I have 70 percent for anxiety and I have diagnosed in military and in my record on va , can I claim the insomia as secoto my anxiety? Thanks
Hi sir you will want to discuss this with a legal professional. Thank you for watching
Retired 14 years. If I submit a claim for Tinnitus, will the VA reexam all of my other rated disabilities? thanks for any response.
Hi sir that is a tough question and really one that is beat suited for a legal professional. Sorry about that but thank you for watching!!
I have tinnitus that brings on migraines VA giving me meds for the migraines. Question can you have insomnia and sleep apnea.
Yes a person can have both
I have that diagnosis (insomnia), but which of my service connections is a higher probability to connect as secondary?
Service connections are lower back pain w sciatica, tinnitus, or mixed headaches?
When I write reports that have several contributing factors I include them all as it is more accurate rather than choosing one over another. I hope this clarifies
how is insomnia diagnosed?
Usually by a health care provider like a doctor, PA, nurse practitioner, or Psychologist. They may use diagnostic criteria or do it based upon their clinical assessment which may or may not include lab work or other diagnostics. I hope this clarifies and thank you very much for watching!
I was diagnosed with tinnitus 12 years ago and i haven't had a full nights sleep in over 45 years. I complain about it and they have gave mertazipin for sleep. Even with the drugs i sleep maybe the most 4 hours a night and am drowsy all day
The script says for mood. I think they are just covering their ass and wont call it insomnia. I also have sleep apnea and was told unless i was diagnosed in service i couldn't fie. They didn't even know about sleep apnea back then
I’m very sorry to hear this sir. Thank you for watching
Does it take a doctor outside the VA to diagnose insomnia?
Many VA doctors diagnose Insomnia. Sorry you seem to be having difficulty
Insomnia is mow being looked by VA as an independent rating of either MH or Respiratory.
Jan 2024 VA discussions so it'll be ~two years before fruitition.
But 100% MH 100% Respiratory 100% Insomnia may become reality.
Thank you for watching my friend and for your insight =-)
So, if I'm diagnois with sleep apnea, then my claim for insomnia secondary to tnnitus maybe denied?
I do not know why that would happen specifically. You can certainly follow up with a legal professional for more guidance on your case specifics.
