Good morning! I wanted to give you the report on how the Tartelette Tubing Mascara came off... it was fairly easy to remove but did break up into tiny bits that were still stuck to my face and in my eyes the next morning, so between the Tarte and CaliRay I much prefer the CaliRay but the Tarte isn't bad. Also, I wore the Halo Tinted Moisturizer again yesterday over my Undefined R&R Sunscreen instead of the Alastin and I liked it even better! The shade was better on me & didn't oxidize, it didn't settle into wrinkles all day and was pretty long-wearing and more natural looking than it was over the Alastin sunscreen. Have a great day & I'll see you Friday! xo ~a.
Have you tried Thrive Mascara, and if so, I'd love to know your thoughts on it? Also, I commented below about being interested in seeing tips and tricks for long-wearing nose foundation, so if you get some time, please have a look and see if it's something you're interested in. Thank you for today's video, it was very very helpful and informative, as always! 🙏🥰🕉
@@BiscottiandDrJones I have been using Thrive mascara for years and love it! It is the only mascara I’ve ever used that doesn’t smudge, even after 10+ hours in Florida humidity. No problems with thorough removal either. Highly recommend 😊
thanks for this update, for me it was right out the gate looking at you at the beginning, the colour is wrong for you it was a tad olive looking on your skin, so was good to read your follow up regarding the tinted sunscreen etc, Cheers!
Thank you for trying the Alastin! I had a feeling the color was dark. I’m lighter than you so if it’s orange on you, at that price tag, with the lower spf, I think I’ll pass on trying it.
@@bethnovello8180 I live in Florida, too, in the southwest portion that was just hit with Hurricane Ian. I have also been using Thrive for years as well, but I just wanted her to compare Thrive with the other tube mascara she likes to see if they're any different. Thrive is perfect for this God awful heat and humidity we have down here as makeup literally drips right off my face but never my mascara!!!
I just discovered you yesterday, and I must say I've been binge watching your videos for hours! I'm 72 and still "do" my makeup every day. I learned so many new things. My shopping list is growing.😉 I've subscribed and look forward to seeing you again soon.
Yes! I discovered Ms. Angie a few months ago. Isn’t she just devine? She’s gorgeous but real. She’s funny and honest without being rudely blunt. Classy and sophisticated but not conceited. I’m 53 and I can only HOPE to look as amazing as she does when I’m her age! Hell, I’d love to look as amazing as she does at my current age!😂 My personal philosophy has always been that I’m not trying to look younger! I’m just trying to look the best me possible at my current age. We “mature” ladies don’t NEED to look younger. We’ve had the “youth = beauty” fallacy crammed down our throats for decades! WE need to change that. There IS beauty in aging. 🥰
Welcome to the best true and tried beauty products on the internet. I live in Europe so I can’t get everything but the items I do have that Angie suggested over the years are still my absolute favorites. Best wishes! Amy
I really trust Angie’s recommendations. She’s not steered me wrong and all the work and research she puts in saves me from having to do it lol. Thank you Angie ❤
Omgosh yes! Your concealer brush is the best tool I've EVER used to blend my concealer. It's my most used brush . Everyone needs that brush! Thank you Angie ❤️ I also have your blush brush and that is my second favorite.
I agree, it replaced my Sephora which is a hot mess. I ended with the bristles all over my face. We need those ink vinyl lipsticks in a a lighter color!!!!!!
Isabella Stewart is my phone wallpaper too! 😊😊 My daughter and I travel to Boston at least once a year to go to Boston Childrens and we’ve fallen in love with Isabella. We will spend hours there and being there at dusk is our favorite time. We will be back in January and will get new photos for my phone screen!❤
Dear Angie, I had to write - that lipstick looks lovely on you! Thank you so much for your efforts. I am currently waiting for your brushes to arrive. Really looking forwards to them. I'm a Brit living in Germany and BK Beauty's customer care bent over backwards to help me. Thanks again, and best wishes to anyone who reads this. Anne
Hi, Angie! I'm a few months younger than you (I turn 60 in January), and I love the BK Beauty concealer brush you developed. I have your full brush set. Even with the settling, I still think you looked great!! Love that lippie and the Natasha Denona palette. I own the Glam palette and the Retro palette. Love them both!
Thrive Causmetic Tubing Mascara is my favorite. When I shower, I simply put my face in the water and very, very gently rub down on my eyes. All the bits go down the drain and never stick to my face. Note: I always follow with a double cleanse of Neutragena Unscented Light Sesame Oil and Eucerin Baby Wash and Shampoo. 🌸🐝 Angie, you look beautiful even when your products DON’T perform well. 😊
I have a tip for the lip! Well actually 2. Refy makes a lip liner that comes with a cream to go over it to lay all day too and they do play well together if you don't put the lipstick over the cream part of the liner. And also if you like a glossier feel the color stay topcoat good well over the lip vinyls too! Maybelline makes one too I think.
I love my new to me lol Smashbox Halo I just bought it and it wore beautifully all day until I took it off I need to powder my nose and chin but it did not settle into lines or make me dry LOVE IT!!!! 🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤 love the pigment is incredible on Natasha palette!!!
Good morning, Angie. I agree. Your concealer brush is the absolute best. I was going to try the Alastin sunscreen, but thought it was pricey, and not enough SPF. I love the Mini Glam palette. The Smashbox Halo Tinted Moisturizer looks gorgeous on you. Dr Dray said that the Alastin was greasy, and she wasn't a fan. Everyone's skin is different. Thanks, Angie. Enjoy your day! ❤❤
IKR? Lisa loves that Alastin but I doubt I'll use it ... will have to send it to her! I wore the Halo again yesterday with the R&R sunscreen and it looked great!
@@AngieHotandFlashy you're right. It's Lisa's favorite. Everyone's skin is different. I've tried many sunscreens, but the one that truly works for me, is the tinted sunscreen by Elta MD. Although I wish they made it in different shades. I'd love a lighter color, but it still works!
Angie, I just started watching your videos the past 6 months or so and I have learned so much and really enjoy watching you! I wanted to tell you about a sunscreen my dermatologist recommended to me. You may have already tried it but since I’m rather new I’m not sure. It is the LaRoche Posay tinted mineral sunscreen SPF 50. It glides on like silk and I really love it. Also, for areas other than my face I use Clear Choice SPF 45. It is great for sports because it is stays on for 2 hours in the water, sweating or perspiring. Love all your videos!
Thank you so much for your videos. You also brought up a really good point that I would personally love to see a special video on, which is how to get foundation to stay on my nose long-term. I have tried so many things, and while I know that touching our noses is something we can do without really thinking about it, I do notice that mine comes off way before that or even sometimes doesn't even go on well in the beginning at all. So if this is something other people might be interested in as well, and you have some tips and tricks for longwearing foundation on the nose, I would be so grateful. Thank you and thank you for all of your amazingly informative videos, without all the crazy unnecessary hype. It really is a breath of fresh air. 🙏🥰🕉
I love your reviews, especially the close ups, check-ins during the day, and explaining why you like or don't like certain products. Every concealer I use creases on me like this one did on you in this video and I try to use as less as possible for that reason but haven't found one that works on my under-eye area yet. What's your favourite one that doesn't crease please?
Creasing under and around my eyes is by far my biggest problem with wearing make-up. I feel like I've tried all the tips and tricks, and products. I've kind of given up on using make-up under my eyes all together. I just live with the dark shadows.
I actually HAVE to wear a tubing mascara in waterproof formula. It’s the only thing that won’t transfer or flake on me. I used to love L’Oréal’s Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara. It’s a double ended with primer on one end and mascara in the other. It’s pretty good but can flake just a little. My favorite is Maybelline’s Lash Sensational Sky High mascara. It’s a perfect tubing mascara that does not flake at all. I also use the waterproof formula of it. Both are easy to remove. I simply soak a soft cotton disk with Micellar water, hold it on my lashes for about 10 seconds and it wipes right off.
I have to say, one of the most basic things you do that others don’t, is the close ups! Thank you so much for those!! I’ve gotten samples of the Dior Forever foundation from Sephora based on your review and I can’t wait to try it! Absolutely beautiful lady! Thank you!
I have bought high end brushes for many years and I have to just say that your set with BK beauty is my favorite set out of all!! And priced so reasonable! The eyeshadow brushes are so great for my super sensitive extremely dry skin! Zero irritation.
I think that shadow and lip combo looks amazing with that top. This look was really flattering, I need incorporate tomato red into my wardrobe, I used to love wearing it but for some reason I got really boring in my color choices in the past 10 years or so! It's so easy to get into a rut.
Can't wear red or any other "warm toned" color, though I confess an abiding love for orange, which is also warm... I am super fair with a cool undertone. Eggplant is a good color on me.
Hi Angie. Will you be reviewing the Patrick Ta foundation? I would love to see how it wears on more "mature" skin and your opinion of it. I am tempted to order it but I value your opinion and was hoping it would be in your line-up for Foundation Friday.
I have to be honest, I think for being on your face for 10 hours your makeup looks really good. I don’t think mine has ever looked like that at 10 hours. BTW, I love your check ins after you have been out with friends. 😅
Yes- ive NEVER NOT had to reapply before going to dinner! I have lower expectations. When I find some thing that makes me look semi good, I’ll keep it and just keep reapplying, lol. I don’t have the money to try different things so I am happy that she does it for us, lucky duck.😅
You WON’t be sorry with Natasha Denona shadows. They have the pigment and easy blending you’d expect from a luxury brand. I have the Glam and Retro palettes. I’d like to get the My Dream palette. It has some cool colors including a multi-chrome and a black. The Glam is a go-to.
For those of us with sensitive skin, please note that the Smashbox Halo Tinted Moisturizer in Light Neutral contains gold, which can be a skin sensitizer. It's in the middle of the ingredients list, so there's probably just a trace. But it's there. I don't have a history of reacting to gold, so I'd probably take a chance on this. But I'd buy it somewhere where I could return the opened product, just in case. YMMV.
I bought the Halo in the same shade and I love it. I have dry skin and took your suggestion and started using the Pacifica ceremide in the morning and the combination of both made my skin look dewy and beautiful. Thanks for the videos. I finally found my winter makeup 😊
Looks great Angie! I have to agree the tinted moisturizer was too luminous for you. But I think you sold me on the lippy. I enjoy lipstick but hate the short wear & constant reapplying. So that's a Def purchase.
Thank you so much Angie, this was terrific. I ended up picking up the NYX Wonder Stick, as I've never tried that and I loved how subtle it looked on you. I can't stand it when You Tubers put on a foundation that totally changes the color of their face and then they are swirling on contour that looks like dark chocolate. Ugh. Being very fair with a cool undertone, I went with the first color, fair, in the NYX stick. I toggled between 1 and 2 really trying to discern which leaned warm vs. cool. I prefer cool. Almost bought both, but then I just said, shade 1 is calling to me. Most bronzer/contours just literally make my face look super dirty and muddy.
Essence Bye Bye Panda Eyes tubing mascara does not break up for me at the time of removal. I had been using Boots No.7 for years, but have switched. In addition, it is so inexpensive! I switched to tubing because there is no smearing during warm weather as with other mascaras.
Thank you for doing this review on Alastin. I was on the fence about getting it, especially with the price tag. I'm going to try the R & R, instead, at virtually half the price. Thanks again!
I have been on an E.L.F. products exploration lately and have found those bite-sized palettes to be surprisingly high quality, with a good little color story and a bargain price!
I think the oxidation you had early on was from the Alastin tinted sunscreen. I've used it and it is indeed dark, orange and oxidizes. Giving the tinted moisturizer a try without the Alastin sunscreen might be worth a try.
Hi Angie! I hope you, the pups and the family are well. I adore your concealer brush. It truly is tbe best thing since sliced bread! Stay safe and well.
Hi Angie, I do love your concealer brush...the only thing I had a problem with was the stick was so long, and I being nearsighted, I had trouble getting up close to the mirror. So I cut it down to the right size for me and now it's perfect!
Thank you Angie.....that eyeshadow is beautiful on you!!!! I've been wearing the Maybelline lippies since late spring ...love them amd the lifter gloss!!! Might have to try the halo and the eyeshadow pallette, just beautiful!!
I hate doing my brows lol. I see all these other ladies taking 20 minutes (probably not that long but it feels that way) I take maybe 2 minutes. I did manage to walk out the door the other day without doing my brows and something kept looking off to me before I realized why. So I get it, I do. I just can't manage to make my brows do anything different no matter what I try so.... Love that Lippie. You always look amazing!
Get the Fran Wilson brow stencils-can use powder or gel to fill in the color.. they make it super easy to get the correct shape and color in 1 minute...
Wow that eyeliner must be great. It is still perfect lines on the back of your hand after 10 hrs. That is what I need. A good long wearing eyeliner!!!!
Angie, you looked absolutely gorgeous with the makeup you used! I have forgotten your favorite concealer. Will go back to some older videos to find out.
Angie, I remember that you liked DermaBlend concealer but apparently the powder is not as good. I have bought your brush set and have been using them nonstop. The Isentree sun screen is my favorite now. Also, I have been using ISDIN non tinted sunscreen. It does not have any fregrance and it is highly recommended by my dermetologist. Love Natasha Denona mini pallette. I have using it constantly since last year and love it. The best mascara for me is still Lancome. Finally, love the NYX powder much better than the IT cosmetics powder. I love all your recommendations. Thank you.
I think everything looked great. The colors are beautiful on you. I have tried the Lip Vinyl and the Color Stay. Both drying and made my lips feel horrible. Came off on my coffee and water glasses. I will stay with my Senegence Lipsense. I haven't tried any of the tubing mascaras. Maybe that Caliray is in the future. You look beautiful!
The Natasha Denona eye palette looked gorgeous on you! Thank you for a full face of new makeup - it had been too long of a wait, but worth it! Cheers from central FL!
LOL, I’ve bought 3 colors of the vinyl ink. I have a red one I’m waiting to use for the holidays. Loved the way you used your ND mini eye pallet. I have a different one but the way you used it has inspired me to try it again. We also need your take on “Full Face of Nothing New”. Great video and see you Friday!
Angie thanks so much for the NuFace discount! I was able to replace my old mini that had died on me with the full size device. I am so excited. Have you changed anything with your NuFace routine? Would love to know. Also, what a difference the Omnilux lights have made on my skin. Even my derm asked what I have been using to make such a positive difference in my skin.
Oh wow! That's awesome!! I haven't really changed my NuFace routine except that I usually don't have time to do the ELE attachment so I just use the big balls to do my eyelids!
I would have liked to see swatches on the Persona blushes. I think Bubble is a good dupe for a popular Dior that's a useful color correcter (but maybe only powder?).
Looking back at your 50 year old eyes, how did you fix your hooded eyes? Maybe a video on it? About to turn 50 and hooded eyes is becoming an issue not just esthetically but also applying eyes makeup😢
just noticed you still have makeup swatches on the back of your hand after the 10 hour check in lol.. thanks for the review of the new makeup. love the ND shadow on you
Nikol Johnson has a fantastic eye/lip primer. You might want to give it a try. I have very dark eyelids and sometimes on no markup days I still put a bit in my lids to avoid scarring people.
Great video!!! I love you when you give us a tutorial.....you look beautiful! If you haven't tried the new Tower 28 mascara , you must!!!! Its soooo nice...it lifts your lashes, doesn't flake and look so natural....no spider eyes!!!
Love. love these colors on you, Angie. I will try the lippy. I love it when they are highly pigmented and last - winner! Thank-you, Angie!😘 Must ask; did you really wear the eyeliner lines on your hand all day?
Angie, I just love your concealer brush! I feel like it really works like nothing else! How about making this in a tinier size and we have an entire set of Angie’s concealer brushes in different sizes? 💕🥰 I’ve been using the nyx wonderstick for years and was worried it was discontinued because I couldn’t find it for ages! Looks like its back!🌟💫
Thank you Angie for all you do for us. My name is Tatyana I am 68 years old and discovered your videos recently and learned a lot. I would like to buy an Omnilux LED mask and maybe you have a discount code? I will buy it anyway... but discount would be helpful..
Good vid Angie, thanks! One comment only, which is that with age comes looser skin - specifically eyelids - and I find loosely attached skin doesn't benefit from 'shimmer' applications on the eyelid. It really just draws attention to the negative, imo. What do you suggest? is there a brand you feel doesn't move or crease into eyelid wrinkles?
I ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ the consealer paw 🐾 brush!!! I really love that you show up close. Very important for us older gals (60 now!) Your complexion looks flawless Angie!!!! What is you recommendation for pore coverage powder? Do you still use that pore primer you really liked a while ago?
Hi Angie. I tried the Maybelline Super Stay Lipcolor and found the smell very off putting and it had a taste that I did not care for either. What magnification is the mirror you are using? Thanks
I'm not sure I'm qualified to give advice, but I'm going to anyway. Start with the basics: a foundation or tinted moisturizer, concealer, blush, an eyebrow product - a pencil or gel in a tube may be easiest, 1 shade of eye shadow - I'd go with a neutral brown, mascara, and eyeliner - a pencil might be easiest, and lipstick - a bullet (tube) might be easiest. Don't worry about applying contour, bronzer, or highlighter or a complicated eye design with multiple shadows. Add those to your routine as you gain confidence. Also, keep in mind that a lot of the looks and techniques you see online may not look all that great in natural lighting in the real world!
Hello lovely Angie! I'm curious about the Hourgalss primer you used on your eyelids. I have been trying to find an eyeshadow primer that's good for aging skin prone to irritation. Ever since I developed hypothyroidism, I've had terribly dry, irritated, peeling eyelids (which were extremely oily and basically flame retardant up until a year ago when my T4-->T3 conversion went awry). My tried and true Urban Decay eyeshadow primer makes them burn immediately upon application now, and the inflammation persists for days. Would you say the hourglass primer is gentle and non-irritating? Thanks for any guidance with this.
Do we need to wait 20 minutes to let sunscreen set? I don’t have that kind of time in the morning. I put on my foundation immediately after sunscreen. Does that make the sunscreen less effective?

I have to be honest, I think for being on your face for 10 hours your makeup looks really good. I don’t think mine has ever looked like that at 10 hours. BTW, I love your check ins after you have been out with friends. 😅
Oh thank you!
I agree. She looks great even after 10 hours!
Yes- ive NEVER NOT had to reapply before going to dinner! I have lower expectations. When I find some thing that makes me look semi good, I’ll keep it and just keep reapplying, lol. I don’t have the money to try different things so I am happy that she does it for us, lucky duck.😅
I did notice that in previous vid --just a teenie bit glassy eyed. I love her more, we have that in common 🤷♀️🍷
@@susanmiller2774 same. Life is meant to be lived. Angie, I hope you had a great time!
YMMV.
Hi Angie- Have you tried the Trish McEvoy tubing mascaras? They are top notch - never ever flake or smudge and come off very easily.
Hello Angie!! What is the setting powder you usually use under your eyes??
Thank you for doing this review on Alastin. I was on the fence about getting it, especially with the price tag. I'm going to try the R & R, instead, at virtually half the price. Thanks again!
I have bought 3 of the Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Inks and I LOVE them!!!
How does the Halo Tinted Moisturizer work with the EltaMD sunscreen. That one is my all time favorite!
Elf has a bite sized shadow palette that’s almost identical to that Natasha denona. It’s one of my all time favs
I have been on an E.L.F. products exploration lately and have found those bite-sized palettes to be surprisingly high quality, with a good little color story and a bargain price!
Really? i will look into them
Name please?

Thank you for trying new products, I love the nose trick it looked perfect. ❤
That lippie looks AMAZING on you! Great color-Really brings out your eyes. What a great price point too!
I think the oxidation you had early on was from the Alastin tinted sunscreen. I've used it and it is indeed dark, orange and oxidizes. Giving the tinted moisturizer a try without the Alastin sunscreen might be worth a try.
Such a lovely woman who always has the very best advice and recommendations. I love your brushes the most ❤
Oh thank you!
That sweater color is beautiful on you.
I love the Tarte tubing mascara! It makes my bottom lashes really stand out! The Sugar Rush Lash Smoothie mascara by Tarte is also a favorite of mine!
Beautiful makeup because your skin is beautiful. Follow your skin routines and love it
I just ordered this concealer brush and I'm excited to use it. I'm 63 and struggle with making sure under eye concealer doesn't look dry or cakey.
Can u please suggest a good concealer especially it shouldn’t crease
Wait a minute! Great idea. How did you do it? A saw? I would love to make a travel size.
@@Mimi-fe2gm would like to know as well.
Long handles are a problem for me also. I always hit the mirror. Hate to pay extra for shorter handle!
Brilliant idea, I love this brush but also find the handle too long, be great to have it with a shorter handle, especially for travel
I love how your eyes POP!!!
Thank you Angie.....that eyeshadow is beautiful on you!!!! I've been wearing the Maybelline lippies since late spring
...love them amd the lifter gloss!!! Might have to try the halo and the eyeshadow pallette, just beautiful!!
Good morning Angie the makeup looks beautiful & for the time it was on your face it looks amazing see you in the next one 🌺🌸🌹
Yeah, that brow product took way too long, I have other pomades that are quicker & easier!
Get the Fran Wilson brow stencils-can use powder or gel to fill in the color.. they make it super easy to get the correct shape and color in 1 minute...
What is your favorite powder to set under the eyes?? Thank you in advance! ❤
Going to have to try that lippie…it’s so pretty! Love seeing new products and how they work! Thanks Angie! 🥰🥰🥰
Hi Angie! I'm not able to get the bk brushes right now. Any other brand you want to suggest at a lower price range? Thanks 🙏
Will have to try the Lippie and blush too! Thanks Angie. I love the Babo tinted sunscreen - it is a great match for my skin tone.
TEST THE COLORSCIENCE SUNSCREEN...OMG SOOOO GOOD FOR ANY SKIN ESP OLDER SKIN
Hi Angie, love your videos. Do you not like using setting spray or powder?
You look Gorgeous. I was a little surprised to see that you put bronzer contour over your blush
You need to try the Missha Soft Finish Sun Milk Sunscreen, it's lovely
Do you put sunscreen on before moisturizer? I’ve been curious about Halo!
just noticed you still have makeup swatches on the back of your hand after the 10 hour check in lol.. thanks for the review of the new makeup. love the ND shadow on you
I would like to have your opinion on Tarte "Foundcealer". Since I love the Tarte Maracuja tinted moisturizer , i would appreciate. Thank you 😊
I haven’t visited your channel in a hot and flashy minute, but WOW, you are looking more beautiful than ever. Timeless!!
I really love your makeup in this video!! So fresh and subtle and pretty.
I’m wanting to try that lippie! What color did you end up putting on, peachy or cheeky?
Peachy!
I really appreciate the close ups you do for us! Thank you
Have you had anything done to your lips? The color is gorgeous! Are they naturally that pigmented? You look amazing with literally just balm on.
Would love to see the foundation with your regular sunscreen. Thanks!
You’re so beautiful. You’re make up looks great!
Angie, I just love your concealer brush! I feel like it really works like nothing else! How about making this in a tinier size and we have an entire set of Angie’s concealer brushes in different sizes? 💕🥰
I’ve been using the nyx wonderstick for years and was worried it was discontinued because I couldn’t find it for ages! Looks like its back!🌟💫
There is a smaller version available on Amazon. the brand is Ducare. And the price is very affordable!
Have you tried the Maelove mineral sunscreen? I just received my package and I love it just by trying it on the back of my hand.
Those fall colors look great on you Angie! Always love your videos!
Thank you Angie for all you do for us.
My name is Tatyana
I am 68 years old and discovered your videos recently and learned a lot.
Thanks
I don’t wear makeup but I love watching you do yours & it makes me want to try!🥰
Do you know if the Omnilux products will be part of ay holiday/Black Friday discounts? Thank you
As soon as I saw your video drop I ordered two colors of the lippy! If you recommend it, I know I will like it! Thank you for your videos!
