    Ab Workout for Women! Sexy Six-Pack Playlist • What Is Your Core? | A...
    So I'm going to demonstrate how to do a bird dog for you. So you're going to start out in a quadruped position, which is basically what you see here. Your hands are under your shoulders and your knees are under your hips. So you're going to take one leg out high behind you.
    You're going to point your toe. You're going to reach your opposite arm out in front of you, and you're going to reach. You have a couple options here. You could stay here if this is challenging enough. If you want more of a challenge, you're going to take your elbow into your knee and extend it long.
    Extend it long. So I like to go about 5 to 15 reps on each side. So you're going to take your opposite leg and extend it high behind you, point your toe, reach out forward with your opposite arm, and take it in toward your belly button and extend. It's a great exercise for your abs and also a great tool to use as a warm up. And that's how you do a bird dog.

    I don't believe McGill,who invented the bird dog ,would instruct to extend your leg "high" behind you because this can cause the lower back to go into too much extension, causing excessive movement in the spine, which you can see happening in this video demonstration.McGill says to extend the leg straight back and not too high, so the spine remains unmoving, stable and still.

    I am a competing IPF Powerlifter and this exercise my coach show me and we use it as a rehab and prehab exercise! He used this from his spinal disc herniation and i use it from lowerback pain! So i really recommend this to everyone with lowerback pain! I dont feel and use it like a ab workout its just chilling my core and do it strong, stable and ofc healty
    I didnt look the video before commenting but do not crunch your abs or do that thing with leg and arm meeting eatchother just have a static posture. in 5-10 sec and change side 5-10 times

      @@muziuzi6469 And yet you felt complied to comment about your negative attitude, was it because you truly didn't care or are you so unhappy with yourself that the only way you can deal with your emotions is to put down/undermine other people's opinions and experiences?
      Nobody gives the same attention and caring nature towards you, but that doesn't mean you must completely disregard others. I know depression closes the sufferer off from the world, it's an internal disease, and it can be difficult to think of others and put yourself in someone else's shoes when it affects you and only you, it's unfortunately natural to develop that mindset under the stormy clouds.
      I'm here to tell you that the world isn't against you, lashing out at others is no way to go about connecting with them, everybody experiences this life differently and everyone can do great things with the time we're lucky to even have.
      Change, get rid of that gloomy energy, be proud that you've come this far and understand that you are much better for it, let the darkness be cast away for now you are in the light. If ever you begin slipping back into that old state of mind, you can always see the light whenever you choose, and you will forever be deserving of everything it has to offer so long as you give it your all!

    Read watch Stewart McGill. This is one of his Big 3 core training exercises. But . . . The back and hips don’t flex ! They don’t move. If they are you’re just flapping your arms and legs around and doing no work at all.
    This is not a great example

    • @MoLetalis
      @MoLetalis 5 років тому +10

      it's an exercise for your entire core. lower and middle back, abs, glutes, hamstrings. Focus on keeping your spine straight (not twisting it), lifting your leg higher than demonstrated in this video (more like a donkey kick) and stretching your arm simultaneously with your leg.

      If you are bringing you knee up towards the upper part of your body then your abs will contract as you do so.
      It's like flipping this so that you are on your back and then bringing up your knee towards your upper body, which will be like a single leg, bent knee leg raise.
