Hey, I am doing this now and going step-by-step following your original vid. Except I just glued three 8' x 11.5 " x 3/4 " boards together, then the two short ones to make the "L", without the clever drilling that you did. Today I finish sanding prior to the polyurethane application. I hope this works out but if not I still learned a lot. Thank you so, so much for your detailed vid and then the two retrospective vid follow-ups!
Love the pine countertops, I have my own sawmill and plenty of pine slabs. Think I will give it a try.
Absolutely gorgeous!

What color are your cabinets? This kitchen is beautiful!
they called them "shaker grey"
just wondering what diameter drill bit you used for the threaded rods and what size opening for the nut at the end thanks great job
Was 3/8" threaded rod. I think 7/8" to clear the washers. But I would size accordingly to your hardware.
Amazing! Just wondering if you sanded after the burn before applying stain
No. Sanded first, burned, stained, clear ploy.
@@SpiralDesignWorks oh ok thanks it looks fantastic
Was it poly or spar urethane?
What finishes did you use to seal it?
water base polyurethane. Watch my first video on making them I go through the materials.
@@SpiralDesignWorksis the water based poly food safe?
Hey I'm not sure how to get this message to you. But your WJ window hatch design was stolen by a company called Affordable Offroad.
I have seen that.
