    Qqq, hey Bob why would there be debris when the hydraulic system is sealed ? Typically how frequently hour wise would you need to replace the filter? You are a great ambassador for Wolferidge. Chris is lucky to have you.
    Thx Woody !!!

      The debris can be from inside that sealed system. It's also possible for dirt to enter through a cylinder seal. And yes, Bob is doing great! Thanks! Chris

    Awesome video bob, can you add a snapshot of splitter S/N 3597 in one of your future videos, it’s back from powder coat, even if you want to test it out for a video or something!

    Bob, can you tell us what hydraulic oil and weight our splitters are filled with? I have a 2023 28 Pro. Also, it was good meeting the Wolfe Ridge team at the Paul Bunyan Show this year!!

    • @BacktoBob1
      @BacktoBob1 2 місяці тому

      Hi Billy! Any quality hydraulic oil - AW 46 is what we fill it with at the factory.

    • @OgleBilly

      @@BacktoBob1 Thanks for the info Bob! Being an Amzor dealer, I will probably use AW 46 from Amsoil then. They have an industrial AW 32 that is a little thinner viscosity that I may try as well. Again, brother, thank you so much for your speedy reply!

    Great job Bob. This will be very helpful when changing the filter. I have a 17VS-C. I never received any owners manual. What is recommended for 1st hydralic filter change in hours. How often after that. Thanks for putting this info out there. What is the price tag for the 17vs Electric unit?

    • @BacktoBob1
      @BacktoBob1 5 місяців тому

      Send us an email and we can send you a copy of the manual - sales@wolferidgemfg.com. 500 hours for filter, 1,000 for hydraulic oil.

    I take it, it's a very rare or nonexistent thing, for someone to be interested in haveing a splitter filled with,
    ATF or synthetic ATF.
    It's considered an alternative to 10w hyd oil, as it's also 10w.

    • @WolfeRidge
      @WolfeRidge  5 місяців тому

      This is common for operating in super cold weather

    Hey Bob,
    How about draining the tank!
    Is there a valve to remove the hydro oil or does one just remove one of the hoses?
    Thx

    • @WolfeRidge
      @WolfeRidge  5 місяців тому

      There's a drain plug on all of our tanks. Thanks!

    Hello Bob, I have a pro 28C with no oil cooler what high temperature should you never operate the machine at? No one said how hot is too hot to operate it

    Does the hydraulic oil need to be completely emptied and changed? If so, at what interval? The oil seems to look pretty clear. Thanks Bob.

      1000 hours recommended for hydraulic oil replacement unless it gets contaminated earlier. Thanks Obey!
