    Instead of nr.4 prerender, I prefer to create a proxy for the render intensive comp (make sure to set up a high quality proxy setting -and switch on use proxies for the final render), I find it cleaner as I don't add layers to the comp that I then have to enable/disable. If you want to go back in and make adjustments just disable the proxy checkbox! Loving your tutorials btw

    I have been a subscriber to you since you had like 25k subs.
    Seeing you now with more than 100k subs makes me happy!
    Because YOU deserve it!
    I mean, I am not even a motion graphic designer, but I am saving your videos so if I needed them (which I know I will if I joined the motion graphic stuff)
    So thank you for your hard work and for making tutorials very clear.
    English isn't my mother language so it's hard to understand English accents, not to mention you are Australian(I think), but still, I understand every word you say because:
    You speak slowly
    Don't use fancy words
    Always setting examples
    Which I really appreciate.
    Anyways, I REALLY wish the best for you.

    I agree with #11 to an extent but it's worth noting that by building everything in AE you have the option to set a single control layer for global color adjustments or other parameters. Though this is generally only an issue for larger projects/sequences or if you aren't certain on a color palette yet.

    Just a note, more RAM and more cores will definitely help you render faster, in a way. If you can dedicate say 4GB of RAM each to maybe 12 cores, you can make the most of BGrender or rendergarden. So something like a ryzen 3900x with 64 GB of ram would get you there with some additional headroom to still be able to use your computer while the render is happening.

    • @BenMarriott
      @BenMarriott  5 років тому +3

    • @BenMarriott

    What's the thinking behind using underscores in file and asset names rather than spaces?

    • @BenMarriott
      @BenMarriott  5 років тому +1

      mainly out of habit, It's the standard in most studios I've worked it. It stems from many software applications don't recognize file names that contain spaces.

    • @max_pin
      @max_pin 5 років тому
