapon.
You can unenchant the gloves of the pugilist. But yes it is easier to find unarmed damaging gauntlets now, and i think the dardric brawlers gloves goes perfectly with daedric plate armor. Good vid so far.
Having started a new run in Skyrim which I am determined to actually finish, this is all awesome to see. I'm currently running special with a few creation things, but mya try just going full Anniversary now. Also feel slightly called out because of old lady ANise LOL.

Was coming here to say this lol. That Black Book is the most valuable thing in the game for mages
Just started my 1st playthrough. Is that quest late game?
@@jessearseneault756 There's no such thing as "late game" in Skyrim haha, you can start almost any quest line at any time. But for this quest, you have to take a ship to Solstheim which isn't recommended until level 15-ish. You also fight a really tough enemy so better be prepared
If you are going the enchanting route, get the black book before you enhance any unique weapons or enchant your end game crafting gear as well.

That's a great story/RP idea!😊

For Legendary, i would highly recommend Fortify Destruction potions to increase the damage. Since enemies are only taking 0.25× damage from you, and you're getting 3× damage from enemiesin in return. You're squishy without potions.

Re: No Dragons
There’s also an option to disable random dragon spawns!
Thank you!
No, this is something everyone spreads around but it's completely false. They become active as soon as you begin that quest.
@@DoomsdayApparatus
I mean, I tested it out before posting the comment and it worked, so I have no idea what you're going on about.
@@Nobythulhu So have I and the quest makes dragons spawn.
@@DoomsdayApparatus
Then your game is bugged to hell and back.
There're other essential followers you can get, but I found her to be one of the best.
mjoll is life. i always marry her in my playthroughs as well lol
(24 minutes in real time.)
Side note: On PC you can use console commands to adjust the time scale settings and increase the bonus's real time duration.
Does the time change work for hunger and exhaustion as well when playing survival?
Does "Companion's Insight" from one of the Blackbooks not work? It's one of those things I've been meaning to try but never got 'round to 🤔
@@trooper6762 I'm not sure.
Wouldn't dual wielding pickaxe be better lol

I fell in love with this game cause Made me feel Free to become a beast how i want to, Amazing.
Just a couple of tips not covered here that I picked up on my third playthrough:
Fast Travel While Overloaded: If you are overloaded, you can still ride around and fast travel while on your horse despite being overloaded.
I just sell enchanted jewelry to that chick in the Thieves Guild with 4k gold
Great job thanks for this. Note that dragons don’t spawn if you don’t follow Delphine downstairs. So you can retrieve horn and continue on shout quest. Also, hot soups are better than standard. Add fire salts and get warmth bonus plus the other benefits of soups.

Last time I played Skyrim was on PS3 from a bargain bin. Over a decade later, I've returned and man it's awesome.
Similar here....although I'm playing on pc now....while I wait for FO5 😆
there is also a second disadvantage to the elemental flare type spells, which can also be used to an advantage, when they explode upon hitting something they will send any small items in the area flying a short distance, so, books, gems and a few other small items will be moved, and can get pushed off a table or behind something where you might not see it.
you can use that to your advantage for certain traps.. the spell casting traps you can use them to knock the soul gem powering the trap down, for rope traps you would normally trip walking past, you can hit them with a spell, also works great on rune traps. (the rope traps you can actually hit with anything, spells, arrows, or even just activate if you get close, then back off quick so you don't get hit)
the farm is great, so many plots to plant in, harvest each plot for 3 or 4 plants each, then go inside to the pantry and get another of every plant, plus milk, honey and eggs if you have the other upgrades. also has all the crafting stations, even a cooking pot. also the "profits" mentioned in the video. the very rare yellow mountain flowers also grow in one spot near the apiary, no idea why you can't plant those.
Afaik wont help vs aoe magic, soooo...
So if i were to do illusion what perks would i need?
@@jackanderson7222 The entire Right branch of the illusion tree, and the center branch up to intense fear. The Right branch simply raises the levels of enemies that your illusion spells work on, but for the Fire/Fear Trick that translates directly to a damage increase.

1. The ingredients added by rare curiousities enhance fortifications beyond the regular ones, elevating the cap. Deugh wax mixed with Spriggan sap - especially useful.
2. Regular gold/silver rings and amulets used for temporary gear - can be reused by smithing a gem into them

You can sneak roll without the perk, and use it with 1/2 handed charge, if you jump and hold sprint as you land, then hold attack :)
Early in the game (before you legendary your sneak skill) sneaking with an arrow drawn causes you to move faster, even if you're overburdened.
You forgot the hot version of soups that restore warmth in colder climates. Those versions require fire salt as well as the base ingredients.
Crossbows also intermittently available at the Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun
I hardly ever see anyone talk about fast waiting / fast resting. I feel like it’s just not well known. I explained it to a UA-camr doing a playthrough after 250 episodes because no one else had explained it, and he started using it. Anyway here it is:
On PC when you’re on the wait/sleep timer, before you start the countdown just keep the mouse button that you moved the slider with held down, press E to start the timer, slide the slider all the way to the left, THEN release the mouse button. Any sleep / wait up to 24 hours will only take one tick, and be done in the time of a 1 hour wait. No need to wait on your waiting.
That first tip was so genuinely new and interesting that I subscribed.
Currently in a Legendary playthrough and indeed like you suggested, my destruction spells started to be usefull once I got to the expert elemental spell. Its refreshing to be able to play Legendary as a mage without hiding behind summonings
The new absorb health line of spells isnt bad too destruction wise.
The no dragons is a life saver for my thief builds, thank you so much 😂😂😂
Disintegrate actually does have a benefit.
You can also gather insects by using frost spells to kill them, then just pick them up.
i think the best way to avoid dragons is to simply leave the dragon stone where it lay in bleak falls barrow. that way you never have to worry about getting too close to that tower which is at a central point in the open world
But you can also avoid it easyly.
@@gabrielefried3853 nah
@@originalSiiiN I must be genious bc I never run into it accidentually... 😉😊
@@gabrielefried3853 ha
Wish I knew that. I accidentally ran into the tower. It's my first playthrough.
8:23 omg black bash wow thank you. Also elemental fury helps with mining in general
One daedric artifact I always get in any playthrough is the Black Star. It's a black soul gem that never breaks and you can refill it again and again.
turning annoying NPC's into enchanted boots is also one of the funniest things you can do in skyrim IMHO...
pretty much guarantee whenever someone with a name betrays me at the end of a quest...they're gonna be boots soon
if you make them muffle...noone can hear them scream.
edit: Pro-tip sell them to the orcs....
enjoy your afterlife in the orichalcum mines Nazeem, hope you like the freshness of those orc feets
This method does not prevent or break any other questline at all and is therefore FAR superior to any other method.
another tip i've found which is super handy that I've never seen in tip videos
as long as you NEVER complete the Golden claw quest and return the claw to Lucan, then the Riverwood Trader will remain open 24/7, all day, every day, giving you access to a general store at any time, without waiting
With shouting at butterflies it's like you send their body flying and the wings just drop to the ground, you can only pick up the wings so the rest must be.. over there
Plus ... you have to find both halves or you've "out-cooled" yourself!"
I can attest. I love drstruction and upping the difficulty makes it more fun
Khajiit: Very well, I'll take a large Vanilla Skyrim Sunday, hold the weapons, please. 💚👽
@@williamcote4208
The 'PAIN IN THE ASS' part is an understatement
@@nickydelrey2192 oh I know.

I know this ain't part of what we're talking about but I'm kind of surprised I'm watching Skyrim videos like this again after I haven't even played for it a year - *YET* I seem to remember a lot from the game.
I guess it's because it is a game I grew up with as a child? It helped me a lot during tough times.
But it's just crazy to think I first played it when I was 12-13 and now I'm 17. Time sure does fly so quickly! But regardless of how old I'll be, this game will always have a place in my heart!
(^) That sounds so sentimental but I don't really care to be honest =')
16:22 I can confirl, these elemental speels work great on Legendary Difficulty. Especially when you combine if with potions and gear that increases your Magicka and your Magicka regeneration.
If you go up the sneak tree the daggers can go to 15 times damage instead of the normal 3 times
Yeah you already know man
Let’s go
8:05 A good potion combo that can be made easily from grown items at the farm is either "Blister Wart and Blue Mountain Flower", or "Wheat and Blue Mountain Flower".
Skyrim is one of the greatest games of all time. This is the first I'm hearing about the anniversary edition, I've got to check it out.
@@WilliamSmith-cj6iv i need to try that! I forget you can summon them!
Giving that ghost a death valley driver around 07:04 was preem!
The ''no dragons'' one was amusing, as that's how I play 99% of the time :P
Skyrim vet here, and I never thought of having companions pick up books
The farm broke my game economy because I would plant equal amounts of nightshade and blue mountain flowers to mass produce damage magika regen poison which has an extremely high value to weight ratio and I could always buy anything I want, like soul gems to max out enchanting. Just save, attack the merchent and reload and their inventory resets.
You broke it yourself?...
'Remove disease': Garlic Bread is also very light, but it's VERY hard for me to ever find butter.
Normally, shouting at wildlife involves some form of long term alcohol addiction.
Easily a top 3 Skyrim channel. I love your stuff!
