In every 2k it is always the same cry, every streamer and UA-camr always wants the easy one and hate playing against competition. Why do those of us who work 40 or 50 hours a week who want to enjoy playing 2k have to play against youtubers,streamers and sweaty nerds?

Bruh I work 60 hours on a slow week as a truck driver 😂. I got my build up to gold plate and even I spend 30 mins+ in the lobby waiting to find games. Idc who I play rather it’s the best cheaters in the world or the worst players ever. If I have an hour or 2 of free time to unwind before getting ready for the next day, I’m not enjoying spending more than half of that time just waiting to start a match.
Y’all have to stop pushing false narratives yall was not playing UA-camrs every day. Most 2k players are trash or at best decent the players y’all see on the internet are rare,comp players make up of at max 15% of the community.
Especially if you play park or theater and even Rec.
I love the SBMM honestly. Every game feels like you earned the W or the L. Its way less cheesy than 2K24 was.

Easy fix just make the plates switch with every player you make can’t duck smoke if every build you make starts with a red plate

At the end of the day the Matchmaking system alone just needs to be rebuilt and upgraded to be more advanced smarter and more aware of what the players level is and who that player’s areas needs to be matched up against
The latency lag on this game is what kills it I think the shooting can actually be good if it responded when you told it to, the match making sucks my ball handling three point guard shouldn’t be up against a center guard
I just turned red last night and I see no problem I actually like the comp it's never a blow out like how it was in 24 and it makes you actually play the game so idky people just don't adjust to the game instead of having the game adjust to you for one year

Only thing I say is loosen SBMM after waiting for a min or 2. If you red you should be able to mix with Purple plates and maybe gold.
It should be strict in Events, Pro Am, and Provin Grounds. Loose everywhere!
But far as the “nowhere to play casually” crowd…. Playing casually means I’m chillin and just enjoying the game! Bc I’m enjoying it with friends or the game itself. Winning and losing doesn’t mean anything.
Problem is ppl care about win percentage and stats to much!

No disrespect to these UA-camrs but Badgeplug, Brutalsim, Choc & DF Clan (I know they're not together anymore) are just a few of the many known UA-camrs who were begging for this. "Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it!!" These UA-camrs asked for matchmaking and now they're ALL complaining they can't get games. They all complain they gotta play game 7 in the NBA finals every game. This is what you asked for. Their records mainly look the way they do because their constantly playing against their subscribers. Half of them are little kids and don't know how to play. Or dudes who swear they are comp and just want to be on stream and will continue to keep coming back even if they lose. UA-camrs in 2K15 ,16 and 17 were the main ones who were ducking and dodging each other. Every time another UA-camr came into their server and waited for the next, the UA-camr on the win streak would actually hop off the spot giving up the win streak and run to a different server. These UA-camrs within hrs would then go on UA-cam and complain bout other UA-camrs trying to get CLOUT off their name. Not giving them content so they can say they dropped them off. That's where the term Clout Chasing started. These UA-camrs wouldn't even play each other until 2K19 when they started wagering each other. That's the only time they would to play each other. If nobody was putting money up for a wager then they weren't playing each other. Now fast forward to 2K25, the community is made up of players who swear they're dribble gods, don't play team ball, can't play defense, always want someone to stand in a corner and watch them dribble just to get the ball stolen, running from better players and won't play each other unless they're wagering. Not to mention most of them don't even want to pay the wager when they lose.
I try my best to be in the know of what other creators are doing, but you’ve opened my eyes.
As a gamer I try my best to not care who I go up against but to learn who that person is after we run against them especially if the chat knows them.
@@iPodKingCarter I've NEVER ran from anyone. If ur "COMP" then the word RUN shouldn't be in UR vocab. I've never had a 90% win record. But I'm far from a bum. I run wit randoms all the time and when I actually do play with those wit higher or better LVL, OVR or Win % they proceed to sell me or play dribble out the shot clock and throw me a grenade
Having SKILL based matchmaking in games that aren’t even polished enough to require skill is crazy. SBMM is not for the players. Its for the publishers and COD is the perfect example of it. Its to get people to spend more time playing a trash game.

I've always said that skill based match making is the worst thing to ever happen in video games. The only way to get better at anything in life is to have experience over and over again. It's OK to have demon lobbies every now again but every game is crazy. I'm red plated and every game is sweat damn

As someone who hasn’t played 2k every day ironically since I’ve played with pod when I do play I enjoy it feels just right but I also don’t play a 100 games a day my total is usually 3 to 5 games
Imagine buying a game centered around COMPETITION and then complaining about playing competition. If you want to play casual they have mycareer

Don’t have a problem with SBMM, just have a problem waiting longer for games. Just think the SBMM should be looser so I can get constant games in theater. Shouldn’t be waiting park times to get into matchmaking games.
I think the biggest problem is a lot of the community are solo players . And this whole being a solo player on a team base game
It's now been 10 days since I've been able to find a ranked game in 3v3 - silver ranked. The farthest I've gotten is halfway into Pro and now I cannot find a game. People are complaining about who they have to play every game. I just want to play the damn game 😂
I shouldn't have to wait Lord knows how long to find a match when I havent even reached red plate or even gold tier ranked - I'm only half way thru silver. The core idea of SBMM isn't a problem for me, it's how long it takes to find a match. At least expand the skill window or something to speed up the queue times.. (thinking how MLB The Show handles their ranked seasons)
These issue isn’t sbmm. The issue is making every mode a ranked mode. No one’s complaining about sbmm in pro am. But in casual modes and making them wait for games based on your ranking makes it ranked when rec is clearly the casual to pro am. That just doesn’t make any sense.

These companies have mass amounts of data on this type of stuff. SBMM = more player retention, more $$$. It’s as simple as that. This isn’t going anywhere

I’ve noticed the top 1v1 players on proving grounds have under 200 or 300 games… in fact the very top guy had like only 160 games as of earlier this week (unless that number is glitched or something)… it’s cuz they can’t get any games in to begin with! Matchmaking is busted.

If your a silver level the system should start searching for silver level players first then bronze and that’s it. A silver level should never play a gold level or platinum player unless you’ve been waiting in the same lobby for over 5 minutes then it should start searching for players that are above you and below you that way if you wanna keep waiting you might get matched up with higher levels and it should indicate when searching what level the game has found that your matched up against immediately

I wanted a SBMM, but not like this. The only way to ever implement it is by a 1-100 scale system. Wins should matter most in how your rank goes up or down, but performance in a loss should impact it as well. It really is the only way, and doesn't mean 95's should play with 95's, just that each person would have a similar score found. You could have two 95 PG's going at it, but the rest of the team is lower than them, with comparably lower rank on the other side.
As a casual solo player that's a starter 2 red plate at the moment I love sbmm. I just think the randoms be trash some time.

Sbmm isnt a problem imo... it just seems pointless to be in every game mode that isnt park. Sbmm makes sense for pro am and proving grounds since they are ranked modes but personal i dont want to have to sweat a rec game at 5 am when i just got off work regardless of my in game skill level. Just trynna hoop fr ❤❤
They were obviously testing it out prior ( 92 under rec etc. ) I had friends that never touched 99 because they had easier games.

Yeah if you lose in the Proving Grounds coliseum and leave out the waiting for game then try to go back in with your team, it makes it seem like youre not in the same city anymore even tho you are

Deja vu..... the community and/or influencers whinge, cry and beg for something, then complain about it. Then they'll start with the "2K doesn't listen to the community" BS. You could make a meme of it, like the Ben Simmons off season memes.
Fact is, 2K listens to the community too much, that's why the game has become the Homer Simpson car, too many bells and whistles.
It was the community that has gotten us the parks that are ridiculously stupid. Yeah, I started complaining about the stupid nonsense in the Parks when they added the roller coaster to Old Town in 2K16, the community called me a hater, they loved the stupid stuff in parks. They whinged and cried that they didn't get an underwater park, all those clowns have given us the idiotic parks.
A lot of the community and influencers have demanded SBMM for years, now they are crying about it..... "oh no!, I've bragged about my 90% win rate every year because I play against so many bums, now I have to play against people on my skill level..... IT'S NOT FAIR!!!!!".
This isn’t true at all 2k add things that people ask for but always do it wrong that’s the problem and some of things you mentioned are things most player weren’t really asking for

Firstly, 2K has always implemented things badly, when you whinge for something to be added you should know this.
Everything else was right as well, every year they added a stupid park I would complain, only to be bombarded by the community telling me I'm a hater and the parks are great. I wanted realistic looking parks, I was told they were boring by everyone.
It's only this year that the community finally started to complain about the crazy parks and asking for realistic parks again.
Same with the SBMM, all the so called comp players started pushing for it and it became a common talking point over the years. The community wanted it, 2K put it in wrong..... of course, they always do, but they wouldn't have done that if the community didn't beg for it in the first place. 2K has always been 'all or nothing' when making changes.
So when the community complains about too many steals, 2K nerfs it so no one can get steals. Same with shooting, the community cries about not being able to shoot their 3s at 75% or more, 2k buffs shooting so everyone can shoot 95%.
It's the community whinging about everything and never being happy that gives us a schizophrenic game every year.

200 games of rec winning 70% of them, i can say ur at the best gaming experience when one or two red plates show up in that random rec lobby, besides that, if its red vs red especially grouped play? Its the most sweaty experience ive seen. Red plate vs red plate sucks. Honestly ur better off getting on the precipice of red plate and gold plate but stay in gold.
Gotta have matchmaking but it should be time limited it should only search for your level of competition for a short period of time if there’s no one on your level searching then the matchmaking should switch to the next level that’s under you and so on and so on there needs to be levels to this
We gotta keep it a bean though some mfers don’t even try to get better they just do the same shit every game not caring about mistakes. Sbmm is good but we just have to adjust to the change.
Because in turn it’s good for solo queue players because at least you’ll get descent teammates. So I’m cool. 🤷🏾♂️

Thier is also alot of fake casuals. Being a black plate dont make you a casual. Lots of black and silvers have over hundreds of games played. You also have casual comp, Ppl who are good at the game but got a life and work alot with kids like myself. There are different levels to this whole thing 😂. Skill based match making needs some tweaking.
