(psst, hey Joe you can take your head lamp off. There's a light in the room)
I did my first out of state hunt the last week of October in southern Ohio. I have only hunted the state of Georgia. Big hill country was completely different than anything I had done before. I got up to Ohio on Friday and started scouting from the bottoms up. I noticed that I was making it to the ridge and finding a lot of fresh sign and empty beds. I changed tactics and started coming from the ridge down. I tagged out on Monday and so did a buddy I was with. Felt good never steppin foot on a property out of state and getting it done in 5 sits. I watched a lot of Dan's videos and THP videos and I owe that success to that. I would not have had a clue to what I was doing without the help of their videos.
Where can I get the Dan Infalt Hill country dvds?? I watched one a few years ago and it was awesome. Can’t seem to find any in stock online.
To the hiking trail deal I have a area that I have killed 20 deer in and have dropped 3 in the trail. I use it as an access because that is where that scent is supposed to be. I have had hikers walk under me and kill deer within 30 minutes. Meat spot btw only killed 2 mature buck there
I agree the trails to me are good. Its usually quiet to creep on as well.i was just thinking the other day it seems to me whoever made the trails knew the best way to get to a certain location
An acorn doesn't hit the ground in Manitoba without being savagely eaten. The squirrels eat most in the tree probably. I actually haven't found a acorn in 8 years on my property that was intact on the ground just split shells. And there are quite a number of oaks in there.
Few people can explain why a buck does what he does but then you have guys like Dan Infault that can break down your neck of the woods and teach you something..each year I’m learning and growing in beast like tactics to figure out mature bucks and for me it’s about the chase…thanks guys for sitting down an teaching us something new and exct
It all comes
Down to..deer go where they feel
Safe.if hunters are high they are low,if hunters are in the hardwoods they will go to the thickets.if hunters are in the thickets they will go elsewhere.hunt the hunters..figure out what the hunters are doing.and you’ll be with the deer

Now we are talking deer hunting!!
GOOD STUFF BOYZ...
Nice info... Noticing the same thing when I go to Ohio public. Hunting VT for 40+ years Ohio is definitely different
Hunting spots and hunting tactics are always kept so secret... This is awesome! #BrothersoftheOutdoors
Let's go Brandon!
Thanks for another great video, always enjoy watching and trying to pick something up I can use in the field. Hunted Ohio wed- sat last week movement seemed slow, only evening activity
I like how Joe still has his headlamp on. Always ready!
Interviews with The Hunting Beast are always good.
I want to hear what the hunters are thinking. how they read sign, wind, terrain, weather, etc
Great content!!! Thank you for your insight
Bucks are tailing does right now in southern Ohio
Great interview with the guys. Learn something every time. Never knew about the acorns lasting through the year. Our Squirrels don't let many pass in the East. Thanks for the work putting the show together.
Ain’t that the truth lol
Thanks for the hill country tips
Good deer talk
Awesome video 👏🏼
👍
Great video 👍
Good stuff as usual
Very good 👍
Shirt👌🏻
I was in Ohio for a little over a week I experienced the same things discussed in this video. Ohio has the biggest tracts of rolling public hills. I shot and missed the biggest deer of my life down there.
After seeing what Ohio has to offer it has a lot of potential forsure. Oil rigs and the trails that lead to them are everywhere deer patterns and bedding almost the opposite from here in Mn. Not the biggest fan of private land baiting or privileges but that was one tactic I used in my advantage to get on a big one. Plan to make this an annual trip forsure.
Great content guys
