A couple of thin flat washers between the block and starter will bring the teeth of the starter drive and ring gear into better alignment for engagement.
If you would have but a good battery in it on the first episode it probably would have turned over..but this is your show and im enjoying it sooo...send it
To keep the rabbits from digging out next to the fencing you may need to put wide flat pavers next to the inside bottom of the fencing. They tend to dig at an angle and down to go under the bottom of the fence and will not be able to do that because of the new concrete and wider rectangular pavers OR you could buy some chicken wire and by stapling it to the bottom rail of the fence and place it into the ground straight below the rail 8 inches down in the ground they wouldn't get too far without you noticing. Of course I'm a city boy ,what the hell do I know about raising rabbits. Excellent repair!
Brad, remember that flywheel cover directs cooling air over top end. Although, you could probably run it without for a little while without hurting anything.
I had an old 76 Chevy pickup when I was a kid and it had a couple broken teeth on the flywheel. Every once in a while I would have to crawl under with a flat screwdriver and push the flywhee past the missing teeth and voila !
Well done man. That time you spent on the starter motor was time well spent, looked like it needed a good service anyway. Looks like you might need to dig some trenches though and lay some bricks or other obstruction to keep those rabbits indoors. Great video, bit of a change, but, now is the time for change, no doubt about that.
Brad, take a Tonya Harding 2000 (aka a hammer), and tap on the bowl to unstick the needle valve...but I haven't watched the whole video to see if you figured it out.....Don't use that spray!! Use some 2 cycle gas and lightly spray into the carb...the oil in the gas will lubricate the cylinder walls and savd on scratching or ring wear.
Brad 👍 thank you I give you credit you have a lots of patience and free time. To work on the little John Deere RX 95 I just bought one my self . Unfortunately I run over some roots of the tree and the belt snapped. At that time the tractor was running 👌now we did try to remove the deck removing the cutter pins this and that 🤞but we are unable to release the deck . Don’t have idea what to do 😩 and besides now the tractor doesn’t want to start not even clicking I even took the battery out to have it slow charged. Before even without the belt it was running now I have 2 problems. (1) how I can install the new belt ? (2) the engine won’t turn over 😖 and I love the little tractor 😤 any one have Idea what I can to do 🙏
Don't beat yourself up over the fuel line/shut off valve. We've all been there. Anyone who claims otherwise is a liar...or they are Fixit Jesus. That was enjoyable watching that sucker start and run. Hope you can find more junk parts like wheels & tires.

This is painful Brad.. you know amps but I'm shocked you didn't figure out all the safety devices they put on these things.. I work on them all the time..
Glad to see some progress, will stay tuned!

The smile on your face at the end says it all!
Hi Brad, wire brush the flywheel teeth to remove the rust or you can shim the starter out if that doe's not fix it starting.
Brad - you need to shim the starter so that the teeth line up properly.
great work brad! this was an excellent series!

This has been a great little mini series. Nicely done mate.
17:42 was that as good for you as it was for me 😂
Can't wait to see the maiden voyage with that bad boy.

BTW...I love the paper plate insulator.

you need to shim the starter away from the flywheel,,,typical on automobiles
I can see where that might work. Might be the solution to that issue. Thanks!

Fixing stuff is great. Also, Louisville is a pretty nice place. I enjoyed my visit there.

Rabbit is delicious
@@brich2929 hell yeah, my aunt used to make the best Italian rabbit casserole. So greasy but awesome. I like what it adds to a ragu as well very much.
You're so getting there. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I am surprised they let you have chickens in a residential area like that. It would never fly in my part of TN.
Surprises me too. I’ll take it.

Crankcase oil? Air cleaner filter?
hey brad try a starter shim some times you need a shim on car starters to get it to ingage right i might be wrong but i think iv used them befor
Yep, I’ve installed many shims on many a Chevy in my day.
Nice! Do you still have all of your fingers?
All the ones i use.
but i had a trackter and it did the same thing so i replaced the starter and it fixed it
Bravo Brad. 😉
Don't forget to sharpen your blade(s)....don't make them razor sharp however....

Is there a seat switch?
Nope. Just the parking brake enabled and transmission in neutral according to what he said
No seat switch. Parking brake, neutral switch, and mower deck off switch.
dont know why I'm curious , but have your girls named the chickens?
They did name them all, although I don't think they can tell them apart anymore.
@@Fixologist1 I knew it - such a little girl thing to do, adorable though
