made it. had access to less ingredients so here's how i made it: chicken thighs chopped into cubes used some old kiefer and hot sauce for the brine. for the flouring i used, white flour, a lot of salt, a lot of pepper, and paprika. fried in canola oil till golden brown. result: really good, but there could have been less paprika, and i think breasts fit the role better than thighs. so if you make it be careful on that. i hope i am able to make it again in the future with better ingredients. 8.5/10 tastes reasonably close to KFC, and I'm sure it could be almost identical if you're a better chef than i am. medium sized mess in the kitchen, took about 30 mins to clean up. i definitely recommend to anyone who's decent at cooking attempting to get a KFC taste at home, since there aren't a lot of ways to screw up, and you could probably master this meal in 1 or 2 tries. hope this helps!

I worked at KFC for 13 years as a GM/ District trainer. I helped roll out Popcorn Chicken originally back in the 90’s. It started out as dark meat in very thin strips, about pinky size. Over the next few years was switched to white meat. I can’t wait to eat at your Not Not Tacos in August for my birthday!!! Hope your there to share restaurant war stories!!

I believe it is the camera framerate. The chicken falls faster than the frames per second, so in between frames it appears to have disappeared.
