I just synced up the original video on mute on my other monitor to follow along and support the original video at the same time (though I've watched it probably a few dozen times over the years already). 😅
Welcome to the rabbit hole of 2cellos. I saw them in concert last year. I suggest you start with their rock. Highway to Hell is epic but Smells Like Teen Spirit (live at Sydney Opera House) is phenomenal, especially the drummer who is on another level. They are classically trained and cover all genres of music. I guarantee you will enjoy the ride
Got to check out more of them. Teen spirit, highway to hell. They have so many good covers. Even did walk this way with Steven Tyler performing with them
Classically trained. Discovered by Elton John very shortly after they put out their first UA-cam and spent time opening for him.If you are falling down the 2Cellos rabbit hole just know that it is well worth the journey.
The fraying of the cello bows like that is normal, since they're made of animal hairs (I think horse hair, either from the mane, or the tail). The reason the bows are so thick is first, to give a good surface for the bows to grip and release along the cello strings, and second, so that in the course of a concert, the bow won't have to be periodically replaced due to normal wear.
I suggest that you listen to Apocalyptica, a cello quartet from Finland. Their most popular video is I Don't Care with Adam Gontier (original vocalist with Three Days Grace). Their debut album was their cello versions of eight Metallica songs. Their songs have featured Joe Duplantier of Gorjira, Brent Smith of Shinedown, Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil and Troy Donockley of Nightwish.
Thanks for the reaction! These guys are incredible and definitely classically trained. Check out some of their solo stuff as well, but other greats of these 2 together include: Celine Dion's "My Heart Will go On" - this is with a full orchestra, but shows their passion. ua-cam.com/video/8lWXXHiQf6M/v-deo.html U2''s "With or Without You" - ua-cam.com/video/LbBoSbr-KSo/v-deo.html U2's "Where the Streets Have No Name" - another fun one, and the technical skill is amazing : ua-cam.com/video/hBzmSKFlbHg/v-deo.html And for something on the classical side, "Bendictus" - simply a stunning performance : ua-cam.com/video/f_RjlIPuqyc/v-deo.html
Having seen them live, performing their songs flawlessly, with good humor and great attitudes, is a highlight of my concert going experiences. They are very entertaining and incredibly talented.
What blows me away with these guys is how the hell do they maintain that pace of bowing?! I love these guys, they have quite a bit of this type of music. Other's too. I think they have a performance at the Acropolis.
Someone once commented on their videos saying "when you wanted a guitar...but your parents bought you a cello"! 😂, absolutely incredible 👏 my favourite is them with Steven Tyler at the colosseum doing dream on ❤
These two are amazing at what they do! The video is fun, I have watched it many times! They are crazy! I love the song too and they are sooooo talented! Love your reactions!👍👍
If you like the cello you should react to "The Kevin Show/Kevin's Fifth" which is an amazing solo by Kevin Olusola from Pentatonix 🥰. 2Cellos also did "Smooth Criminal" on a Glee episode.
Nick, I must agree with the other commenter, if you like cellos, Apocalyptica will blow your mind. My favourite band and music act, ever, and they are absolutely incredible live. My favourites at the moment are their cover of Metallica 's One and their original composition En Route To Mayhem.
It really doesn't matter what you choose with 2Cellos, whether Game of Thrones theme they played in King's Landing (Dubrovnik) or any live show (with or without drummer). Epic is the word.
They have another cover of Thunderstruck titled Do you Want to be a Rock Star? It is in a heavy metal venue! Also check out Highway To Hell with Steve Vai
You need to check out their cover of Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal ... it went viral to the point that they were invited onto the show Glee when they covered the song (which is also very good with Grant Gustin (Flash) and the late, great Naya Rivera)
a few more of their rock covers you might like, Welcome to the Jungle by Guns 'N Roses, The Show must go On by Queen, and the Trooper Overture (a mashup of the William Tell Overture and Iron Maiden's The Trooper_
Well, modern classical musicians are a little more open these days ;) you have aha at Carnegie Hall ua-cam.com/video/DHbLuIxw3y4/v-deo.html and the Danish symphony covering Good Bad and the Ugly ua-cam.com/video/enuOArEfqGo/v-deo.html probably good bit more out there
Sorry about the blur. I figured out a better way to do it in the future so you can see!

Can't wait for the next 2Cello reaction.

Masterful control of their instrument. You need to know it inside and out to get this done.

Wonderful Rich, thank you SO much!

They keep ramping up!
I saw them live many years ago in St. Louis. They are amazing whether playing classical, rock etc.
With the song With Or Without You [LIVE at Arena Pula] the also show a very emotional side of their music.
That one makes me cry.
Someone once commented on their videos saying "when you wanted a guitar...but your parents bought you a cello"! 😂, absolutely incredible 👏 my favourite is them with Steven Tyler at the colosseum doing dream on ❤
They are doing their own music these days separately and I love them both. If I understand correctly they toured as 2Cellos for about 10 years.
One of my favorite UA-cam videos of all time!
Hello
Here we are again for another wonderful experience. Working hard Nick❤
Thanks again Paul!
These two are amazing at what they do! The video is fun, I have watched it many times! They are crazy! I love the song too and they are sooooo talented!
Love your reactions!👍👍

I was going to suggest KO too! Excellent.
Sorry, have to add one more comment. Since you love the cello, and love Pentatonix, check out their covers of "Shallow" and "Say Something".
Hysterical
I absolutely love this perfomance! I always get chills when the first bass hits come in

Saw them in 2018. Awesome concert 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Both educated at the Music Academy of Zagreb. Then went onto various other musical academies
Hi! Loved your face when you "got it"! If you listen to them doing "Who Wants To Live Forever"...... you'll love it! 😊
Someday...if wishes came true...I would give almost anything to see/hear a musical collaboration between 2Cellos and Kevin Olusola.
They are incredible

Oh wow GOT sounds amazing
I've loved this by 2Cellos for years but it is such a shame the video is blurred as it adds to the whole experience.😢
I guess that's the definition of "shredding " cellos!!
This pair are crazy mad and so good, they've done smells, like teen spirit and the game of thrones theme to name a few🇬🇧
Love it!
These two are to classical cello what Pentatonix is to acapella. EPIC! 🤩🤘🤩🤘🤩🤘
They have another cover of Thunderstruck titled Do you Want to be a Rock Star? It is in a heavy metal venue! Also check out Highway To Hell with Steve Vai
Hauser, the one on the left, does an EPIC solo of WICKED GAME!
( the RED DRESS versiin!)😂
Ooh I’m gonna have see that!
Love these guys!
They seem so fun!

Notice the crowd reaction.

They are an awesome duet.
Really digging them!
When you had stank face! Love it!!!!!

You should watch their live performance of Annie are you ok
Pretty sure that this is the song that was the first youtube video.
2C or two Croatians.
I cannot see the blurred post. Kind of sucks
