Southerner here, the best fried chicken hangs out for bout 12-24 hrs in a seasoned buttermilk bath or brined in dill pickle juice. The dredge needs a dash of baking powder for crispiness as well as a pinch of sugar. Trust me. Also, the only good Popeye's sauce is Mardigars mustard.
Stop eating / drinking anything with sugar in it and cut your calorie intake in half. That or try 0 carb diet and only eat meat and cheese for a month or two and you’ll lose a fuck ton. I went from 220 down to 190 in 2 weeks.
My favorite part is how he just honestly said they both were good. A lot of times we are made to believe the fancy version of something is better. HE WAS HONEST, THEY BOTH SLAPPED HARD
Yes. This is how I make my cornbread! Edit: Let me explain. 1 and half cups cornmeal, half cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon salt. In a different bowl: 2 whipped eggs, 1 Cup buttermilk, 1/3 oil, 1 stIck ( or half a cup) melted and cooled butter/ margarine, 3 tablespoons honey. Preheat a cast iron skillet for 10 minutes lined with 3 tablespoons butter for at least 10 minutes, (do not over stir the mixture) let bake for 28-33 minutes. This is the best sweet moist cornbread I have ever made.
