How long do u expect the wrap to last? Bet it costs $1k so would have to last a few years to be worth it vs paint (although wrap looks damn good fresh installed).
This is awesome! My brother does this for a living and wraps very high end vehicles and has done fast and furious cars. I wanted him to wrap my Jon boat as soon as I was done painting it. Looks dope bro!
I essentially have that same Jon boat, ours is camo, but that looks so good. You did a great job my friend, how awesome is that. I love it. Thanks for taking the time to share this with us and i hope you have a blessed week. We do have a deck on the front of ours as well. it turning out nicely. Thanks again keep up the fun videos. dale
@@BentRodBassin I dont know why, but I have never done a video on the little boat, I have used in in a couple of my hunting videos, showing me going up the river to go hunting. But I need to do one, If I get time, I will do a quick video with it and share it with you sir. Thanks again and have a blessed weekend. Dale
Good informational video. Honestly, I would only do this if I had some sponsors to promote and they were paying for the wrap. The bass boat i use on local lakes and rivers has the factory paint job and the jon boat I use on the local ponds is 30 years old and earned every ding and dent for all to see. I understand wanting a cool ride, but, i go to catch fish, not look good.
Great video thank/ for sharing. Did the vinyl make the aluminum boat a bit more quiet in the water? I stalk spooky carp with a fly rod, figures this mod might help with that..
Great video! Thanks for sharing. I don't guess you have much saltwater in AR, but I am in SC. Would the type of vinyl and the other material (primer, sealer, etc.) be the same for saltwater use? Like yours, my boat is aluminum, but welded instead of riveted.
How much was wrap man this is the best looking wrap i’ve seen i have a 16ft Fisher Marine and i need this wrap in my life looks sweet bro well done 👍🏽.
@@BentRodBassin definitely thinking about this process now over painting my used boat. Painting seems more difficult and way more factors that could make it go wrong real quick. Not to mention way cooler vinyls. If I wanted a custom wrap would you suggest I hit up my local shop to help me out with that, or is that a online thing?
Great video. I'm wanting to wrap an 18.5ft fiberglass bass boat with a matte vinyl. Do you have any idea of how much material it would take, and which vinyl would you order?
You can use the corner of your squeegee or 3M makes a rivet brush RBA-3. When you apply the heat, your wrap should conform around the rivet. Hope that helps!
I understand that this was about a year ago however I was looking for a price range on doing something like this on my own Jon boat, could you possibly give me some ideal on how much this could run me. Thank you and I appreciate your time.
Like the boat wrap??! Hit that like button 👍

Probably a good 3-4 years depending on how well its kept.
@@BentRodBassin Good stuff.
Looks sick guys! Nice job!
Best how to video on wrapping I’ve seen yet. Thanks for the info. Just got my wrap today.
Thanks dude!

Looks great 👍 you made it look 👌 easy 😀.
Looks sick👍🏼 I’m in Bentonville! I need to wrap my 1852 mt aura!
Sweet, come see them in Rogers!
That's a sick looking job boat nice job
Thanks man! It was a fun project to wrap! 👍👍

For sure, it’s definitely an investment to protect the paint of your new boat.
Great video thank/ for sharing. Did the vinyl make the aluminum boat a bit more quiet in the water? I stalk spooky carp with a fly rod, figures this mod might help with that..
Probably not, the vinyl is only 2 mil thick, but it helps catch em!!!

I can’t say for sure on the saltwater application, however people do wrap boats in saltwater conditions! I would guess that it would be the same tho.
Thanks!
@@BentRodBassin hey can these be applied by a shop even on a little 10ft older jon boat that might have a few pings here and there?

Follow up video? How did it hold up?
As good as new!

Great job! Where are you located?

Great video. I'm wanting to wrap an 18.5ft fiberglass bass boat with a matte vinyl. Do you have any idea of how much material it would take, and which vinyl would you order?
I’d make sure you order at least a couple yards extra for bleed, and would recommend a 3M wrap vinyl.
What would you charge for a 15' x 52 Express I'm sure it would depend on the kind of wrap
Hit up Raptor if your in the Northwest Arkansas area.
What did you do to get the air out around the rivets?
You can use the corner of your squeegee or 3M makes a rivet brush RBA-3. When you apply the heat, your wrap should conform around the rivet. Hope that helps!
very good video i have a 2019 stabicraft 2500 can wrap ?
If it's slick, it will stick!

Thank you and I appreciate your time.
Check out Raptor, they can give you a quote if you bring your boat to them.
Nice!
What the name to get the wrapa
An estimate on how long those wraps last on an aluminum boat? And what do they do? Start peeling? I appreciate the response thank you very much
I'd estimate 3-5 years, before you see any peeling. Possibly longer depending on how much you take the boat out.
@@BentRodBassin Thank you Sir for the response.
I have same 14' jon boat.. So what are the dimensions on this wrap ? Thanks..n gt8 job on ur work !! Top notch bro *****
We went with a 15' x 30" for maneuverability!
Raptor 10 , ten ?
How much would you charge to install a wrap on a 14ft Jon boat
If your in North Arkansas you should check out Raptor!
WHY NOT PUT 3M PRIMER ALL OVER THE SIDE?
You have to use it sparingly, it's a very strong adhesive promoter.
How much would something like that cost
Probably around 1k 🤑
What are your thoughts on knifeless tape instead of using a blade to trim?
Knifless tape is an essential tool for wrapping, I try to use it as much as possible to protect soft surfaces.
PRICE OF WRAP ITSELF, I HAVE THE SAME SIZE BOAT?
If your in the Rogers area give Raptor a call, see what they can do 👍👍
Hey man I like your video an I have a bout that I would pay your to do for me. I have a 2010 sea ray 195 sport
Definitely can do it, check out Raptor Wraps in Rogers!
I got a 100 dollars if you want to wrap my boat lol hahaha. It does look sick but I can’t afford a wrap!
Haha thanks man!!! Ya wraps can get pricey but they look badassss!
Yeah they look good for sure. The last one we put on the big boat was crazy expensive. I don’t have the cash for that lol I am painting my boat.
Cant go wrong with paint! 👍
I found some lime green lol
Hey some hot lime green works!!! Rattle can it!
Why the hideous wraps that look like crayons were consumed and vomited?
