Didn't buy at the Sephora sale because the 10% savings for me wasn't inspiring. Love your reviews as always and thank you so much for the eyeshadow tutorial! I'm still learning again after many years of not wearing at all. My senior skin is a movable canvas these days especially the eye area. Love your no BS approach.
Don't know what these companies are thinking. The inflation is so bad, sales are not picking up, shouldn't it be time for bigger discounts so to lure people buying more ??? I didn't buy anything from Sephora sale, either. In fact I only purchased one little thing for a relative who doesn't have access of Sephora this whole year. Stingy sales save me big time, lol !!😆
Yeah Sephora seems to get sheistier and sheistier all the time. Whenever I do achieve VIB status, I feel like it lasts about 5 minutes and then I’m back to being a beauty insider with the crappy promotions.
So I tried the Danessa too and absolutely hated it at first. Then I watched my teen daughter use it and it looked amazing on her! I figured it must be for people who already have poreless perfect skin. But I couldn't resist trying it again. This time I made sure to be 100 percent exfoliated, used my vitamin C serum and then the Hourglass Vanish primer. I pushed the balm into the skin with my finger and then set everything with powder. Believe it or not it looked amazing! After 4 hours it was still completely shine free which for me is extremely rare. I'm planning to give it another try for all day wear test but I would say don't give up on it yet.Maybe try with primer and setting powder just to see.
Same…I also hated it at first use and was ready to return. Then I gave it one more try with the Glowish primer underneath and had a very different experience. It looked very natural and smooth and lasted all day. I tend to have watery eyes, and it did not take away from the application. Still playing with it, but giving it another chance.
I use it under my foundation and sometimes over it and I love it! Not the very first time I tried it but after I figured it out it’s nuances and how to make it work for my skin. I’m 63 and this is a new HG for me-Definitely a fan!
I bought this during the sale. Was not impressed. I will try again with your suggestions, Jo Ellen and Nancee. Hopefully, I can get this to work for me!
But if it's a good product, should it really be necessary to layer it over a primer and apply it a certain way for it to look good? That's too much trouble for me.
Thanks for all the suggestions as I had the same issues and wasn't impressed. Will try one more time before giving it to someone younger who doesn't need to look even more young and flawless.
Love love love yummy skin blurring powder❤ It is a definite must for light coverage on oily skin. Lasts all day without any setting powder. My skin is mature and extremely oily.
A very late question...but I am late on this one and have thoughts of getting the balm. Me being one not much for heavy foundations or full coverage, but still want something that evens out the skin, but still being natural, would you consider this balm being a good product for that? (Some even out and minimizing pores)
I love these videos but didn’t purchased ANYTHING for the first time this year since I only earn 10% off. I’m keeping my eyes open 👀for Black Friday sales. In this terrible economy, I’m really cutting back on the “extras” for myself right now🥰 Angie, your videos help me decide if something is worth looking for in any BF sales! Thank you 💕
I keep hearing that most makeup artists use the Blurring powder under makeup and they love it. I just bought it to test for my clients. Fingers crossed!
Honestly, I didn’t buy much in the sale. I decided to wait until Black Friday, when hopefully the manufacturers will have better sales and better Rakuten. Thanks for these reviews. A few of these things were tentatively on my list and now I have a better idea of whether I want them or not.
I'm mostly interested in the eyeshadow pallet - any dark lipsticks age me 15 yrs and I will never wear them - mauvy, rose, nudes with pinkish glosses work great for me.
I bought the DM Yummy and almost didn’t try it based on your experience. So glad I decided to give it a try. Please try it again with a different spf. I used Milani SPF BFF and it looked beautiful! I think your sunscreen is the culprit.
Angie-I picked up many of your suggestions at the Sephora sale and loved them! My daughter is an influencer and I’m always bringing your name up and telling her your suggestions. You’ve been a really huge influence on me and several of my friends, we all look way better because of you- thank you! PS- I love the DM yummy balm- I just had a totally different experience. I hope you try it again under or over your foundation.
I absolutely love it !! I have my Dior I use when I want heavier makeup day and I always use my cicapair before I use both .. I apply the balm with a brush… use it everyday and love it ..
I really enjoy the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder but I apply it with a damp sponge and works way better than my fingers. Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina
Hi Angie. I am 58 and matt foundations make me look like I am 88. When I where a foundation like the Estee Lauder Furturist Hydra Rescue foundation the bit of luminosity makes my skin look younger and healthier. Matt foundations just make my skin look dry, and crusty. I do do put a little bit of setting powder but I really enjoy a little bit of a glow. I watch several other influencers that are our age and they all say with the exception of you that a foundation with a little bit of glow makes us look younger, and healthier. I guess it is also personal preference that comes into factor as well. One thing I can say is I am not into balm foundations they just feel like I am putting Vaseline on my face. The eye look you created with this little palette looks great. I wear more purples and soft pinks because I have green eyes. Once again, thank you for this video.
The dreaded Polk- a -dot pores! Every foundation I try does that. Finally picked up Jane Iredale powder foundation. Used it in the past and loved it. Got a perfect shade match. Loving it!
I usually don’t comment too much on beauty videos, but just had to let you know I had the total opposite results using Danessa Myricks! I freakin love it! My first one was the neutral one, hit pan, then bought one with color and bought another neutral one in the Sephora sale!😂 I know everything isn’t for everybody, but so far so good with using this product! Using it, I tend to look better as the day wears on - not oily, pores look good-almost fresh-faced! I only commented because you asked us to comment if we had a different experience. Thanks for all the work you put into your videos for us!
I adore the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Balm. I'm 43 with oily skin and no dry patches. It controls my oils like no product I've ever used before! If they raised the price by 10 times I would still buy it! It's such a polarizing product though. You either love it or hate it!
It's helpful having your input given you've got a somewhat different skin type to Angie. Women with similar skin types now know this product may work for them. Thanks.
Enjoyed the post. Almost got the Tower mascara, glad I didn't. I may be in love w/ that Danessa Myriks. I put it on very differently. Smear a little on my cheek from the spoon and buff out w/ the BK 107. At first spreading but then more of a tapping in. Spreads out those dots on the nose. IDK more testing but came home from Pilates and my makeup looked exactly the same. Skin felt great after washing. I did like better with powdering and it worked well w/ a light foundation. Seems really thin layers work best? Not the ultimate pore blurring but over all so nice and much improved.
Thank you for the reviews. I am surprised you liked the concealer because I tried it and found the shimmer particles in it very unflattering on me. Thank you for all you do!
I love that you show us what the base product really looks like. I fine that lots of foundations look not great on my skin and I appreciate that you warn us off the ones that do that. I bought that eye palette from your link so I am so excited to see your look!
So about the foundation, I suppose the little spatula is useful to scoop out the amount you need, rather than dip fingers into the product? It sounds more hygienic. As for the wonder stick, it's a contouring shade so it's normal that you don't feel bronzed with it (I have it too so I learnt the hard way!)
Evening Angie look the little palette I was looking at this one you have made my mind up on it loving the blush Not to keen on foundation thank you for sharing see you soon 🌺🌸
I had the same initial experience with the DM balm but I absolutely love it over the Bobbi Brown primer. I wore it for several recent events and my skin looked flawless. Plus after a spritz of Charlotte Tilbury spray it looked exactly the same when I went to wash it off at the end of the night! I think the DM balm has a little learning curve but I found it to be worth it. I have both the translucent and #3 and think both are great. The translucent is much easier to use and still is impressive.
First time ever I thought the thumbnail was a Don’t. I always love your make up and the subtlety that you use is so flattering usually. I really enjoy your videos thank you for your great research and efforts.
I love how real you are, so refreshing and funny. I have aging skin and similar problem areas. You videos are super helpful and fun! I'm loving the eye shadow! thank you!😀
I just bought the palette -- can't beat it for $8! I am on the verge of tossing some old palettes that I either don't love, don't use, or have gone through the best colors, so the timing was great. Thank you for another great video with your honest, no BS opinions!
Angie, I have skin similar to yours. My pores are larger and I have a tad more texture. I love Danessa's Yummy Skin. I exfoliate before using it, let my moisturizer soak in, then apply it with a sponge. I set it with either MAC mineralize skin finish, Sephora's powder (same as MACs MSF) or Bye Bye Pores. It's the first time in my life I've not had to use a primer (I'm a dedicated Two Faced Primed and Poreless girl as it's always done a terrific job actually filling my pores.). Now I don't use sunscreen under my foundation like you do, but I have to say, I like just about everything you like - give Yummy another chance. See if it works for you with a sponge.
Love that you did a look with the pallet….I’ve ordered it….need something for my vacation…..yay that it has some staying power….I use a primer anyhow, but it looked great even hours later.
Totally agree about the Tower 28 mascara. I was excited to try it but disappointed by the flaking. Purchased the Sephora eye palette on your recommendation and love it!
Thank you for another informative video! Many of your recommendations have been home runs for me, especially your skincare and foundation recommendations. I’m currently using the Lancôme concealer with a corrector. I’m using the Colorscience 3 in 1. I find that works better on a no makeup day. I wondered if you might consider doing a roundup of the best correctors for under the eyes.
Great try on, Angie! I needed That eyeshadow tutorial!! Also I’ve trying the foundation twice.. I did not like it either! And now I need that Dior blush!!
Hi Angie, love your videos! I was hoping you could do a video on "clean" make up and skincare. I have very sensitive eyes and can not use any products with talcum. I have been using the Lawless line fir the past few weeks but would like to see your reviews on other lines. I am a 61 years young woman that is still in the workforce so I need color and coverage on my beautiful face 😍 thank you .
I also love the Dior Backstage concealer. I do like the Tower 28 mascara and it doesn't flake on me, even working out or walking the dogs in early Canadian winter. Thank you, as always, for your thorough and honest reviews!
That is a fantastic lippy! Have you ever tried Sunnies Face lip balm or lipstick? I just got my order & they are absolutely beautiful and very hydrating. I think you’d love them too
So glad you did a get ready with me with the make up palette. I bought the make up palette. I worked on it yesterday but I like your look a lot better. Thank you for sharing
Hi Angie! I'm dying to know if you've tried Estee Lauder Double Wear SHEER foundation? I couldn't find a video about it on your page yet. I'm 54 and have never owned or wore foundation until this one! So interested to know if you like it too. WOW!!
I love that you have a more critical eye and aren't just an echo chamber for these companies and other influencers! I took that mascara off my wishlist so fast! It was on the bubble anyway, because I love the Rare Beauty mascara so well.
Hi Angie, I love watching all your vids and appreciate all the time and hard work you put into each and every one. Is it possible to get a quick tutorial with that Sephora palette? I mean getting a look using minimum colors that don’t take a lot of time . With work and kids don’t have a lot of time and would love to have a look like yours. Thank you!
Angie, wondering what you wear under foundation when you’re going out at night and don’t need sunscreen? The eye makeup tutorial was much appreciated! The price on it was too good to pass up. I also bought the Caliray mascara and love it. I used the sale to try the Natasha Denona My Dream lipstick. The formula is amazing, creamy, moisturizing with a nice shine and the color is perfect. I ordered the lip pencil but haven’t received it yet. Give it a try Angie, I think you’ll like it. Always look forward to your videos 👍
The Danessa Myricks balm is great for me in the hot summer. Not fantastic at first application BUT I look great at the end of the day. I look glowy, not shiny. But skin looks perfect. I would use this on a beach day. Not for dry, cold days for me.
Love your content. New to your channel. Love the close ups on this particular video. I know i am always checking the make up I've applied with close ups and I appreciate your showing us the after effects of applying the make up. Keep the videos coming and I'll keep on watching!
Thanks for all your tutorials! I'd love to see a desert island video - if you had to narrow your makeup products to 10 tried-and-true essentials that you'd have to use for the rest of your life.
Hi Angie, I went crazy in the Sephora sale thanks to your picks. I already use Oribe the moisture formula. You started me on the brand. Also got the Omnilux neck and chest although not from that sale. You started me on the Microcurrent face unit. Thank you as always for your honest outstanding reviews.
Love the video ! I might get something on Black Friday from the manufacturers. The Dior blush has been on my list for a year. I’m so glad you tested it
Hey Angie, love your videos! I’m on the hunt for some more natural or “clean” (free from talc, aluminum, parabens etc). A lot of the natural makeup I’ve tried hasn’t worked very well. Would love it if you did a video on some natural brands of makeup that work well for skin 40+
I bought the Danessa Myricks in Universal, a balm-to-powder. It's great for blending out mistakes, especially those involving too much color. My skin also is going through an "I hate powder" stage, and this helps set the areas that absolutely need something.
The translucent shade in Danessa Myricks product works much better in my opinion. Using it with a light BB cream or tinted sunscreen seems to work best for me. Right now you can get a deluxe size sample with a $35 purchase at Sephora.
This tutorial was very helpful seeing the unfortunate results on the face “balm”. Really learning what a striking difference make up has on mature skin…especially comparing this to what your skin looks like with Dior. Thank you.
Hello Angie, I've been very happy with the ByTerry light expert click brush one and done foundation. The color selection can be tricky, mine is golden sand. It is for sale on Norsdtrom online and Blue Mercury.
Hi Angie! I almost picked up the DM balm, but I'm glad I didn't now. I cannot stand polka dot pores and it just ruins the day. That is a nice eyeshadow palette/look. Can't beat the price! I still have to test all my newbies. I bought that concealer and I'm glad you were happy with it. Thanks for the reviews 😃
I love that Dior blush. I saw someone use it on UA-cam and wasn’t sure because it does look scary pink! But it’s my favourite flush of colour. Also the lipstick suits you and goes with the blush
I’ve been using the Sephora Wishing You 16 pan palette and it so good. Beautiful colour story. I also recently ordered the Wishing You 8 pan palette after watching your last video. Excited to try that one! 💕
Trying to use up what I have so I really have to be blown away by something to spend the money. Your skin is so beautiful you really don't need much to look flawless.
I agree 10% barely covers the tax😂😂
Don't know what these companies are thinking. The inflation is so bad, sales are not picking up, shouldn't it be time for bigger discounts so to lure people buying more ??? I didn't buy anything from Sephora sale, either. In fact I only purchased one little thing for a relative who doesn't have access of Sephora this whole year. Stingy sales save me big time, lol !!😆
Yup don’t wanna wanna waste my time and money even on my 15% discount
Yeah Sephora seems to get sheistier and sheistier all the time. Whenever I do achieve VIB status, I feel like it lasts about 5 minutes and then I’m back to being a beauty insider with the crappy promotions.

That blush is a winner. Such a fresh, “in from the cold” look.
Who woulda thought such a bright pink would look so lovely?
Thanks for doing a tutorial on the eyeshadow pallet! That blush looks amazing as well!
I bought the DM Yummy and almost didn’t try it based on your experience. So glad I decided to give it a try. Please try it again with a different spf. I used Milani SPF BFF and it looked beautiful! I think your sunscreen is the culprit.

I love JI powders. Been using the Pressed for nearly 20 yrs. Just tried the Amazing loose and still deciding on it.
BareMinerals powder has been my go-to for 20+ years. Pores, and moody rosacea, are pretty well tamed.
What type of skin do you have?
@@sarahturps1384 It's combination, but as I've gotten older (just hit 54), it's tending more towards dry
You look beautiful despite not loving everything. I really want to get that Dior blush!
But my favorite is the lip products on you. I’m really impressed with the longevity and the shade lights up your skin!
Thanks.
@@reneemeyer9107 I'm thinking maybe this doesn't work well on dry skin even though it has an oily texture?
The Dior concealer and blush look beautiful on you and held up amazing after a full day! The Sephora eyeshadow palette was also surprisingly nice.
I love that you show us what the base product really looks like. I fine that lots of foundations look not great on my skin and I appreciate that you warn us off the ones that do that. I bought that eye palette from your link so I am so excited to see your look!
I think that lipcolor looks beautiful on you
So about the foundation, I suppose the little spatula is useful to scoop out the amount you need, rather than dip fingers into the product? It sounds more hygienic. As for the wonder stick, it's a contouring shade so it's normal that you don't feel bronzed with it (I have it too so I learnt the hard way!)
Evening Angie look the little palette I was looking at this one you have made my mind up on it loving the blush
Not to keen on foundation thank you for sharing see you soon 🌺🌸
I had the same initial experience with the DM balm but I absolutely love it over the Bobbi Brown primer. I wore it for several recent events and my skin looked flawless. Plus after a spritz of Charlotte Tilbury spray it looked exactly the same when I went to wash it off at the end of the night! I think the DM balm has a little learning curve but I found it to be worth it. I have both the translucent and #3 and think both are great. I really like the bright lip on you. Lovely!
First time ever I thought the thumbnail was a Don’t. I always love your make up and the subtlety that you use is so flattering usually. I really enjoy your videos thank you for your great research and efforts.
I have been back and forth over that blush. I don't need it, but it always looks so pretty when I see videos and photos of people that have used it.
I love how real you are, so refreshing and funny.
I have aging skin and similar problem areas. You videos are super helpful and fun!
I'm loving the eye shadow! thank you!😀

Love that you did a look with the pallet….I’ve ordered it….need something for my vacation…..yay that it has some staying power….I use a primer anyhow, but it looked great even hours later.
I bought the Dior blush at the sale and I’m loving it. Gives such a pretty pink glow on the cheeks! 💗
Thank you so so much for adding your nail color to the description!!! Another classic gorgeous one. Happy Holidays to you and yours! 💝
I actually love the Yummy skin but I used it as a primer and not by itself, thanks so much for your review and the make-up tutorial 😊
I trust you tubers so much more when they zoom in and let me see their pores. Thanks Angie. :)
Me too!!
Love that shade of blush on you. Beautiful!
I love the eye shadow look you did. The blush and lip color looks great on you too. Thanks for the reviews. :)
Beautiful eye palette…. Back to Sephora for me. Thanks Angie always a treat to watch and listen to your videos
I bought the eye shadow! Can't wait for it to come in!!! Your eyes are beautiful!!!

The Pixi corrector is a good one. I've been using it for years. I first learned about it (many years ago) from Emily Noel.
Been loving the Bobby brown one in stick form lately! Layers very well, Stephanie Marie recommends it and I like having it in my collection.

Hi Angie! I got the eye shadow palette on your recommendation-can’t wait to try it!
I love the blush on you and the bold lip looks so charming! :)
😅so glad you did this tutorial!
I wanted to try the foundation but, most shades were out so, I could not. Now I will move on! Thanks!
I'm using the Yummy Skin as a primer (Universal shade) and I love it !
Love the lip color.
Thank you!
As usual, your makeup is lovely, especially the Dior products! I'm with you regarding the foundation, but you still smash it!
I LOVE how those lip products look.
Thanks for keeping it real. You have helped me have high expectations for make up on MY less than perfect skin:)
This makeup look is sooo youthful and fresh! I’m definitely getting the Hoda brow product!
The Danessa Myricks balm is great for me in the hot summer. Not fantastic at first application BUT I look great at the end of the day. I look glowy, not shiny. But skin looks perfect. I would use this on a beach day.
Not for dry, cold days for me.
Love watching you do makeup and your honesty.....
Love your content. New to your channel. Love the close ups on this particular video. I know i am always checking the make up I've applied with close ups and I appreciate your showing us the after effects of applying the make up. Keep the videos coming and I'll keep on watching!
Thanks Angie, for sharing your review on the products. I have your brushes, love the concealer brush. Take care.
The blush looks beautiful on you think that’s the best product
I also tried the Danessa Myricks and it did the same thing to me. Returned! Love the Dior blush, I was surprised how easy it is to use?
Added things to my Christmas 🎄 list. Such a nice look.
Thank you, I love these kind of videos! I think you’re naturally beautiful!🥰
Thank you so much!!
I love that Dior blush!
The translucent shade in Danessa Myricks product works much better in my opinion. Using it with a light BB cream or tinted sunscreen seems to work best for me.
Right now you can get a deluxe size sample with a $35 purchase at Sephora.
Would love your review and thoughts on Jones Road Beauty’s What The Foundation. 😊
Coming soon!
This tutorial was very helpful seeing the unfortunate results on the face “balm”. Really learning what a striking difference make up has on mature skin…especially comparing this to what your skin looks like with Dior. Thank you.
Hello Angie,
I've been very happy with the ByTerry light expert click brush one and done foundation. The color selection can be tricky, mine is golden sand. It is for sale on Norsdtrom online and Blue Mercury.
Sorry, couldn't upload photo.
Finally got the Angie BK Beauty brush set using your code! ❤️❤️ Can’t wait!!
Yay! Thank you!
Love the blush! Scary at first but it looks beautiful on your cheeks Angie! 🥰🥰🥰
Great video. Saved me time and money. Love your thorough reviews, Angie!
I love the lip color on you! Would be nice for the holiday!! ❤
Hi Angie, great video! Could you review Lisa Eldridge's new eyeshadow palettes? They look awesome and she always comes up with new ways to formulate x
Love the eyelid shadows!!!
The Danessa Myricks yummy skin blurring balm makeup, reminds me of Joan Roads miracle palm make up. You should try it out.
Trying to use up what I have so I really have to be blown away by something to spend the money. Your skin is so beautiful you really don't need much to look flawless.
