Nice video and a great location, the "bums" at the Grand Canyon Railroad are known as Xantera Corp. As of Labor Day 2008 they had effectively KILLED all steam operation on the GCRY. Was hopping to see this event repeated time and time again but no. Glad you were there to get it for the rest of us!
Nice! the second engine was ATSF 3751. It ran to San Diego from Los angeles, CA last weekend. Now it's running this saturday and sunday between Los Angeles and San Bernardino, CA.
If 29 was operational when 3751 returned a decade later in 2012 then we might of gotten a chance to see another triple header on the grand canyon railway
they aren't polluting crap, steam engines are beautiful and are meant to smoke.and who planned it was the NRHS so if you think they are harming the earth you steam hater then why don't you call them and tell to stop having their wonderful steam conventions . so good luck not.

This train was a doubleheader. But the title tripleheader counts as this was prior to 18 being coupled to the train forming a tripleheader.

yes it was and if you look closely you will see smoke from 3751's smokestack

i only see 2 steam engines if it's a triple header wheres the 3rd steam engine? 2 steam engines are a dubble header but still awsome
