I did it on NG+ with Fire Arrows. He can’t hit you while hard scoping from this position.

I’m honestly not sure… I only played the game through once and haven’t played it for some time… now awaiting Elden ring with anticipation!
If it doesn't, this bosses isn't hard. Not super easy though. Most players will most likely kill this boss on first try
