The ritual path seems like the best option for farming as you dont directly confront the enemy and once you kill the enemy you gain more souls from nearby enemies as well.
The best method in this case would be 3-4. in Front of the boss area is an enemy, who gives you 26k souls with souls seeker. This methods needs only 15sec.

Nah. I tried that. Suffered enough. I started reading guides and seeing videos. Only after I made third world pure black and impossible to play, I discovered how to do some farming. After I leveled up, i returned and started killing bosses to make it white again. Much more fun to me.
Tried that but this game is too bare and simple to enjoy, no online, no coop, barely any pvp, combat is outdated as hell and so on. It makes me appreciate Dark Souls even more, they sure improved a lot over this one.

Max difficulty and souls gain is NG+5 in demon souls both OG and remake, (Bloodborne and DS1 is NG+6, while DS2,DS3,Sekiro and ER is NG+7). For vast majority of Black Phantom spawns your world needs to be in pure black tendency it also increases drop rates and souls gains of enemies but they also deal more dmg and such. If at pure white simply die 7 times in body form. Just checked the wiki. 8'844'424 souls are needed for the last level up to 712. Soul Level 1 to Soul Level 120 is only a total of 3,506,802 Souls. 853'548 are needed for a level up to 300. Likely at around 300, you can reach most soft caps.

This is my stand as well. I don't grind at early spots as well and do straight progression and preserves the game difficulty during my first playthrough. But there are people who loves to grind at early and mid game. So there you go. Options for them.
You can do the bow glitch to make enemies not attack you and then you dont need to be sneaky and you dont need soul thirst to 1 shot the black phantom skeletons. You just can't kill the final boss. You can also go kill the primevil demons this way without any issues at all archstones
Hmm, something's wrong. You should be getting 3352 souls per monster at new game + . In my video, I showed an example for New Game and New Game +. You can get more souls when in your second playthrough.

That's why I suggested to farm at pure white or at least near pure white when doing this method. But overall I suggest the last and best method to get the best results.
You can proceed and beat this game without farming at all but indeed the manta rays can conver up your early needs. Indeed the last method pertains to min maxing and stuff.
Ah no. I mentioned the 166k souls for the " unoptimized runs " at NG+5 and up. Please note that I have " two " sets of methods in the last farming spot. One is straight farming and optimized. The the optimized run, provides the 217k souls per run.
Also in the Ritual Path method, observe it carefully. The first clip that I have shown is an NG+5 Character. Hence providing 29k souls. While the actual method is in NG+1 hence providing the 4k ish souls.
Has anyone tried the soulsucker soul farm on the red skeles in 4-3? I cant get close enough to cast before they aggro. Im using graverobbers ring and cloak but when i get close enough to land the cast they still aggro. Any advice?
I believe nothing has changed with this method, its more of the angle when you do the soul sucking tech. Are you trying to just walk while you sneak behind them?
@@JRPGSamurai I tried a few experiments on this I stood just out of soul suck range, walked in, they only aggro when I cast soulsucker. I could stand there all day with them doing nothing until I start the cast. It's the same with the squid faces in the ivory tower, but they're so slow I finish before they attack.
@@dannybailey666 You should be completely behind them. Trust me it works since I did it like hundred times lol XD. Its just that the your position really matters when using the soul suck.
@@JRPGSamurai the solution is to use the catalyst in the right hand. It has more range apparently. It was in some old ps3 forum. It seemed to work, although I turned the world back to white so it has to be next plsythrough for the skeletons.

Third method has a glitch (I think). Using storm ruler on 4 mantas at once only reward me with souls of 3 (11k aprx). I'm doing something wrong? It's my first run btw

the third method seems Like totally overkill My stats are way good enough without having to go to all that trouble I've got 30 in like almost everything and it wasn't a very long farm to get it just with the manta rays
Thanks! I've been doing this all evening. For some reason that last skeleton always fks with me. I also lost quite a few on the first reaper because as I killed him, one of the ghosts hit me for a one tap before it dissolves, was not happy lol
I can’t do this method the skeletons are hell bent on turning around before I even get close I have both the thief’s ring and the grave robber ring and they still turn before I’m even near them
The early game methods are recorded during NG. and if my memory serves me correctly, I was around NG+6 or +7. Hope it helps, sorry my memory is a lil bit fuzzy due to Elden Ring right now XD

3:43 Find the merchant in the area, then you can buy arrows on your way to the farming spot. No need to go back to Nexus.

Ritual path w ring (enemies drop more souls). Use soul thirst and kill reaper w arrows. You don't even need to drop down. Best method on ng+.

Sounds like you are in pure white world tendency which makes the game easier at the expense of lessening all your rewards.

I fount out about the Ritual Path when I was revisiting it, only I was dropping down onto the Reaper and killing it. this way seems a lot better.
Its fast and fluid as well. But the last method is still the best in terms of souls income per hour. But yeah a matter of pref. =D
But in manta rays seems a better farm. No???
For the second method( the reaper) get the pure black tendency and the avarice ring then when you kill him you’ll get 8000 souls instead of 4000
Also upgrade the bow to kill him faster
So the last method is only recommended for NG+ and for normal we farm the manta rays, correct?

Make sure that your distance is right since if you are too close they will notice you.

Try to make sure if you are wearing “light armor” instead of heavys. Heavy armor makes “noises”
