People need to keep in mind that this is extremely dependent on where you live. Yeah of course in the middle of San Diego you're going to be getting orders like crazy, good tips, all that. However out in an 'average' city, you might go 2 hours without getting a single order, during what the app claims is a lunch/dinner rush.

I finally made over 1K this week (7 days for breakfast, lunch and dinner). You gotta hussle but it’s worth it.
Hard Truth Soldier I work in Long Beach, Ca. So from Monday to yesterday (Sunday) I took advantage of the promotions that Postmates offers and made $1041 for the week. This included everything: base pay, promotions, tips. I don’t take every order, though. Just got to hussle, be smart about which orders to take and do breakfast, lunch and dinner. That’s 4K/month and it is possible, and you answer to no one except yourself. Get that grind on!

@@michealindigowarrior9617 If you can do DoorDash and UberEats (multi-app) breakfast, lunch and dinner then you will. I use to do Postmates but not anymore; other platforms pay better and have more information for you to make wise decisions.

Mike you have some of the best info I have seen on UA-cam. I try to make to make over a hundred a day at least. However long it takes me to get there. Postmates is easier to navigate when your driving. I think i get way better Tips with Postmates. I looked at what I did with Doordash and the base pay for me was usually 3.00 with a 3.00 plus tip. I was on postmates for about 5 hours yesterday and made around 100. I think door dash and postmates are great platforms with there own issues. Anyways great video as always!

In my area (northern New Jersey), Postmates would give you a delivery that's 10 or 15 miles away. And when you get half way there, they'll cancel it and give it to a driver that's closer without giving you any reimbursement for gas. One time that happened to me three times in a row. Someone must've took them to court on the issue because they haven't been doing it lately.
Wow that's a waste for you as a driver, definitely not good businesses practices if that's happening and a sure way to lose drivers.
I'm trying out a full day of PostMates tomorrow
I do postmates only in Huntington Beach, CA and make between $120 to $150 consistently during dinner hours (4:30-9:30) depending on hitting the guarantees and tips. You really need to know the app and be very picky on orders you accept and even be willing to cancel orders with long wait times... its a whole different ballgame If you wing it, its more like $60 to $70 for the same hours.
I accept every order on every service. I drive a saturn vue 07. Has over 210 thousand miles. Bought it for 150 bucks. Getting my money out of it

Does your delivery vehicle change how much you get paid? For example how much you get paid for driving a car vs riding a bicycle?
Just to provide clarity Doordash does do stacked deliveries it’s just a matter if the orders are close in proximity to each other
I get stiffed a lot too on Postmates so I practically never do gas station deliveries or Wendy's since I have to order and pay.

Yes, all depends on the factors, where you’re delivering to (I try to stay in high class areas) how many orders you do, how long each order takes, and how long it takes to get tipped. But on Halloween I actually made $152 and I could’ve possibly go to $200 if I started earlier and maybe kept going.

Yeah $16 is pretty abysmal tbh. I just applied because DoorDash has to many drivers in my area all the sudden and now I’m not making the $40 I was making it’s down to like $28 so hopefully I can get around there on PM, after this I doubt it though
Having experience with both PM & UE. UE is so much better in terms of customer service and pay.

I never see a bonus on Postmates except when I started but somehow I got a 10 dollar bonus on one order I did not to long ago so I rarely do Postmates.
I use To Make $3000 monthly with DOOR DASH during the Day & at Nights i would work At "Lazy Dog Restaurant" . The money is AWESOME. Trying Out POSTMATES For The Next Few Weeks!! COOL VIDEO MAN!!

I live in between 5 major tourist towns. To my south the beach cities and to my north Irvine spectrum and the surrounding areas. Easy I make 200 a day working my odd hours and weekends 3 to 400

Independent contractors only get taxed 15%, not sure if anyone else really knew that or not.
I have a question what happens if I made an account that had money in it because of the deliverys, and added my card info do I still get the money transfered if I forgot the account info and made a new account. Help lol

Postmates paid more when you drive farther but can you show how to do delivery with non contact because I'm worries most customer lied about food tampering and other things just get free food that what happened to me on doordash

Long story short, Uber Eats is my honest recommendation. I've been doing Doordash and Uber Eats for about a year and a half now. I only ever deliver during peak lunch and dinner times when there's promotions. I live in Southern California too so the market is great. I have found in my experience, Uber Eats 90% of the time always pays more than Doordash. I never do Doordash anymore unless Uber Eats is dead slow, which is rare in my area. I'm gonna be honest, I'm making bank off Uber Eats (currently $36-$45/hr). Uber almost always pays me on average $10/order+ (sometimes $15-$20) before I get customer tips. Distance can be as low as 3 miles and I'll get $10 from uber alone. Doordash is a tip based app. Doordash only pays you between $3-$4.50/delivery unless there's Extra Pay. The rest is based on whether a customer tips you (average of $4-$5 in tips). On Uber Eats, after tips are processed (on almost every order now), I will end up with an average of $13/order. (Tips typically range from $4 - $20+). Although I gotta say, looking through my earnings history, a lot of my orders are $15-$20/delivery (some are $30 +). The biggest reason, besides pay, of why Uber Eats is better: less time, no hassle. All Uber Eats orders are paid upon arrival, almost never have to wait for the order to be ready at restaurants, and the distances are often close. For this reason, I can complete 3-4 deliveries per hour, compared to Doordash I can only complete 2 maybe 3 per hour. Some Doordash orders require that you place an order at the restaurant, or pay for an order which adds a substantial amount of time to the delivery. I also OFTEN experience technical issues with Doordash where the restaurant doesn't even get the order and I have to cancel or contact Support to kick the order through. Waste of time. Uber Eats pays the most and requires the least amount of time and effort. Not sure if you've tried Uber Eats before, but I will always recommend it over Doordash. I'll admit, Uber Eats did not start better than Doordash for me, but now that I've been doing it for so long, Uber Eats is without question FAR more profitable than Doordash. I'm almost glad other people don't know that because it makes the market much better for me and not over saturated so I get all the orders hahahaha.
Uber Eats is trash I’ve done both over a year now and doordash I make $30-40 an hour on average Uber Eats I make $15-20. Doordash is the best by far it’s not close at all.
I could argue that all day. I log every delivery I've ever done on both apps and 9 times out of 10, I always get paid more on Uber Eats. That's a fact. But hey, the less people know about Uber Eats, the more money in my pocket. So to each their own.
Just one example - I did Uber Eats yesterday for 3 hr 55 mins total and made $160.12 in the end.

Tip frequencies vary but on DD I average 93-95% tip frequency

Your Driver Mike no problem man! Great Channel! I would say the only thing I don’t like about Postmates is that it doesn’t tell you where you are delivering and how much you will earn. Also the app is unpredictable like on Friday I had a ton of orders and I went to pick the order up and confirmed it and then the Postmates app wouldn’t give me the address. Is the bonus actually a thing? Because I’m halfway to 85 which is the bonus for $500. I heard however they slow down your delivery when you get close to the bonus numbers.
With no bonuses you can't even get close in Los Angeles.
