I remember walking around and seeing her missing posters. I took pictures and posted them on Facebook.
Knowing it's a cop is disgusting because they still get seen as doing no wrong.

Why do we still know nothing about this case. When is he due back in court when is he getting sentenced. There’s enough evidence. This dude has been chilling in jail for months, eating sleeping relaxing. Wtf is the hold up. The family still needs answers on How did he murder her, does the autopsy show assault so they can upgrade his charges to r*pe etc.

Because Gwinett County courts are backed up beyond crazy. There are 1 million residents and only 11 judges in Gwinnett and in Georgia they do civil cases (divorce) half the time, and criminal the other half. People that plea of course move quicker but for someone who takes it to trial it could be a year or 2 before it goes to trial. She was naked and exposed to the elements for 6 months. I have been following this case more than most. I live about 2 miles from where they found her and drove over the bridge she was found at probably 100 times in that 6 months. In the summertime, it is a very thick underbrush there. They might not ever know how she died or be able to prove if he r_____ her. The person that found her was not even sure they were human remains at first. It will be hard to get the exact cause of death and if he ra+++++ her. They did find his gun very close to her body if not under it. They have not said if they found a fired bullet around her or not. Gwinnett will show their hand in court and not to the public. I think that Doraville should not be allowed to call him an ex-policeman because when Gwinnett took out a warrant on him, he was still a policeman in Doraville. Unfortunately, the families of victims in cases like this all over the US and world can not really begin to heal in a lot of ways until after the person is sentenced and trials are over. The pain they have to go through during every hearing, or motion, or news article is something that I can not even imagine.

@@justwag9750 thanks for all the information. This is a very sad situation overall, I really hope they can get closure in the coming years.
