Hi Mike, just to update you, the weather in Scotland has been the normal wintery affair, and so far the rear window is holding up and not leaking as well as defrosting again. Do you find your car boot can get a bit musty in the cold months?
Great & informative video, u have saved my £ loads & again Thanks 4 heads up. Only issue is. Why do u operate the roof, without starting up? Causing drain on battery..
Excellent presentation, my demise is faulty so this was great. I also get terrible condensation at this time of the year, which must be a fault in the air circulation system. Do you have this experience?
Thanks Tony, The AC on the SL is quite complex, does it get cold in the summer? If so then it should be okay or may need a re-charge. I tip is to leave the AC on all the time, as when not used, the seals can dry out and cause the air to leak. I have to park my SL outside, so yes I get condensation, but it clears fast. Check your carpets front and back for dampness, I have done videos on how to get a tighter seal on the roof. Importantly check your boot under spare wheel, make sure there is no leaks, I find it can get a little musty this time of year.
@@GrooveOn Many thanks for the advice. My AC is poor even in Summer so it cannot help with demisting; I need to get it checked out. The boot is OK after I cleaned the seals and also the drain holes, but still a little water today. Will check carpets as well. Keep up the good work!
Yep that's the first video I've seen on here on how to do that - I'm sure there will be a few who will take on this on job based on this - Thanks!
Thanks Mike as always ! I really do hope it helps others ! how is your Merc going?

You should be able to operate roof without starting car. If you can't then your rear battery may need changing
@GrooveOn Fair comment, been told lol. Thank you again 4 some excellent, detailed quality videos.
Thanks for the kind words, it keeps me making the content
