The point of the gel sock is to be in contact with the gel pad as the immobilizer so putting it under your sock may workbut put the gel pad on, then the gel sock, then your regular sock, it will work better and feel more comfortable
As a kid I used to avidly Rollerblade all the time lol (I was hardcore no gel schmell inserts no nothing) now I am much older have not really got back into Rollerblading or Ice skating but I really need a good workout and something fun to where I can lose weight & I've not forgotten how to Roller skate or Ice Skate either but now deffo need some ankle support lol older now
my coach said to warm them up a lil at home with an hairdryer and then to try them on so they can loosen... and i figured out that maybe is the back of the skate which is hard..that is a lil too tight and pushes "down" on my heel... do you think is a good idea? He said that new skates often hurt...even to proskaters...
I was wondering if any of this can keep your heel in a figure skate. Because on my right foot my heel will sometimes come out of place but on the left side it fine.
+Sarapinksuper A lot of figure skates have a heel lock, usually for custom made figure skates. It's basically a pocket for your heel. I've never really had the problem of my foot sliding so I wouldn't really know if an ankle sleeve like the one shown in the video will help with your foot from sliding. There are all kinds of small pads you can buy to put around your heel and ankle that might help. But you're best bet is to speak to the figure skating manufacturer that made your skates, providing that your skates were custom, and see if they can make suggestions.
Hey, thank you for the video. I have a question... it's 3 months i'm doing figure ice skating... and i just bought my first pair of regoular and serious ice skates... so i'm not used at the heel they have... i tried them for the first time yesterday and the back of my foot hurt really bad... underneath the heel ... i think it's because the ones i used to rent they were flat...do u have any advise? should i buy a gel disk like those to put underneath my heel?
I have a pain on the front ankle area. I think it's from me tying my skates to tight. it's hurts when I try to do cross overs and I have a tournament this weekend. what do you think that can help this heal?
+Brun Remmy Sorry I didn't reply sooner. The only thing that can help you heal is lots of sleep and not skating. You have to stay off the ice in order to let your body heal itself. I've had the same problem many of times. Staying on the ice only keeps re-injuring your ankle.
I got a painful muscle or tension about ten cm above the heel, which I think is because the back of skate is hard and often push my leg. And to my wonder, the pain only happens on my left foot. Do you have a clue how can I get rid of this annoying problem ? Thanks

I get blisters on the 'arch' of my foot. I've tried wearing thicker socks but they still occur. They're skate hired
