Great review Mike! You should be able to run the dropper internally through the hole on the headtube and through the frame all the way through the downtube and up the seatube. Keen to see the upgrades and how the bike progresses!
Unfortunately it pops out at the Front D cable exit. If you look at the 2021 model it has two holes one for the dropper, one for the FD. The 2022 only has one hole. It would be nice if it was just free in the frame with no cable guide(tube) then I could run it up the seat tube.
@@RunBikeMike Let me dig around and see if we can come up with a solution :)
@@bikesonline awesome thanks 😊
@@bikesonline Did you find a solution?
There is no solution for internal routing unfortunately. I stuck a camera up through the bottom bracket. The internal housing is glued to to carbon ports. I contacted polygon directly and after they told me it could be done. I asked how to get around the internal routing. They then said it was only made for a FD. Wireless or external or drilling into the frame was their suggestion. Lol I don’t recommend the drilling but the other options are an option.
The C3 is currently on sale for $1299-$1399; the C2 is only $999. Amazing price for a carbon framed CC MTB with a 5-year warranty, though I've seen a number of negative reports about warranty issues.
I think the C2 is only an 11 speed. I'm tempted to get a C3.
Yes you are right the C2 is 11 and the C3 and C5 are 12 speed with microspline
how heavy is the frame alone?
Nice base to build from, but that's rather disappointing that Polygon omitted internal routing for a dropper.
Big time!!! I was shocked to see that.
@@RunBikeMike Happy Thanksgiving!
@@johnnydoe66 you too 😊
Hi, I have this bike! Is it possible to install a sram gx eagle drivetrain group?
I'm watching this bike and carbon wheels but I can't quite pull the trigger. I'm racing a 10 year old FS that comes in under 30 lbs....
Debating if I should get the Polygon Syncline C3 or the Superior XP 939 Lightweight Carbon. What do u think the better bike is?
Both are very nice but I would go Superior at this point. They specialize in XC bikes.
have you checked if it's really boost standard in the rear? because online it says that it's 142mm standard
Yes it is boost. In a later video I install some hunt wheels with boost hubs.
That is a great deal to start with
This bike is going to get wild. The weight is already coming off. I am working on my next video for it.
I was expecting it to be much lighter. Aluminum bikes are pretty much same weight
Good looking bike
Swap out those mt201 levers with some deores. I've got mine on the way right now as that's what I plan on doing
Did just that on my Rift Zone. Major difference just with levers.
@@RunBikeMike Nice! Can't wait for mine to arrive and to do the swap
How is the tire clearance? Would you be able to fit a 2.6" tire?
It wouldn’t fit 2.6 I don’t think. I have 2.35 on there now and it’s got a little room.
Any advice on frame sizing? You have a Large but how tall are you?
I am 5’11” it fits me perfectly. I would say 5’9” and lower consider a medium.
@@RunBikeMike Great, thanks for that!
Bro, that drivetrain is insanely heavy, especially those cranks.
I’m sure upgrading wheels and drivetrain, and you’ll be nearer that 27#
I am thinking maybe single speed 😀
@@RunBikeMike dude, you’d be at 17#!
Not a lot of micro spline single speed conversions out there. Oh what the heck let’s do it. Here I come 17 lbs 😂
I bet they weigh the bike without tubes and pedals.
I bet you are right.
Still that is a big difference. 30 lbs. for a carbon hardtail doesn't seem to make sense.
@@MTBMOR My alloy hardtail weights 30 lbs
@@bironbrunelle5186 I have two FS bikes under 27lbs with pedals
@@MTBMOR And the ride is judged as harsh. Don't sound like a good frame at all
It blows it does not have internal droper set up
Totally. It was a big surprise to me.
Wait...that is not a full suspension. it is just a hard tail.
The syncline is a hardtail. It is their carbon xc race bike. I will be making a video series on the T7 and that is a full suspension.
@@RunBikeMike are any of the polygon bikes full suspension and also Carbon? I think they call it ACX for carbon.
@@se7ensnakes I don’t believe so. I think all the full suspension bikes by polygon are aluminum.
@@RunBikeMike thanks. I am still interested
Its too heavy for a carbon frame bike...
Infact a 2014 aluminum full sus XC bike is lighter than this...
I agree. I have found the frame is light but the components are were the weight is. I do some upgrades that transform the bikes ride and weight
@@RunBikeMike do you have the upgrades explained anywhere in detail?
I wish you a lot of success on your channel! You should research Promo`SM!!!
