"Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself." - Sheev Palpatine or Darth Sidious.
From my understanding and interpretation of the books. Plagueis never really considered Sidious as an apprentice but rather a peer and/or confidant. A person to rule along side of him rather than as Master and Apprentice. And too that end, having effectively unlocked immortality he didn't feel the need to impart any of his secrets and largely not much training at all to Sidious... because he figured he had the rest of forever to do so. Sidious's attack on Plagueis and ultimate murder was one of opportunity. Plagueis got drunk celebrating Palpatine's nomination in Ep. 1 and he feel asleep for the first time in decades. To my knowledge, Plagueis's holocron was never recovered. THAT is the real tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise. Sidious killed him before really learning much of anything from him. Then rode his coat tails all the way from ep.1-6. That was ALL Plagueis's scheming. All of it: The Naboo blockade, the Trade Federation, Palpatine's nomination, the clone army, the clone wars, The Empire, and ultimately the construction of the Death Star. All Plagueis.
@@420neoclash420 you're one of the few fans that understand everything you posted. Sidious essentially RUINED all of Plagues' plans. He had set up the empire to be eternal just like him and Sidious would have been. He told Sidious that the rule of two would end with them being the top 2 sith lords with an organization of lesser sith beneath them. Sidious through his own recklessness destroyed the sith by killing Plagueis then through Vader and eventually Luke.
@@charlestaylor253 💯... it was partially Hugo's fault for not being able to see that Palpatine was a sociopath and narcissist and shouldn't have been his apprentice. Imagine if Plagueis waited and chose Anakin himself instead of Palpatine?? The empire and sith would have never fallen

You really flund your style and stuck to it. The consistent quality and quantity is seriously high level. Im a big fan, keep it up. I watch every video!
I realized something the other day and I'm curious what other people thoughts on this are. I realized that even though Darth Bane despised the Brotherhood of Darkness, there is one key similarity between Darth Plagueis and the Brotherhood of Darkness: the Ancient Sith spirits rejected them both, although for different reasons. The Ancient Sith rejected the Brotherhood because they didn't treat the dark side like the dark side. The Ancient Sith rejected Plagueis because, as The Stupendous Wave put it in a video I listened to recently, he didn't believe in the mysticism of the Force. He even went as far as believing the Force had no will of it's own and that he could understand the Force through a purely scientific lens. My only real thoughts on this is that I think it's ironic that the master of Darth Sidious, who basically brought the Rule of Two's purpose to fruition, would have such a key similarity with an organization the creator of the Rule of Two despised, so I was curious what others thought.
Hey, you did a great job with this video. Really enjoyed it. But I have to say I was waiting for you to break down the lore of how Palpatine killed plagues🥺(“in his sleep”) Regardless, still a great video🫡🚛
I knew I liked you! Plageuis is 💣 In the first section, you forgot the pinnacle moment, where the force ran from him, all the animals in his lab died horrendous deaths and he was never able to feel that resistance again. This coincided with anakin's conception..
This is where they were going with _The Acolyte._ I was really looking forward to seeing how Plagueis used this knowledge to lead up to the events of _The Phantom Menace._ I'm baffled and infuriated that the second season of _The Acolyte_ was canceled.

Omg that is so crazy plagius with palpertine created anakin what that is wild and plagueis saw a force vision of anakin becoming darth vader .
One thing that I’ve been wondering is how did Obi-Wan become one with the Force so quickly in ANH?
