the amount of knowledge you have is incredible. keep it up rabid. I've learned a lot from you!
how much for you to build me a rabid jz parts provided
Haha, that sounds very stressful. I dont have much time do stuff anymore
@@RabidJz i feel ya lmao
Is that oil pump for a tt gte or ge vvti? And where did you get it. And yes we want to see a full video on shimming the buckets 😁
Its a ge pump. Gte typically puts way too much pressure into engine and could cause some issues. I got i from rock auto!
Planning on dropping a 2jz in my brz it may take like 2yrs but it’s worth it
If the car is working already, do not start the swap till you have everything
@@RabidJz absolutely 👍 thanks for the advice
@@RabidJz I'm in the middle of 1jz vvti swap in my s13, did the same. took me 1 year to get 90% of the parts. Now I'm in the middle of the swap, and it's the little things that are taking up time
@@siqsteen 80/20 rule is real
I just got another GE VVTi head, gonna do shimless buckets and ball out on this one.
Best thing you can do
Clean.
curious how you did your buckets.. I ened up leaving mine as is and removing material from the back of my valves with a grinder bolted to a lathe with the valve spinning in the chuch and a dial indicator to show the distance by thou of an inch how much travel i was making for material removal 😂😅 Where there's a will there's a way. ended up with spot on clearances, and a little lapping can tighten it up a bit if a smidgen too loose
So long as you have shimless buckets, then you wont have to go through all that nightmare. You wont even have to remove the springs
