  • Bucktober follows a hot doe straight in towards the blind Mark and Wade are sitting in. Great footage of this giant and all 211 4/8" of antler.

    I saw this for the first time this evening. I saw the original but had never seen the cutting room floor version. I forget sometimes that the “celebrities” are actual passionate deer hunters. To see the shaking fingers trying to work the cell phone and to hear the excitement of the recollection of the shot was just a joy. I know it’s been years since but congratulations on a beautiful shot, and a beautiful story on a truly magnificent animal.

    Super Buck Mark! A few haters comments on here obviously don't know the history of the Drury Brothers. Years and years of hard work, making videos on public ground until you two got enough money together to buy your own farms in Missouri and Iowa. I grew up
    watching your videos and own nearly all of the older ones you all made. Don't pay attention to the haters comments, you and Terry have
    nothing to be ashamed of and I can only dream of getting a shot at a buck of that caliber. I could see the emotion after the shot and that's a feeling that true deer hunters know it shows how much you love what you do. Keep up the good work, love the videos.

    Greatest hunting videos and the greatest hunting family in the world. The Drurys are true examples of hunting at its absolute finest. The family values, fair chase, respect for the animal and sport. Very inspirational. I love my parents but everyday i wish that they were friends of the Drurys. I could watch DOD all day. Learn something new every video. I know you guys are too busy prepping for the upcoming season to read UA-cam comments, but if by chance I'd love to thank you guys for the excellence in your work. Lots of great hunting channels but Drury outdoors has akways taken the cake. Thank you for being genuine deer hunters and sharing with your many fans. mathematically yes it is. The B&C scoring system is broken only into in 1/8" increments for scoring consistency. sometimes a record can be broken with a single 1/8 of an inch. Where 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 would be proper fractions, the B&C system scores them as 2/8", 4/8" and 6/8" respectively.

      short answer, yes... you can kill a whitetail with at least 40 lbs of draw weight. If you want to work your way up the scale and 42lbs works for you now, start there, get comfortable, and build from it to develop your power and precision. you never want to start over-bowed. if you want to venture into larger game like moose or elk, you'll need at least 50 lbs of draw weight.

      How do they ruin hunting for average guys? When does one accept being an average guy and give up on being something great? Asking for a freind!

    • @russelllangworthy8855

      @@patrickflorine9211 Well, let your "friend" know that deer hunting has become a business. The outfitters and video production companies buy up or lease all the good hunting ground. When I was a kid, my grandfather would take me hunting and all we had to do was ask permission and we could hunt. Nowadays, landowners only see dollar signs instead of the generosity of decades of the past. Companies like the Drury's are making millions off of hunting and the average guys can't access decent land.

      Russell Langworthy sounds like your just bitching about your own life and how shitty it has turned out because you suck at deer hunting. Go buy a bunch of your own land and do the same thing if your so angry about it. I am just an average guy and have managed to harvest “150 plus inch dear for many years now. Check out these guys UA-cam channel. Hunting Public! These guys hunt and public land and prove your theory of how hunting has been destroyed by the Drurys and others like them. It’s a free country jag off, if you don’t like it don’t watch or support em. Easier to bitch in the comment section I guess.

Thanks for the insults and name calling. You could have replied politely and we could have had a civil conversation, but you chose to attack me. Not sure why. Because I offered my opinion on the way I see things after 60 yrs? I'm sorry you have such a chip on your shoulder. It didn't have to be this way.

    Isn't 4/8" a half inch? 1/2

    • @DruryOutdoors
      @DruryOutdoors  6 років тому

      mathematically yes. We are using the official B&C scale that logs everything in 1/8th" increments. Even though 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 would be appropriate fractions, they are still measured as 2/8, 4/8, and 6/8 respectively.
