The only legit complaint about the end of Saints Falcons imo was scoring from victory formation. ATL-NO _was_ a meaningful game -- the winner clinched the NFC South with a TB loss, and NO had a chance at the #7 seed with losses by GB and SEA. Oddly enough, DEN-LV was also relevant to the playoff picture, despite both teams being eliminated. Basically, there were some convoluted 3-way tiebreaker scenarios involving PIT/BUF/JAX that were potentially affected by the DEN-LV result. (The Week 17 2019 IND-JAX game was a similar case.)
And just a historical footnote from 2022: Brady and other Bucs starters were pulled at halftime in the week 18 game against the Falcons, because they'd already locked up the division the week before. Had they stayed in, there was a reasonable chance that they would've won.
