My daughter averages $120-200 per day any day of the week. She does this by accepting all of them while she is dashing. She doesn’t pick and choose like others say they do because she figures being a delivery driver is not different really than any other job. The employer is NOT paying you for wear and tear on your vehicle. It is your responsibility so DoorDashing is no different. As for her time logged in the app she can reach $120 within 3 to 4 hrs Thursday thru Saturday and sometimes other days of the week especially if it is the first week of the month. Other times she will need to be out 6-8 hrs per day. Her bring home weekly is $650-$800 per week depending upon how many days she works during the week. She has 100% acceptance, 100% completion a 4.89 rating(because some people will only give 1 star no matter how quickly you get their order to them or how much you do for them). With over 2000 deliveries to date. And this is done in South Carolina of all places! I would like to add that she did this well in Louisville Kentucky when we lived there as well.

I want to help your daughter. I know I won't be listened to, but I figured I should at least try. Your daughter is NOT an employee.
I make $25 to $30 an hour, sometimes $40 to $50, but that doesn't happen often. I NEVER need 6-8 hours to make $120. This is because door dash is NOT my employer and this is NOT charity work. I only accept trips that pay me for my time, mileage, and fuel. According to your info, your daughter sometimes makes what I make and other times can make as low as $15 an hour.
I have a 4.97 rating because I only get 5 stars and the occasional 4 star from a customer that has no idea that a 4.3 is deactivation. They would be horrified if they knew they were giving me a rating that = deactivate. I have this because I don't take no tip orders. No tip to low tip order people often get their food cold. They are angry people because they set themselves up. If you don't deliver to these people, you don't get bad ratings. I've only ever gotten 4 stars 3 times (IIRC), all other ratings have been 5 stars.
If your daughter still wants to be an employee making $15 an hour (REMINDER... this is PRE - expenses. She has to fork over a portion of that to vehicle maintenance and fuel.) If your daughter still wants to be an employee explain it this way.
Imagine you do yard work. For whatever reason, you don't set your prices. You get your jobs from a third party app where the customer tells you how much they will pay you. Does it make sense to take every job, even if the customer wants to pay you $4 an hour? Taking every contract sent your way means you are often doing contracts that only pay $4 per hour. This means that although you get contracts that pay $30 an hour, those $4 an hour jobs will shrink your profits to $20 an hour. There is ZERO reason to accept a bad contract that doesn't pay what YOU ARE WORTH. There is even less reason to accept a contract that is literally losing you money because the trip costs more than you are being paid.
I really suggest you trying to talk some sense into your daughter. You don't want people exploiting her do you? She isn't an employee and the business isn't setup to treat her like an employee. She gets no benefits and ALL... EVERY SINGLE COST is put on her, not doordash. This is why doordash will let customers pay $5 for a 10 mile (20 round trip) order. They aren't eating the costs, the driver is. Door dash would charge them $25a to $30 if they had to pay an employee and eat the costs. It's basic business practices. $15 an hour minus expenses is not good. Depending on state, you can go sit at mcdonalds and have ZERO... ABSOLUTELY ZERO costs to make your money. THEN you can do doordash as a side ONLY on thu/fri/sat to make your $25 - $40 per hour.
I'm not trying to insult anyone or be mean. I'm simply trying to bring your daughter back to reality. She is not an employee and she will not be treated like one. Her mind set is not healthy for this kind of side hustle. I literally put in 1/2 the effort and make just as much as her. It's because I work smart, not like an employee.

I make more than every so called expert with 100% acceptance rate. As of now I do have a 5 star rating, I do have 100% completion and I’m only on time 90%. I only work the from 6-10, so 4 hours per day and I average 200-250 within that time.
My big tip, location is a huge factor. I’m in the metro area of a liberal city. With a college and minimal restaurants. Nothing crazy that will bring me out of zone. My lowest offers are 8 bucks to drive a couple blocks. The people are super conservative in the pocket I’m delivering too so they appreciate friendliness. I’ve been tipped 5-15 after delivery just by going above for them. I’m super nice to staff so even if they make me late, I smile, thank them and I tell them “good work” or I find something to compliment them about. Now, if they see me walk through the door, they rush my orders because in the guy that brightens their day.
A lot of people actually just know me as the media guy from the college. So there actually surprised to see me door dashing. If I didn’t do it my i have a respectable income but making extra, means I make over 100k a year and I also have my freelance work that brings in 2k-10k per project. So yes door dash is awesome and having a good mentality and trustworthy attitude will get you far.

Been doing DD for a few weeks to see what its like. So, I accept every order I get. Worst has been $4.50 no tip. I need to stay busy or I actually fall asleep. So accepting everything from 8:30- 2:30 Usually gets me $100 for 6 hours. Thats been my experience. Having a 90+% acceptance means DD keeps giving me orders. But like I said. I started dashing last week to fill in a slow period for my remodeling business. I think you could easily make $100/ day in 3.5 - 5 hours even when not on peak bonus times. You are going to just have to stick it out for the week because some days it's comes easy and you make more than $120 in 4 hours and other days you make $85 in 4 hours. In the end it all averages out and if your goal for the week is $500, you may have to work an extra hour or two on an evening or Saturday breakfast to make it. It's fun all in all. I love doing it.

Hi 👋 Mike I do Gopuff weekly here in NYC 🗽 now they send me this notification, Starting January 23, delivery partners in your metro will see a new “trip offer” screen, which displays the estimated delivery time, the number of orders included in the trip, and the total earnings before tip. Base pay will be higher for trips that are estimated to take longer. As such, delivery partners at our Flatiron location who make the extra trip to pickup wine and spirits can expect to earn higher base pay to account for the additional time.

That would have also included the extra effort of trying to find parking in a crowded shopping center, then walk an undetermined amount of distance to FIND the Krispy Kreme, get the order, then walk all the way back to car which is most likely parked on the farthest parking space in the lot, then drive that 12.5 miles to a known high crime area, all of that for $4.00. then MAYBE I could reach $100/ Day. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are good. Tuesdays can work. Wednesday and Thursdays are bad in my market.

its $25/hr for active or utilized hour. The time between requests and for deadheading back to a power strip on a longer distance trip is NOT included!!! Its Fuzzy logic and fuzzy math at best. There is not a real world situation that you don't have lag time between requests as you have to decline a lot of garbage requests to get one that pay enough for you to reach $25/ hr

Yeah, I made $110 tonight, I looked and my active time was a little under 4 hours. They’re doing 10.25 for the pay by time in my area. lol, hell no

You are not making a $100 an hour in my area for four hours. I think this is for major cities.

Huntington West V all the way to Portsmouth Oh SUCKS. Terrible. I’m ready to move back to north Dayton or Cincinnati where it’s between 14-20 an hour 60 percent of the time
