Thanks! Nice Bass! Happy holidays! 🌞🎅🏻🎉🎉🎉🎉
thank you happy holidays!
Nice bass. I love that classic orange color
it's great right!
Cool bass and review. One quick nerd comment … Glory of Man goes up a full step from B to C# in the verse. Though since I’m not always a nit picky dork, I’ll point out that I learned Joe McCarthy’s Ghost from your v.2 review, so thanks for that.
Haha it's all good! I realized this after listening to the original and looking more into live performances where I could see Mike's hands. The one I was studying at the time of this video had him missing the low C# and hitting C instead (must've been a bad night for his hands dexterity), so I copied that and followed the pattern like how it moved elsewhere in the song. But, after hearing the OG studio and seeing other performances, it is indeed C#. Glad I could help with Joe McCarthy's Ghost!
I was in Hieghts Guitars yesterday and played a Wattplower that looked just like that. played amazing. but i think the green on the mkII is the best option. great videos
You played the exact bass featured in this review! Get the green while you can - it's getting discontinued. There is a green version of this MKI that has been discontinued for a few years that you can sometimes find used. Thank you!
Interested to know your Empress Comp settings for the fingerstyle Wattplower reviews, if you recall them. Are you EQing mostly on your mixer too?
Not a clue on the settings; nothing drastic (4:1 ratio). Light evening out.
No EQ on mixer. All EQ on the Origin SV.
tone is in the price tag
Are you my Sweetwater rep
Hi, how would this work for funk or RnB, soul bass? or like Khranugbin or psycherock sound?
Throw a set of labella flats on it and you'll have soul and funk for days.
Do you think a P bass works well for those? If so, then this'll be just fine.
@@MrBrawl for fingerstyle funk and soul labellas are the biz. They have a great fundamental and a woody midrange character that really work well with a precision. If you slap I'd say chromes would be decent all arounders, or brighter tapewound strings like white tapes. I just don't really dig rounds unless they're nickels and dead as hell haha
They are cool basses but the price is a bit steep.
I don't think so at all. You're getting a professional level instrument for less than what something similar would cost from anyone else with much superior quality control and support from a small business.
@@MrBrawl you are right actually. I forgot they weren't a huge outfit producing tons of guitars a year. I suppose with the quality and inflation they are well worth the price tag.
