I honestly think the 6505 is the best in terms of high gain, out of them all. It's really present, cuts well but still sounds huge, and is the least stiff feeling out of all of those amps. 6505 green channel is the way to go!
@Inverted314 What's this about the necks? They don't seem that big to me, the neck on my solo 6 custom is only a little thicker than the one on my tele. Maybe cuz mine is newer? I dunno..
@Inverted314 Schecter's neck size is by body shape/model not by series, so all the solo 6 necks feel the same even if it's a blackjack atx or a classic or hell raiser. Same with the C1's and ect. But Most of the necks are really similar. I've owned alot of schecters haha
@MrEmokid09 well if you go to starcase.com you can buy all the parts to build one. I was going to do tht but i ended up just buying a rack case and a amp head case. And if your lucky on ebay there might be one specifically for your amp head but if not your stuck with either building it or getting it custom made.
@XxXxJUSTJACKxXxX i saw the devil wears prada on their UK tour 2 weeks before warped and he was using his sig for drop D still, and he was using the other one foe everything on the zombie EP (drop b)
@pandamanparty Actually I have to agree on the neck thing. The neck on my Schecter always seemed huge to me, probably why I got rid of it. I'm left handed though so Schecter is about the only company that makes lefty guitars so it's kind of a catch 22. I think some of the newer ones like the Blackjack might be a little thinner though?
@MrEmokid09 you'll sell your right arm to get one, some mesa amps give you one with the amp, they're really expensive and i'd ask someone in your local guitar shop to find out where you can get one locally
@danieluan89 kinda. a Thin c is the best way to put it. So it's thin but it's like a really thin fender neck. Not flat like an LTD, Ibanez or Jackson. The best way to find out is trying one at your local guitar shop
@xbrandati0nx Why would you much rather play a Les Paul Custom than a Schecter? If you've seen one lately they aren't built any better they just cost 3x as much.
shit, just noticed that. Big thing has to be the rockerverbs. It might be weird but I usually dont see rockerverbs in metal guitar rigs, only with jim root, but they do have a fucking heavy tone.
@xbrandati0nx So they why go from a Schecter Tempest Custom to a Fender Jaguar?? I don't see any reason for leaving Schecter unless ESP was sponsoring them, which clearly they aren't.
6534 and 6505 are quite different, basically the EL34 model will give more mids but will be a bit more muddy. The solution for me would be a 6534 with a 6CA7 which basically is a 6L6 with the mid emphasis of EL34s
Tdwp cite slipknot as one of their biggest influences. Chris uses ibanez guitars. So does Mick Thomson. Jeremy uses fender guitars with orange amps. So does Jim root and they even have similar pedals... weird coincidences lol.
@Inverted314 Well one because schecter necks hard huge. Some people like them but I hate them. doesnt mean they dont sound good though. I would rather play the lespaul becasue the neck is thick but has a flatter back side ( better for playing alittle faster) and also the les paul has better tone woods, but your right alot of what makes up the sound of the guitar its self are the pick ups. so you dont need a awsome guitar to sound good, good guitars just feel better :)
@XxXxJUSTJACKxXxX he probably had the guitar and used the bridge pickup before he had his guitars 'idiot-proofed' i know for a fact that chris got signed to ibanez and got his custom in 2009 & don't tell me, if you had your guitars 'idiot-proofed' you would take the pickup's out too? It's mainly for asthetic purposes probably
I think TDWP have totally changed like from their look which is a lot more classy to even their guitars with Jeremy and Andy using Fender now. Though its mainly Jeremy Andy and Mike that have changed their wardrobe not Chris so much.
Well, it's better to have it in the guitar rather than not installing it, plus it would stupid to have only one EMG in when the guitars can hold two lol. There would be an empty space right in the middle of the guitar.
Best part of this video is Less Than Jake rocking out in the second half.
This is an awesome video for any metal guitar player. 2 thumbs up
I honestly think the 6505 is the best in terms of high gain, out of them all. It's really present, cuts well but still sounds huge, and is the least stiff feeling out of all of those amps. 6505 green channel is the way to go!
exceptional tone!!!
@CordiusPL Mammoth. it is on the new tdwp album, Dead Throne.
That riff that jeremy plays at the end, is that from one of their songs cuz it sounded badass
@TheJpike Not sure on the head, but Andy uses a Fender Jazz bass.
looks cool
Recently just got the same guitar a his B guitar. Very good guitar.
@eugeneelgr like a push-pull to switch from the bridge to the neck pickup?
@Inverted314 What's this about the necks? They don't seem that big to me, the neck on my solo 6 custom is only a little thicker than the one on my tele. Maybe cuz mine is newer? I dunno..
@ReedCothren7 there pretty expensive, but type in "Amp rack" or "4x12 Cab Transporter"
@jaredmkl are schecter's necks thin?
i like how you can see Attack Attack! gear behind them
@XxXxJUSTJACKxXxX because a fender neck is thinner right?
@Inverted314 Schecter's neck size is by body shape/model not by series, so all the solo 6 necks feel the same even if it's a blackjack atx or a classic or hell raiser. Same with the C1's and ect. But Most of the necks are really similar. I've owned alot of schecters haha
@TheHeartTheUsed Probably, but Ibanez needs to update their site, and adds. they're saying he's using his sig for drop b
I wonder if in the beginning those people knew that was Chris Rubey walking by :)
And how you use it without a pickup selector?
@MrEmokid09 well if you go to starcase.com you can buy all the parts to build one. I was going to do tht but i ended up just buying a rack case and a amp head case. And if your lucky on ebay there might be one specifically for your amp head but if not your stuck with either building it or getting it custom made.
@XxXxJUSTJACKxXxX
i saw the devil wears prada on their UK tour 2 weeks before warped and he was using his sig for drop D still, and he was using the other one foe everything on the zombie EP (drop b)
@XxXxJUSTJACKxXxX I think he wired it to be a master volume so he can still use the neck pickup.
Does anybody know how to bypass the toggle switch like chris does in this video ? If u do please tells me how
Desolder the wires from the other pickup to the pickup selector.
Thanks for this vid helps alot! :D
anyone know i can get a pedalboard like the ones they use?
What's the intro song?
Cleans. Nuff said
They used to use schecters so it might b intentional
Ok.. I know that Chris' ibanez is not an AR-Z.. What kind is it?
What type of condenser mic is chris using on his cab?
whos the band playing while showing jeremys gear
@MrEmokid09
you'll sell your right arm to get one, some mesa amps give you one with the amp, they're really expensive and i'd ask someone in your local guitar shop to find out where you can get one locally
Notice they don't use metal zone petals. So stop using them. You sound like crap if you do use them.
because most times if you run through a bunch of pedals at once it adds some noise, it happens to me
@stopdropburn90 vans, when i met him on warped he was wearing a black one though
2 noise suppressors??
@danieluan89 kinda. a Thin c is the best way to put it. So it's thin but it's like a really thin fender neck. Not flat like an LTD, Ibanez or Jackson. The best way to find out is trying one at your local guitar shop
lol chris looks so normal that he can walk through warped tour without getting recognized
I wanna know what mics they use for the cabs and how the tone sounds just as good in b as d. Usually when you drop down you gotta adjust the eq.
first song?
What happened to their Schecters?
@hxcFluffy You got a point there, does look pretty cool
Like the Jackson Roswell Rhoads, and I personally think it looks bad ass.
what kinda bass head does andy use??
@xbrandati0nx Why would you much rather play a Les Paul Custom than a Schecter? If you've seen one lately they aren't built any better they just cost 3x as much.
And jeremy has similar hair to jim :D
That's the magic ns-2 setting. Most suppression without killing your tone.
whats the magic?
Pretty sure Chris uses the rhythm channel for lead tone and the lead channel for rhythm tones
shit, just noticed that. Big thing has to be the rockerverbs. It might be weird but I usually dont see rockerverbs in metal guitar rigs, only with jim root, but they do have a fucking heavy tone.
Any one else notice that Less Than Jake Was playing in the background
What the intro song?
Mammoth :)
@MrEmokid09 I think it was custom made :/
@xbrandati0nx So they why go from a Schecter Tempest Custom to a Fender Jaguar?? I don't see any reason for leaving Schecter unless ESP was sponsoring them, which clearly they aren't.
take out the cable linking the toggle
@IbaShredder4 Nah man, just a typical bluesy kinda riff haha :P It does, and the tone from that Orange is amazing !
Correct:
It's still their newest.
I miss the early 2010's.
6534 and 6505 are quite different, basically the EL34 model will give more mids but will be a bit more muddy. The solution for me would be a 6534 with a 6CA7 which basically is a 6L6 with the mid emphasis of EL34s
I can’t believe he uses the orange amp for rhythm? The peavy was way more chunky. But maybe they blend together better ?
@Inverted314 I think they got tired of having boats for necks.
The 5150 and 6505 are essentially the same thing.
Jerm almost has the same rig as Jim root o.O
Parkway Drive!!!! PLEASEEEEEEEE :3
Tdwp cite slipknot as one of their biggest influences. Chris uses ibanez guitars. So does Mick Thomson. Jeremy uses fender guitars with orange amps. So does Jim root and they even have similar pedals... weird coincidences lol.
@pivetlord13 and that's a problem, how?
THEY NEED TO DO PARKWAY DRIVE!!!
his guitar tech is old enough to be my dad
Still there newest.
"channel selector to go between clean and dirty for one portion of one song..." hahaha
@XxXxJUSTJACKxXxX
he probably had the guitar and used the bridge pickup before he had his guitars 'idiot-proofed'
i know for a fact that chris got signed to ibanez and got his custom in 2009
& don't tell me, if you had your guitars 'idiot-proofed' you would take the pickup's out too? It's mainly for asthetic purposes probably
I wish I was rich enough to have a "backup" 6534+ Peavey head...
We meet again Autobot
jeremey seems like a much more tone conscious guitarist. way to go!
daydreamer92ify I've met Chris he is the nicest and funniest dude out of the rest of the group.
4.35
attack attack!!
one for amp buzz and one for guitar buzz i think :p
They need to do Attack! Attack! Oh...wait...
Maybe later you'd like to use it and then you don't regret not ordering with them already
Mammoth off of their new cd dead Throne
Garrett Schwartz tons of things sound good, I want to know why they picked that guitar or amp or pedal over thousands of other ones that sound good.
Less Than Jake! Johnny Quest thinks we're sellouts!
not sure why you would spend money on a neck EMG in both guitars, if you cant even use it.
*Jeremy* ugh ughh..I have a..ughh.. UGHH UGHH
I hear less than jake in the background
I like these rigs. So sick of seeing bands just like, "yeah my rig is my guitar and axe fx and this crazy pedalboard and this preamp and shit..."
Point taken, but he could have it filled in, not saying he will or not.
and they tune to drop b and a now...
Lots of guitars out there with only one pickup in the bridge. It's not uncommon
Why the fuck change pickups if you don't use it?
I bet you all the kid's who watch this who play drums, are taking note of Danny's cymbals and batter heads, hahah. I know I was xD
LESS THAN JAKE in the background hahah! Johnny Quest Thinks We're Sell Outs.
jeremy is so hard to hear :[ haha. awesome vid though!
He most probably got the guitar for free, so they come in stock and then he must have canceled out the neck afterwards
Fuck that, 5150!
Well when you have enough money to do you want 100 bucks on an emg isnt a big deal.
Less Than Jake playing in the background...
