- Riggs has returned to We-Ko-Pa, and this time he's at the Cholla course. Riggs has high hopes for the Cholla course, as the Saguaro course holds his highest rating (66) throughout his desert tour. Will Cholla hold up against Saguaro?

Just played this course last Saturday! I don’t know how the course always is, but I liked that it wasn’t too busy. Pricy though, I think there are a few better courses in Scottsdale for the price.
Damn. Tell me those fairways are bigger than they look.
I thought the same before I played it a year ago. Actually most of the fairways are generous, but sand and rocks await if you miss right or left.

How do you not hit a low cut around those bushes for the second shot?? (Not that I would nail it every time) But as a righty I can hit a low cut / slice down there with a 3 or 4 iron. I never would have gone over the bush as a rightly at least..
Best play would be a pitching wedge over the bushes. Low cut brings in that hazard area on the left big time.
Almost on in 2 with a blast of a 3 wood. I also played the back tees. Birdied it!

Cholla is way better than what you scored it at a minimum its equal to Sagura. The Camelback score was way off. I know you love We-Ka-Pa but you missed on this score.

Man Desert Golf is kicking your butt 🤣 it all about controlled shots, need to play some better courses.....a lot of better courses here in Az.
Ill be first to be positive, I think his swing is getting better. I think the easiest thing is the only obstacle to a scratch swing so to speak. Put frame 2:10 on slow mo. Get more knee bend, stay in posture, move spine angle closer to ball, just an inch or so at address, then stay in posture and eliminate the tippy toe straight leg goat h#$@mp move and you have 0 capper swing.

Every time you take club back and twigs fall off that bush . It is a penalty stroke.

It did, you can even see a piece break off it.
This place is highly overrated. Found out the hard way. Terrible service, tee sheet jammed with hacks that think spending a fortune makes it a good track.
