Blue October is the best. My favorite band I saw them live last year for my birthday it was the best day ever
I'm not going to lie... I got tears in my eyes the moment the song started. Anytime I listen to Blue October I break down and think about the only woman I've ever loved. The mother of my child who I lost December of 19. We used to sit in bed and listen to them all the time. They were one of her favorite bands and two months after she passed, I saw they were coming to my hometown on Father's day. I bought my son and I tickets for the show but unfortunately with the pandemic hitting, they cancelled the show.
Sorry for your loss brother 🙏. I've seen them several times, and I missed seeing them with my teenage son in 2021 due to cancellation, but we caught them when they came again a few months ago. If I had to make a soundtrack for my own emotional journey of the past few years, their music would be an integral part of it. Without knowing anything about you, I guess I still feel like you and he will have another chance, or at least I hope you will.

You really should do a reaction to the Live version of Fear. That is probably one of the most passionate songs. Justin wears his heart on his sleeve and allows his vulnerabilities out there. He is in a so much better place now but has an appreciation for what he has been though. Their music is therapy.
All I can say is yessss he definitely sings from his heart. That's why I love going to his concerts because it's 1000 times worth it. They are definitely a underrated band. And I have to agree with everyone on doing a reaction video on the song Fear you won't be disappointed.

I frigging love this reaction video! Your eyes when Justin first started singing said it alllll. Welcome to the Blue Family my dude. I recommend you get the book "crazy making" its a book of his lyrics with notes. He has the most incredible ability to put into words what so many of us feel like he wrote it for you personally. And go to a show and no lie you'll ball your eyes out the whole time. Justin saved my life in early recovery and still does.

I’ve seen blue October live 3 times and they have continued to be one of my favorite bands for 15+ years, and I genuinely think that justin is one of the best lyricists in the past 20 years. His melodies are haunting, his anger (in his older music) is infectious. You can feel EVERY word he writes. I highly recommend doing more from them. I’d start with their older music. Anything from Consent to Treatment or Foiled would be a good place to start

I was there the night this was recorded, the DVD concert is called "things we do at night". Not only the best concert I've ever been to but one of the greatest nights of my life..
Justin Furstenfeld is so passionate. He went thru this. His first marriage and struggling to see his daughter Blue. HATE ME shows some of his struggles too. His big brother Jeremy is the drummer and fun fact he didn't know how to play Drums but learned cause they needed a drummer. The violinist is Ryan Delahoussaye and went to high school with Justin in Houston. The band started in 1995. Justin has 9.5 yrs clean. Ill link a few little clips you enjoy about them. I think this is the first time I've heard this band. I looked up info about them and none of the songs sound familiar. Great suggestion and hope you do more reactions from them. I also saw that they are touring this summer with the Goo Goo Dolls, who I know about, and you haven't reacted to. Some of the Goo Goo Dolls songs: Slide, Iris, Black Balloon, and more.
Blue October is a amazing group and very underrated.Justin writes all the music and if you start from there first album to now,you can see what he was gone through.i can’t think of any singer that sings with so much emotion and makes you feel what he is going through.he has battled addiction,depression much of his life.he found his higher power and has such a beautiful testimony and story of redemption.he made a documentary called Get Back Up that tells his and the bands history.its very powerful.if you really want to understand him and there music,you need to watch it.
The song Fear live from Texas is one of the best performances you will ever see.

Fear. Check this out. You think you feel this song, try watching that video. He absolutely sucks you into his story in his songs. Far and away my favorite live artist. His onstage performances I dare say is unrivaled. Amazing performer. Amazing recovery from his addiction. I was at the show that his daughter he was singing about first saw him perform at. Chills.
I've watched your reaction a couple of different times and I enjoy it each time. I hope you were able to go see them in concert by now. I went a couple of months ago and going again in a couple of weeks. They never disappoint!!

Justin has been sober for almost ten years now so he has won his battles, but he is so open and raw with his honesty in hopes that it helps someone. He sings with his whole body and soul. I've had the fortune to see him live, and it's INTENSE
That's not to say that it's not still a struggle. His addiction and mental health is a daily battle. But he's winning
I think he's fallen off recently. Based on the difference in his persona at the shows in the last few months. We're all here. I hope he remembers that.

Listen to the album The Answers to go back to the year after high school graduation. Then Consent to Treatment as we grow through the motions of adolescence. Now they write of family and adulthood.

This is a powerful song but to be honest they all are if you can relate. I was in a relationship and I screwed it up.. I really didn’t mean to and I’ve still sacrificed and did so much for her but at the time when it was really needed I failed.
Need to check out Hate Me and Fear by them.
