Ya, the idea of para-social is fearful when folks can’t separate the illusions of the persona and real the individual. But also, the idea of be paranoid of stranger is also equally fearful when you have no public present. I guess that is why we have a long linages of survivor. Thank you Charlie Darwin.
That first story was one of the scariest I’ve heard in a long time. It was interesting to note that she mentioned she relaxed and gave personal info to S when she figured he must be well off. I wonder if it’s a cultural thing over there to equate wealth to good morals/manners. I hope younger people still get educated on the importance of maintaining anonymity on the web. I wouldn’t wish an experience like that on anyone. Also cheers to a new year! Thanks for the wonderful stories Tara!
As horrifying as the kodoku ritual was- and what the mother did to her children-, I can't help but feel it could have been avoided if they hadn't treated her like a leper for killing her abusive husband.
If you're interested, there was an extreme case of stalking in Malaysia that went viral last year...the stalker even stalk the person to another country.
@@YG21.03 google Mohamad Safiq Rosli stalking. that guy is a piece oF work. he literally stalk this girl For 10 Freaking years, and nothing can be done because my country doesnt have stalking law. luckily it has changed. better late than never
I've heard the 1st story from other channel just the other day (still gonna listen to Tara's rendition though). I guess the story is newly uploaded to the source.
The "kodoku" ritual stems from "gu" magic in China. You would place a bunch of poisonous bugs in a container together and then wait until there was only one bug left. The final bug having been imbued with the poison and malice from all the other bugs it had fought to the death could be used to cast a terrible curse. Super interesting cross-cultural stuff ^^
I am sorry for skipping the first story. Real life stories scare me more than paranormal and supernatural ones. The reason is that, I, who usually hate people or being around people, would like to keep the notion that there still is good in humanity. Also, I hate it when justice isn't served. most of these stories are like that, and even if the perpetrator was punished, it still leaves a huge, life-long trauma to the victims.
No joke, I actually found a person like this. If you're thinking "no way someone is like that outside of a movie", they actually exist. There was this guy who played "a game", he got mad when he thought I said something. I acted cool and just explained I didn't.. he kept on pushing it and I gave a full logic explanation for him, "I never played this game, I don't have any knowledge about it's details, I have no pride in debating anything on it nor do I have fear of saying it if I did have. I never even watched gameplays about this game like I said before *I only ever interacted about this game because I was being friendly and saw how you value this stuff, casually." No joke, this guy, who I never met before one that acted like a kind person and I knew from very little time just kept on pushing it ending it with a: " look, I know you're lying, you DID say that because I heard you but you could've just said the truth." 💀bi-za-rre, not only he couldn't even picture a possible failure on his part (even if he didn't believe me, a normal person just says "oh alright man, my bad" and keep on observing.) Total ego-maniac really.
The most scary part of story 1 is that I am completely willing to believe it is real. Some people online become truly terrifying.

Ahhhh! I always get so giddy when I see a new Kowabana out! You make my week Tara! Love you and love your content! 🥰
Question: When are you going to upload the Marine version of "Tsugu no Hi"? 😮
