They are a different experience playing them versus hearing them back, they felt particularly ragged and thin that day but recorded really well! They are a very interesting pickup!!
That’s so cool I have a 1959 guild t-100.what strings do you recommend.when I found it in the trash beck in the late 80’s it had a flat wound on the first string and it had some orange material wrapp on the end useing elixir strings the B string barley fits but still playable thanks
what is that amp?? Ive tried to zoom in..is that a silver tone?? I would suggest trying a thumb pick..my personal favorites are the Fred Kelley Delrin ones but it really doesn't matter.. What it enables one to do is play through a finger picking style and have a flatpick at the ready (now i find them to be a little too thick for my tastes..even the "lightest" ones, i sand them down)
Hey, Adrian! Great info in this video. Please don't take offense (offence), but here in the South (US), we pronounce "Piedmont" as PEED-mont. You know the old saying, "Two countries separated by a common language"! 😁
Definitely associated with a delta plain. In US, we really think of the East Coast-North Carolina (aka North Cackalacky-hahaha) and Virginia. Very much “country” to this very day. My take on it as a Virginian (mountain folk, though-completely different). Excellent playing and instruction. Thank you.
That was super helpful Adrian! I def now know where to start. Do you know a place where to find good Rockabilly Tabs? I mean Ultimate Guitar is nice and all but the most Rockabilly Tabs there, i think are super hard to read, because the structure is different most of the time or more than wrong.
Thanks mate! In regards to tabs, I started making my Own for this reason- my website has over 85+ tabs of rockabilly and psychobilly lessons, many are full songs or all song sections etc. It’s $15 dollars a month to access the library, but I also post them on Patreon (it’s just not organised like the website is because Patreon is a feed), have a peak - it might be worth it for you. Randy Richter has some great transcriptions too and the others have some stuff! adrianwhyteonline.com
@@SSRT_JubyDuby8742 Hello nice that you are interested. Mostly attributed to TCB Elvis Presley. Elvis designed a logo where lightning bolts through the letters. Elvis flew in his private jet from time to time and there was a storm and there was a lot of lightning and that's when the idea for the logo came to him. You see the logo everywhere on Elvis stuff. This definitely compliments your beginner rockabilly lessons. It’s great reference.
