hey there. just watched this video to see what the endgame is like before the addon and if i should hop back in, never had a level 60 char. What do you think will the endgame be like with the addon?

I'm a potential returning player from launch and thought the expertise was BS too, not knowing anything about it, really. I'm glad to see it gone in the expansion tho
Just a tip - pop your topaz potion and join a chest run. You'll get your two orbs from topaz, usually get your obsidian as well. If you join a Myrkguard train you'll usually cover off your amethyst gypsum too. Plus open a load of chests whilst youre at it.
Remember daily PVP outpost rush i do at 550+. Two games all you need to do for two ruby gypsums and the cache is a gear score drop as well. Ruby's are a 1-1 exchange so thats to gypsums you can get from it. FYI

As a fresh lv.60 noob and a solo player I have exactly no idea what to do after I hit lv.60, since there's a tons of guides are outdated, this video straight into the point and gives me a clear direction on that. btw is there's a universal builds that is good for overall pve? like I can deal with most situations with what gems or what perks? Hatchet and Spear is good in almost every situation, and would use Opal gems in the weapons, Diamond gems in the armor. You can run it in Light or Medium Equip load, depending on what you prefer :)
Your Gypsum farming spot totaly didint work for me, but while getting there, I noticed that almost all the peacocks in the area are dropping it, so this worked for me. You explained the expertise system really nicely, great vid. Cheers!

But I can allready see the Brimstone Sands quest on the map for pickup. So u guys might be able to do it earlier ;) (dunno tho if this is maybe a visual bug on the map and maybe im not able to pick it up until the point mentioned in the video^^)
If youre buying gear to grown into while you level anyways, you might as well look at 595+ gear with the stats you want now so you dont have to worry about it till cap, and can salvage everything else (or sell it) along the way.
Would love a video explaining the gearing in terms of how to get the initial gear and then how expertise and gypsun works. I'm still enjoying to much leveling and just doing basic quests so I'm probably far away from 60 anyways :p
it's pretty simple. Each piece of gear has it's own expertise level that increasses as you craft gear or loot higher gs stuff (not including named set 590s) buying a 600 will scale it down to your expertise level. And look up the gypsum chart. Various activities give you a daily limit of gypsum. You use gypsum to craft gear that is a guaranteed expertise upgrade.
Great guide and this explains why tempest was so damn hard for first time player as a healer at 505gs, but after hundreds of wipes, we finally beat it XD
Highly suggest going there at 58 and just explore all ? and get all fast travel locations. Did this and got two level of xp and didn't do quest one and hit 60

Question; I have already increased most item expertise to 600. If I then increase a weapon's GS to 625 using umbral, but then receive another weapon with better perks, do I need to use umbral again to increase the GS to 625 or would it automatically bump to625 when I equip it?
So I just hit 60, I bought gear and got my first drop raising my expertise. Do I have to wear that piece of armor to help me get higher expertise drops moving forward? The gear isn’t as good as what I bought so I don’t want to wear it if possible
finally hit 60 on old server. played today at level 60 today. out of 4 hours i played, 3 were running simulator. still hate how LFG for expeditions work, like it's not queue and pull in like in WoW. hate how i need to do attunement to get into brimstone area. which is not hard, but takes hours just running around. when modern days devs (overall, not just amazon guys for new world) would realize that no player wants to waste time on arbitrary time gates. like running from quest give to quest location for 10 minutes, than back, to pick up the follow up quest, which is located in the same place, so now you have to waste another 10 minutes running where you just have been. And there a lot of other time gates, or rather time wasters that i dont want to do. time gates like that are no fun. i just want to sit in main city (player hub), queue up for dungeons, raids and pvp, i dont want to run in between locations, just do those activities and that's it. they are fun. fun doing boss mechanics, fun pvping especially at casual level. this whole world exploration and running for hours is not my thing, just waste of time.

I did tempest on 530 gs with 550 teammates ,no problem.Had no idea i had to save the missions so that went out of the window.They should really tell you to save them somehow.
Good info, i just got to 600 average exp on my fresh servers character. I have saved all umbral shards intill now , arond 20-25k. My gearscore is 601. Should I start upgrading with umbral shards or save it for better drops?
Also, after you get to 600 expertise on slot, you start receiving cristal shards from the casts. HOWEVER not all the casts give the same amount ! Necklace always gives me 150 shards per cast, while void gauntlet gives me 388 shards per cast. Be aware of that when crafting casts to maximize shards gain each day.
I think the issue mostly is that running dungeons is hard. Getting a group is insanely difficult because people make groups with super high level requirements, something returning players just don't have due to expertise. Also getting to the tempest heart expedition is hard if you are soloing. There is a route that you can run but it will frustrate the everliving crap out of players :D I think to just run dungeons is impossible in real life though: almost no groups and if there are groups its 600+ GS requirement. Chest runs is prolly the best way but it will take a long long time.
i find quite a few group finder queues with no requirement and even if not, you can make a group for just farming the first boss in gen over and over, ez pz

Nah I'm 35sh. Tell me about DPS difference on void gauntlet between getting 100Int for those checkpoint perks and the better scaling over just putting that 100points into focus
i was about to get the game but now i know theres a cap that really sucks. Only 60 levels?? Yeah you can upgrade your trade and all that but then what. They really need to add more levels. Can you even get strong after you hit 60?
Hey Baggins. I stopped NW earlier this year cuz it became "shores". Dailies, chest runs, some expeditions. I'm not crazy about PVP, so there is that. I hate people IRL, so, dunno why I would purposely play against strangers. :-D So, still checking to see when to come back. But I feel it will be the same right now.
I always shit on this game and decided to give it a try yesterday and last I played was the 10 day beta and refunded it and now I’m addicted and this video will help me end game thanks!
The game is so grindy at 60th and character development doesn't feel like anything is happening anymore I gave up on the game. Great guide for those who want to keep playing.

Solo topaz farming also look at the skysong temple, more chests , still get the obsidian gypsum and can find rafflebones as well

Believe it bumps as it’s on character not item and your gear is downgraded till you level up
interesting so the tempest equipment would be good for invasions, elite areas like myrk, and clearing corruption breaches?

The information about Diamond gypsum is incorrect. You get it from the special events. Right now that means skinning turkeys.

Thats based on the expertise of what you're casting. Example...625 gives 400. 600 gives like 100

combine the gypsum skysong farm with maybe the ebonscale marauder daily then maybe 2 brimstone dailies and u get everything done in one small area :D
