My man appreciate you watching and giving that feedback for sure. Try my best to make it a solid watch as a non-videographer. Also thanks for the condolences truly.
Really enjoy your positivity my man, you got my subscription. I used to live in that area and now in OC and have never played there 🤦🏻♂️ it’s a must now. RIP to your Pops 🙏
Appreciate that my man and welcome to the community. Def working to be more positive, I think I’m a better golfer than I am lol. Great spot I really enjoyed it. I gotta try out courses in OC since I go to Irvine for work here and there. Thanks for those condolences 💪🏽
@@nogimmesgolfhaha hey man, positivity is the name of the game. Btw, Pelican Hill in Newport Coast I hear is amazing, but hella expensive. It’s also where Kobe lived ✊ But If you wanna do something cheaper but have the nice beach weather, Costa Mesa Golf Course isn’t bad either. Close to Irvine
Welcome to California bro. You played in my lowest round course. Love oak quarry if it’s not for the high green fees, I’d play there all the time. Btw, shot 76 from the white tees and I am a 14 hcp!!!!!! Damn, they sure chopped off a ton of trees branches out on that course.
Appreciate that my man! I think it’s a good stop to make. Pelican Hill is on my list in Newport Beach but it’s so expensive lol. Enjoy and thanks for watching 💪🏽 just subscribed to you
Very cool vid! Oak Quarry is one of the nicer courses out there in the Inland Empire. Glad you enjoyed it. Hope you get to play some of the courses in Orange County or LBC. They're fun.
Appreciate that for sure! Thanks for watching! Believe it or not I shoot with my phone - iPhone 15 Pro Max. For a mic I use the Hollyland Lark M1 which plugs right into the usb c port.
Appreciate you watching and for that rec! As for the tip, it’s legit something I’ve been focusing on this year. Filmed this back in May and I can truly say the next video of mine I upload, I no longer do that (at least to this degree). I’ve had to retrain my mind and swing mechanics and it’s paid off the more it’s become muscle memory. Appreciate you looking out with that tip!
I use to play that course a lot before the prices got out of control! It’s a cool course but there is so many better courses within an hour from there!
Appreciate your other comment - I’ll have to research them for sure! I’m pretty open to travel when I’m there for work so it’s all about what’s the best course experience
Thanks for the memories - I played that course around 15 years ago. My friends in our foursome were calling me 'the snowman' as I was shooting 8 on nearly every hole, but the only par I made was on the signature hole (#16). You would've thought I'd made a hole in one after the roar I let out after that putt! How do you add your 'scorecard/status' in the upper right corner along with your 'shot tracker' to your videos?
Glad to take you down memory lane. The snowman is hilarious 😂 and that’s a great story. The score is the tougher part as I had to create a series of text boxes in PowerPoint, and I go through and update every distance, score, Par, and club for every shot. It’s some work but people really like it and as someone who watches a lot of YT golf, it’s a value add for a viewer. Totally independent process from the shot tracers that are added via their MacBook program. Hope you like the score feature (comes in handy with somebody shooting 92 lol)
Appreciate the kind words, Joseph! Welcome and I hope you enjoy the other content. Short answer is learned in 2007 but played rounds with friends starting 2015. Finally Got lessons in 2021 and that’s when I started getting serious. It’s been a journey man.
@nogimmesgolf if you really want to treat yourself, Pelican Hill in Newport has very scenic views. A bit pricey though. North of 300. I go every other year for this one.
I see it every time I’m there and I always felt like my game wasn’t good enough to enjoy it. As of late, I’m liking my game so that may be the one I play this fall to cap off a great year. Would be a dream to record it but I know a place like that won’t like that lol
Was a member here for a number of years I always thought playing the same course all the time would get boring On this course It never did!!!! But I hear they changed the course around Hole #1 was #17 back in the day Hole #3 was the 1st hole
I can definitely tell this never got boring! Would happily play this weekly. Good mix of scorable holes and some selective shots, good Par 3s. Some guys were telling me about the change. 14 is now 16. I couldn’t imagine the routing any other way. Thanks for watching 🫡
Hey man if you come back this way let me know we can play other courses for a better cost i am a 19 handicap and have played most of the public courses out here in So. Cal.
Hey bro no i dont use IG (i do have but never used it) im 58years old lololololol been playen golf for only 4 years but love the game and the guys such as yourself who put out content (so i can learn how to play) i live outside of Pasadena, CA and have played alot of these courses i will tell you that the greens out here are all about the same as you experienced and there is about 20% of them with the same scenery but the play can be slow 3hours at first light upto 6hours mid day along the 15fwy all of the courses have the same feel (glen ivy, eagle glen, dos lagos, cross creek, rancho california, redhawk, tukweet, oak valley, - summerly links is a fun course for a links & soboda gc is a good course
@deanoh9929 ahh I got you. I’ll try to remember you but if you hit me on there that’ll be the easiest way. Thats good to know about the greens, def caught me off guard. I played hidden valley the next day and the greens were more of the same so I thought I just got unlucky twice lol. Glad you’re enjoying the game and I can be a part of your journey my man!
Appreciate those condolences my man. You got an IG? I live in Chicago but def open to hitting you when I’m back since I get there for work. Can you hit me @nogimmesgolfig?
Yeah man they def can. Def wish these ran more true but funny enough the course the next day had similar greens. So makes me wonder about Cali greens a little bit

Played this with my brother in law years ago. The wind was howling so hard that we were hitting 30-40° off target to compensate for the wind 😂
RIP Pop

looks like the prices came down... I stopped playing there becasue it was over 170 on weekends... great course, but its typically a 5 hour round
Damn $170 is super steep. I was playing Friday afternoon twilight, but it may be ~$140 on prime times

Yo Luis, def can golf with you guys my man! You have an IG to be able to hit me directly? I’ll be there on a work from within the next 2 months
Rest well done UM❤

Yeah man they def can. Def wish these ran more true but funny enough the course the next day had similar greens. So makes me wonder about Cali greens a little bit
Honestly its not worth the price just go to eagle glen and pay 60 bucks less for the same quality
Oh word, that gives me a spot to add to the list. Appreciate that rec because I’m all for quality and saving 🍞!
