Druryoutdoors, when I watched this film, you got my heart pumping pretty hard and I love that, I love this story and you deserve that amazing trophy on your wall! Pretty inspired.
Awesome awesome hunt, i had a 4 year quest for a buck here in Wisconsin that ended last season, it ended up a neighbor harvested him during gun season. Gotta love stories like these though. Its what whitetail hunting is all about.
Awesome story. Awesome Harvest. Longest quest I have been on for a single deer is 3 years. We call him the Shifty buck. Believe he is 9.5 this year if he is still alive. 2 years ago he was shot with a muzzleloader in what was supposedly a perfect lung shot. 1 week later we got a trail cam pic of a hole in him and he was doing fine. That february we found his sheds. We have his sheds from the past 3 years and nobody got an encounter with him last year, but we have trail cam pics of him with a 5 inch drop tine. Huge mass all the way through. He always shows up late season each year. Hoping the big boy is still alive this year and my buddy and I could get an encounter with the Southern Illinois Giant!!!
Had a 160-170 inch 11 pointer on camera all of last year hunting season on public land. Last time I had a picture of him was August 8th. Think he's still coming back? Haven't had the camera running for the past week so I couldn't tell if hes back yet. Really hoping to see him when i check cameras this weekend..
My 3rd year on a buck I call the "Poppy Buck", or Monster 6, had one encounter in 2014 and many encounters with him last year, just couldn't seal the deal, last year I brought my little brother out for a morning bow hunt in a double man stand, and come first light Here came old Monster 6 trailing a doe, i grunted and he turned down the hill coming right at us but my brother was to excited to stay still. We're going to try the ground blind this year after Thanksgiving.
4 years chasing a buck i named "broke" every year he broke at least 1 point for 4 years straight, opening morning of missouri rifle season 2015 our neighbor farm owner shot him at 15 yards
Glad you have a tolerant family Jared, after eight years of calling deer by name, pouring over trail cam pics, hunting for sheds, and specific animals my wife had me served with divorce papers, even though I was also the breadwinner.
what do you guys think I should do, hunt with my gun this weekend, or shoot my bow, last year I got a doe with a gun and I kinda want to shoot one with my bow, so I'm kinda undecided
If the season lines up, bring both. taking a deer with a bow is awesome and very rewarding, but if you have limited time in the stand and can't quite get a buck in bow range, it's good to have a contingency plan. stay safe and best luck in the woods this fall!
I spent 11 years trying to kill 1 buck. In 2006, I noticed him. He was 1.5 yrs old. I didn't see him till 2012 when he 7.5. In 2016, I shot him right through the back and he survived. Finally, in 2017, I killed him with a heart shot and the arrow through his back was still there somehow.
this is trophy hunting... which is fine if you care about the deer herd and improve their habitat & nutrition... but i guess im more into being around and appreciating deer more than just shooting big bucks.
CCGG262 dude get over it all that meat is going to good use and if you don’t know it’s a mature 9year old which means he is better off being shot than a 3 year old buck or even doe so what he did i what most hunters would do
awesome hunt and quest but would have been more of a trophy with a bow i'm not trying to say it doesn't take work with a muzzleloader but my kids can shoot a rifle accurately that far it's a lot easier then bow
Jared always puts a great story on his deer love when he has episodes and love DOD by far my favorite!!!

Awesome hunt and storyline! Thanks for allowing us to join the adventure......what an accomplishment!
Man I love your vids I'm 15 and haven't shot my first buck yet.. you're guys land looks amazing
Thanks William, best luck in your hunts for the remainder of this season and in seasons to come!
Have you got one yet
God bless you Jared. First and foremost you look like a great family man. God ha truly blessed you. And Matt good luck with the new born coming.

Congratulations! I have a buck that I have been trying to get since 2014! One day...
ghostofmars83 you get him yet?
Great buck, love watching your guys videos!!
Nice harvest. Way to go
At 13:28 the deer behind Klondike is bigger
Will Belford looks can be deceiving. that buck in the back isn't as old as Klondike. Klondike has a much bigger body causing him to look smaller
And its not always about a rack hes been hunting him for a while so
Will Belford it is not
Ya lol
O yeah
And I'm a big fan of you guys UA-cam channel

You've got an awesome story! Good luck this year, hope you're able to write the final chapter!
Great video. Wish you could have waited for the deer to clear from behind it. Glad you finally got him.
Nice video!
I love hunting pics

“Is he heavy?” Henry-“no”

I'm on the longest quest for a buck I've ever been on (3 years)... The buck is 6-8 years old.
Good luck Jimmy. Let us know if you make the harvest!
well did you get him
He has spent twelve years between klondike and hightower
Where we hunt we have Klondikes brother but he's a 190 buck and how old do deer get
love these freakin videos keep it up "DOD" just wish i could kill the 8point i missed last year
The longest I had was about a month and I drilled him from about 200 yards away
4 years chasing a buck i named "broke" every year he broke at least 1 point for 4 years straight, opening morning of missouri rifle season 2015 our neighbor farm owner shot him at 15 yards
That sucks
Longest ive hunter for a buck was 3 years. A buck my mom called alfonzo and I dropped him a few Saturdays ago.
What age did he reach his peak? It looks like he dropped off a little the last 2 years. Still a great deer though.
Well a day before my birthday you harvested this deer
Love DOD but don't like the reenacted stuff in the blind ... but good lord that was a monster
BEAUTIFUL BUCK
It's amazing what he grew up to be!
I'm am a 17 boy who shot a gaint whitetail in Tennessee I love watching your video my deer look almost like high tower 189 and 5/8 was his score
Optic SnowWolf 17 and can't spell giant right... lol
Glad you have a tolerant family Jared, after eight years of calling deer by name, pouring over trail cam pics, hunting for sheds, and specific animals my wife had me served with divorce papers, even though I was also the breadwinner.
jon dingee I'm sorry to hear that.
180 as a basic 8? Or is that what he scored in 2012?
what do you guys think I should do, hunt with my gun this weekend, or shoot my bow, last year I got a doe with a gun and I kinda want to shoot one with my bow, so I'm kinda undecided
Caleb Fisher bring both
If the season lines up, bring both. taking a deer with a bow is awesome and very rewarding, but if you have limited time in the stand and can't quite get a buck in bow range, it's good to have a contingency plan. stay safe and best luck in the woods this fall!
thanks I think that's what I'll do
If u look at the footage closer at when they shot he hit tho doe in the back
I have been on a chase for 5 years for a big buck with my 243
Klondike was probably bigger than High tower
7 years and he was a 16 point in Mississippi
The buck blew a cloud at 15:56
Persistance, Congratulations.
Absolutely! It pays off!
Im 11 and been hunting since i was six and never even killed a doe or buck one day i will tho
Going on 5 years
3 years and I got him
i call my family when its time to drag the deer out
I'm on a 20 year quest LOL I haven't even seen a legal buck in range since PA put antler restrictions on them.
yikes! tough break Dan. hopefully luck is on your side this season. let us know if anything happens.
I am on a 2 year hunt
You see the buck behind Klondike when he shoot him he's bigger then him. 13:23
It is just weird to me that he doesn't have buck fever. You can tell when people hunt for money compared to people that don't.
Nice
it took 1 hour and he went down in Not even a second

For me if its brown its down

Is Jared wearing a hospital gown???
my aunt shot a 14 point after 4 years
been on a quest for a 6 or 7 yr old buck named muley...170-180 unfortunately he got poached by a road hunter ain't right ruining a person's dream buck
I have killed 3 bucks a 10,9 and 8 pointer and I am 12
5 years for a buck I called pure bread
1 day
2 mouths last day of youth hunt
He hit a doe behind him... smh, please check shot backgrounds next time man
We shoot the does because that is all we see
Can you please
nov 6 2014 i shot my 9 point
Brant Scharbor December 11 2016 shot my first ever buck HUGE 10 186 inch
The Amish killed mine
robert halvin at least it won’t go to waste
Guess what
Why's it always end up being a gun kill. With 20-30 cameras. Cmon man you gotta take these deer with a bow. My god
kidbowjb It's extremely difficult.
Libtards R Cancer you are right kill a buck that old is harder to get with a bow cause they are alot smarter the a 3 1/2 year old
11 threw 15 is 4 not 5
Fishing Forever actually, 11 is 1, 12 is 2, 13 is 3, 14 is 4, and 15 is 5. so it had been 5 years
Good for you if chased a deer for 5 years
