I just said the same thing to a buddy. Best lessons on YT. Awesome skills, check! Awesome vid quality, check! Positive beacon of light? Check. Awesome Gretsches? Check! Minor Threat poster, check!
Yet another great video Damian ... I have now learned 12 of your lessons, (I have to keep going back and forth to keep them in my 81 year old memory banks). I guess they will eventually stick - if I can stay around long enough. You have been a 'sanity saver' for me during this ground hog day of a year. Thank you once again .... you are so generous with your knowledge.
Damian Bacci, I loved what you said at the end of your video! I couldn't agree more! Truer words have never been spoken. All your videos are great! I try to practice licks from them every day! Please keep doing what you're doing!
I'm totally loving your lessons and your good Rockin instructional program that I purchased. If you're right fan of this type of music and really want to learn your lessons are Priceless. And I greatly thank you for your time and positive attitude. I love Sunny Tampa Bay. Cheers from Sunny Las Vegas
Just found your channel the other day, loving the content and really gaining a lot from the lesson. Thanks for your positive attitude and amazing teaching style :) will be getting your DVD asap!
Very wise words at the end of the video Damian, only the music matters! I love you're Videos, bought the "Good Rockin' Guitar" Lessons and have so much fun with it, thank you for giving the world those wonderful lessons! Greetings from Munich
Hi Damian, I have been going over some of your licks again to ensure I am playing them right ... and I find I have ''mixed and matched'' some of the solos ... but, they still sound great - hope you don't mind. Thanks once more, for my money you are the best at what you do.
WOW !!! I thought that song was lost in time: Choo Choo Ch'Boogie was on the flip side of "Don't Knock The Rock" by Bill Haley & The Comets, I picked up that 45rpm record in 1957 while living on Yokota AFB, Japan. I have to learn those licks right now. If I look thru your videos will I find the 1954 Guitar Solo from Bill Haley's original guitar player "Danny Cedrone"? Just so much good stuff on your videos. Have to stop watching them a complete your Ultimate Rockabilly Guitar course before I get side tracked. Outstanding Guitar Playing !!
Hey, just curious What Model of Epiphone is that? I'm a LEFTY and I've always wanted a G. ES 335,but they're way out my budget range. And, Definitely a Gretsch, someday. Thanks!!
My Gretch is very similar to yours. The only difference I can see is that yours says Nashville, whereas mine has Chet Atkins in the same place. Not sure why. Enjoyed your lesson as usual, keeping me sane as we go into a second lock-down here in the UK. Thank you from a geriatric English rock and roller.
May I request a lesson on the guitar solo from Tampa Red's Evalena-It sounds WAY ahead of its time and I wonder who was this player? In fact, this sounds like some Rosetta Stone of rock solos! what is the last chord at 3:55 ? D 9TH?
That sounds like the definition of Rockabilly! I asked a skilled banjo player what he liked most about Bluegrass; he said, "It's got DRIVE!" I think that's what most popular music has: DRIVE.
@@johnsee7269 Yes the 'drive' in bluegrass is the circular continuity....like a rolling wheel. The opposite would be Pete Townshend's style which involves lots of abrupt stops and starts. Its a choppy angry style...not suitable for dancing or a romantic evening.
Great lesson and really appreciate you doing this for free. But, if I could just say, perhaps the backing track at the end could be a bit longer, say 3-4 times to give people longer to practice before rewinding the video?
Probably the best guitar teacher on UA-cam.
No doubt!
Right. No question!
Thank you the kind words. It really does mean a lot to me.

Cool 😎
Cool, Baby! I'm plugin' in, stretching my fingers.
Rockabilly has a bouncy rhythm that seems to propel itself forward. I wish I knew how that was technically defined.
That sounds like the definition of Rockabilly! I asked a skilled banjo player what he liked most about Bluegrass; he said, "It's got DRIVE!" I think that's what most popular music has: DRIVE.

Great lesson, can you confirm that it's in the key of A-major and not minor.... thanks
