"The original fender tag is at home in a safe." That's like leaving the cash in the garage and putting the wallet in the safe, I'd be more worried about the car being stolen than the fender tag. It's funny what you can find overseas. I live in Japan, and a guy in the neighborhood has a Plum Crazy '71 440 6 Pack Challenger R/T. I haven't asked if he would be interested in selling it, but it would probably sell much more cheaply in Japan than it would in America nowadays.

Canada turned to Metric in 1978......Also Mexican cars had Metric odometers...I bought a old Dart that was made in Mexico (for the Mexican market they were not sold in the U.S) and it had the odometer in metric, I changed it and threw out the metric odometer(this was years ago) Lucky you, The dolt Trudeau did turn Canada into Metric system (he jumped the gun as the States were going to as well, but found out it was too expensive to convert for the comanies), now you voted his son it..and he said by 2050 they will be off of Fossil Fuels...So all Canadian cars will go to the States as Canadians will be walking by then ! Unless you are smart and vote him out in 3 years, shame on you lol..
01trsmar Um I only just turned 18 last month.... We should be not using Fossil Fuels as our main source of energy, it's killing our atmosphere! You can't live without air for about 5 minutes. Should we still maybe produce gasoline on a limited basis for us old car enthusiast HELL YES! Or at lest something that works like gasoline.
The owner of this car, must know Mr. Wiemann. Wiemann is the Hemicuda collector that told me about the "Orange" 71 Hemicuda convertible, that his fellow collectors all seemed to want. When he said it was "orange", I think he meant EV2 Tor Red (Orange-Red), with an orange interior and white billboards. That was apparently the "grail" car then, though that was over 10 years ago.. He had the other France export car, the Sno White convertible, at the time.

@@loucostabile thanks, my dad bought a 71' Mach 1 351c 4spd for me if I graduated high school. I told dad I planned on graduating anyway. That's why the red cuda' would pass & rev his auto 340 passing the house. The Mach 1 was a dark yellow black trim Hurst shifter that's what I learned to drive with dad out in the country. So at one time I had a cuda'& Mach 1but I never had them parked together.

It was a dream car the color was like a electric blue 💙 with black from factory roll bar $3000!!! He went & got a 69' 351 gt 350. Jade green.

I had a ‘72 back in the day. Not a Hemi of course, and a bit detuned from the prior year, but still an incredible ride. Even with my detuned 340 and 727 slap-stick it was a total blast. The only mods I added were 15 inch Cragar S/S wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires in GR 60 on all four corners. She handled like she was on rails. In B5 blue with black vinyl top (and black interior) and the rally cluster, she was a true beauty. Traded it in the summer of ‘76 for a new Sport Fury with A/C. Washed her daily and detailed weekly. Still can’t understand how I didn’t realize I could have kept her and put her away instead of letting her go for just $900 in trade value. Stupid.
Just remembered... also added air shocks on rear to give about an inch and a half lift for the bigger wheels and tires. Also a good set of traction bars on the rear to hook up better, and tightened the torsion bars a bit. That was it. Cornered like a true race car.

i don't think its the same car, that one was blue. just as rare. i guess you wouldn't pay big bucks for a van gogh or michelangelo either.
No idea.
Seems to either have a leftover 70 hood or a repop. 71 had a crumble zone (in the frame of the hood).

Not only is this car perfect. Its worth a shit ton of money! Lol!
Glad to share the "perfect" car with you :-)
They gonna sell it in a few days............4 - 5 million.!!!!???
We'll see :-)
Who owns the black one with the Chrome?
No idea.
Nice!
+69 Mopar Agreed, Thanks for viewing, Lou
in my opinion, Challengers these model years looks better than todays Challengers in my book. this "Cuda" is tha 1!!
I agree with you, it's a great looking car. Lou
@silverbird58 knock it off
"The original fender tag is at home in a safe." That's like leaving the cash in the garage and putting the wallet in the safe, I'd be more worried about the car being stolen than the fender tag.
Hi JP Guthrie, Thank you for viewing and sharing. Happy to read you're enjoying the cars and please share with your friends in Japan, Lou

Hi Lou, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this car :-) Not sure what value this car would have, Lou

Hey nice video.
Thank you :-)
Can I please have? Because am in Canada, this thing would be great since we use metric!
+KB_TheDireWolf LOL, save your money, and I hope you get yours :-), take care, Lou
Or at lest something that works like gasoline.
stephen dwyer I have no idea wtf you mean....
Is this the car that sold at mecum?
No, that one was Blue inside and didn't have the center console or power windows .
No idea.
I can only think of one color that could be as nice, that goes real well with black, and that is '87 BMW Arctic Blue.
Hi Ray Brensike, Glad you enjoyed the color of this one :-) Thanks for sharing another color you like too, Lou
Komet163B orange-red like the general lee orange-red?

I like the appreciation for something Made in U.S.A. Detroit, Michigan. Will we see Chinese made cars sell for $3.5 million at auction?
Happy to read you appreciate this car :-)
One of these sold for 3.5 mill latley
Hi Dave Rob, Here is the ride video if you'd like to see it. Enjoy! Lou ua-cam.com/video/JmnLzjQZTHw/v-deo.html
Less yack and more car guys
Hi Karan, Right to the centerfold :-) Stay well, Lou
Even with a dogged-out 318 Barracuda convertible, it would still be like $30G's.
Thank you for sharing.
Very similar to the one that sold at Mecum auction for $3.5 million......
Not sure.
Is this the same guy that owns the black hemi Daytona
Yes
And that's how a 3.5 million dollars cars engine sounds like
:-)
My uncle had a barracuda with a six pack on it
Hi Demetrius Bennett, Happy to read this video brings back memories of your Uncles Barracuda :-) Lou

Back during the 70s American muscle cars were abtanible, not so today. A boy from my school had a Red 71' cuda' 340 viynl top black.
Glad to read this one brings back memories from the Boy in School with the Red 71 Cuda :-) Lou
@@loucostabile Lou a boy at school got called out because he had a 69' 428 Shelby GT 500 convertible the kids at school said it was a girly car being convertible so he had it for sale $3000. I ran home told my mom sell that Camaro for the Shelby with the roll bar in it for $3000. She said no. It was a dream car the color was like a electric blue 💙 with black from factory roll bar $3000!!! He went & got a 69' 351 gt 350. Jade green.
My dad worked at a car plant that sent parts to Michigan. The lot he got my Mach 1 had parked next to my Mach was a 70' Challenger T/A 340 six pack dark green with a flat black hood & special hood scoop flared exhaust.
@@gerald4133 wtf is he highly advanced intelligent boy who cares if other people say is a girly car why not a pink panther challenger
Just cuda not barrcuda.
Agreed, Putting Barracuda in the title helps some Viewers find the car because of SEO (search engine optimization), Lou
Well it says barracuda on the dash......
The most valuable 71 cuda of all ?

Hi c5back9, Good times :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing details on yours, Lou
Boing!
Be careful with that stick shift :-)
