I have been playing slide guitar since last 30+ years, I play just as a hobby, not professionally, I was always in love with it but after watching your videos I am rediscovering my love for DOBRO. I have no words to thank you for this video and all other videos that you have shared.
I have watched and enjoyed the song video many times. Now this wonderful tutorial that has just about evry slick dobro technique. It made me feel guilty that I have only watched the free stuff and have not put any coins in your pocket. So I ordered 2 of your CDs today. That way I can enjoy even more, Abby, than what's online and not feel guilty. I had to make one variation on your technique when I do the first decent from the 7th fret down to the double stop with one note sliding down. I tune my dobro differently. instead of GBDGBBD I'm tuned DGDGBD. On that double stop/slide; instead of playing 2nd string 3fret, I play 4th string 5th fret and slide down. It has the advantage of putting me where I need for the chord grab on the 4th fret and I think it has a richer sound at least on my instrument.

Now I just realized it is not the same noted but I still like the sound so not I am parctising both versions for variety.
