Well we have had Julia and Richard , Dave and Richard, Mark and Richard and many others . We have now another great duo Robert and Richard. Loved the caves and the colour and texture. The river was great too. Look forward to the next one.
Well Richard back in Gods country with Robert great. I’m especially interested in the old mine railway as my house backs on to a old coal mine railway and I found some old evidence in my garden when I first moved in.
A peaceful area that must have once been a hive of activity! The mines didn’t close until 1976 according to the net! Thanks for taking us round this wonderful place.
Another lovely video Richard! It's great to get other presenters along with you that have local knowledge. Speaking of knowledge...a "Fishplate" is the flat bars of steel that are used to join lengths of railway line , one on each side of the rail and bolted together. The plate that the rail sits on is called a "Chair plate" or rail chair or base plate...depends on where you are !! Once again thanks for a cracking video ...oh and how do you like the Zoom F1 recorder..?? thinking of a new toy..LOL Cheers Gregg.
Thanks Gregg. I do generally love the F1 Zoom, although recently broke the connector socket leaving the jack in there while moving my bicycle rending the unit useless and had to buy another. I would rather have XLR connectors that domestic mini jacks, but you can't have everything.
@@RichardVobes Well , would you believe I have a Zoom H5 with the X-Y stereo head, which I plug my Rode lav' mic into, but I'm looking for something smaller as the H5 is a bit big to hang off your belt. It does have 2 XLR's but is overkill for one mic? I do like the look of the F1 and you get a good Lav mic with it as well .....more choices...LOL Thanks for the reply Sir. Cheers Gregg.
Well done I did enjoy that, them caves were great. The thing that Robert called a fishplate, is acturly a rail chair, and the thing that you called a rail is a fishplate! Great video 👍
Another great film partnership between Richard and old whatsisname...kidding apart Robert is obviously pretty genned up on his subject, makes a good tale even better, and has a great sense of humour...that's a good team in the making ... more please! Dave
Verb, a word used to describe an action, state or occurrence and forming the main part of the predicate of a sentence, such as walk, speak or vobe. Vobe is a verb that means to explore and share interest and delight. The Latin root of vobe is explorare meaning investigate or search out. When you vobe a new place, you see interesting places, things and artifacts, meet people associated with them and share on a vlog, or vobelog.
Gpypsum - I use that to help ammend my clay soil (it helps break it down). So found this quite interesting!🤔 Loved the caves! Oh to be so rich to have such a folly!😏 Thanks Robert & Richard! Enjoyed the walk - have been anxiously anticipating Crumbia!!!
hi, again, Robert!!! i am really terrible with names. having been part of PC HelpDesk for close to 20 years and training for the last 10 years at work, it seems almost everyone there knows me by name, i get greeted in the hallways and cafe; and i always say "hi" but never dare try guessing their names!!! so don't feel too bad, Richard!
Another nice video. That red stone is used a lot in buildings in that area. A number of old Castles and Abbey's used it. It does get eroded by the weather over time though.
I quite expected you to meet up with some orcs and a balrog,in those mines of Moria like caves! If someone comes and cuts that Banksy away,we will know they heard about it on your vlog,or not!?!
Interesting to see this area again as I haven’t been there since the mine closed. Just a shame you took someone along who really didn’t have a clue what he was talking about. Lots of inaccuracies in the commentary but visually very interesting.
Such a marvellous looking place. Interesting formation of rock at the caves. I didn't like the look of the narrow path!😜 you're such a dare devil these days Richard!...
Nice to see some caves that haven't, so far, be vandalised by spray can idiots. Think you need a good camera light for venturing into them though. Thanks Richard and...er...that chap...whats-his-name :-)
Well worth the wait too! A splendid start to Cumbria #2. I love the colour of the local rocks, great caves too. Top man Mr Croser.
Thank you Nigel - glad you enjoyed our first romp.

So pleased you enjoyed it - it is great to get others involved in the videos. Love a bit of variety. Thanks Ann.
Mr.Croser comes prepared like Mr. Greatplumb......both are most enjoyable viewing.
I agree, both are marvelous hosts for my little explorations.
Beautiful area !!!
Very lovely up there.

I think Robert mentioned he even remembered them in operation. All quiet now.

So pleased you are enjoying the videos Dave. Thanks as ever for the comments.
Great video Gents the caves are very intriguing.
They were fascinating - I do like a good cave>
It was a wonderful stroll.. !!
Thanks very much
I've heard many good things about the North of England. For instance: Northerners reside there.
Great video, thank you for sharing!
It is quite lovely up north.

I think there are nine Cumbrian videos - I haven't got around to editing them all yet!
@@RichardVobes been wondering when they were coming! Can't wait!!!!

Lovely quiet peaceful area, I bet not many people know about those wonderful caves.
They are fabulous to visit and a wonder in their construction.
The mine closed in 1971 & the pumps taken out in 1984 - by me
Well done you! Thanks for watching.

They use similar quarried red sandstone in Shropshire area too. It's lovely to see, but as you say, weathers badly.

Hahahah - yes, it might crumble if they try to cut it away!
I guess Im pretty randomly asking but does anyone know a good site to stream new movies online?
@Keegan Julian i use FlixZone. Just search on google for it =)

Thank you for watching - naturally I am reliant on the folk who take me to places to know what they are talking about! :)
That thingy is rail chair, attached to the sleeper and supports and locates the rail.
Thanks very much fro the info.

One has to try! :) Thanks for watching.

Yes, next time I will take a camera light! :)
