@@TheSLashera Thats absolutely an issue at the highest edges of meta deck design(though it wavers, and plenty of matchs go fine without handtraps), but there's significantly more expansive design space to work with below that edge, compared to Year 1 YGO which was like, Summoned Skull Beatdown, Those Guys Trying Blue-Eyes Instead, and eventually Clown Control and Jinzo replacing Summoned Skull for its ability to invalidate Traps
A lot of videos you see also are cherry-picked from matches that went to some extreme, rather than The Ladder Grind of just getting tired of seeing whatever budget meta has formed that doesn't win quick, its just frustrating
I like how Toast introduces himself like a true oldschool supervillain and then goes on to mess up his first move in fashion of a true oldschool supervillain.
Luds confidence followed by his immediate down fall was peak comedy
the rp made this tournament so fun. hopefully they do another with more balanced decks that actually function
I love that they narrated all their moves. True duelists
Ive never been a yu gi yo fan, but this, this god dam master piece of a yt video has got me on the edge of my seat with built up suspense not knowing wth any of those cards do and it has inspired me to watch the show and play the game. I thank you Lord Ludwig.
If you ever get into yugioh farfa, mbt, and distant coder are so funny. Mbt literally does skits before he plays a decks and his whole bit where he went out to the woods to teach fish to synchro summon is so funny.
My man charlie playing the deck from the ultimate duelist who hails from Brooklyn Japan
The RP made this whole tournament so much more entertaining 😂😂😂
Alt title: Sykunno bullies newbies to Master duel
He got the luck on getting the deck he already familiar playing with.
Meanwhile other than him and leslie all of them only knew little about their deck, charlie used to playing meta deck that's why in the entire video he always said he doesn't know what he is doing.
@@gravls2128 Charlie is more experienced than Sykkuno even if hes unfamiliar with the deck. The main reason for Sykk's victory on Charlie is that hero deck being a counter to Charlie's. The chat already pointed that out. Im still amazed Dark Law was one of the extra deck monster in Sykkuno, it literally shuts down so many decks in this tournament. They even gave Sykkuno Mirror Force incase Honest Neos wasnt enough lmaoo.
@@michaelshahoe and the fact that Charlie literally only had 1 extra deck monster didn't make it better lol. If he's deck had Red MD or Flare Metal Dragon he could've probably won lol
@@dillansantiago707 yeah that deck syk got was just full proof
@@donetrying3214 from memory Syk got a fairly mid deck NEOS heros are good but Lud got the old meta deck of zodiacs
I love honest neos, what a sick card. Although I'm glad that the one time I faced that card I had Vimana on the field...
Yeah imma be honest E-Hero’s op asf only thing that coulda beat it would be a person who knew how to use c-drags unfortunately lily was not said person
Dude. I would absolutely LOVE to see TheDuelLogs analyze some of these duels to see what strategies could have worked out better for the players 🤣🤣 and of COURSE Ludwig gets a former Tier 0 deck. Lmao.
watchin a blue eyes player play is like that one dude who kept playing pot of greed to draw 3 cards...
“It’s like a Ludwig chat in here, there’s so many white people” - Th3Vale had me dying of laughter lol
I loved it when Charlie said “it’s moist time” and proceeded to squirt on everyone
im better than charlie at yugioh
@@mikeellchuk3787 not a high bar tbf
@@mikeellchuk3787 yeah, so?
@@khairilanam3020 im better than u at yugioh?
@@mikeellchuk3787 yeah, and?
I love everyone just becoming the anime character that awakens upon playing Yugioh.
When I first played, my character was "quiet and overdramatically scared and confused about everything".
this is far more entertaining than the actual ygo meta format lol
Who ever made that tri-zoo deck must have been on the strongest shrooms ever.
true xD
Some sort of misunderstanding of how strong the decks should be seems to be at play, but that one in particular seems quite underwhelming. I wonder if it was supposed to be a joke? Haha
There are pieces of a good deck its just missing some important cards to tie it together which is a choice that was made..
I mean with a Zeus the Deck would‘ve been absolutely busted
@@uohdubonsat2613 Yeah but either Drident or a Shuraig would be nice. It is a much stronger deck engine-wise compared to all the other decks but that doesn't mean much without a wincon so Ludwig had nothing to combat Sykunno in that duel.
Just imagine how good Charlie would be if he knew how to read. He’s only using a fraction of his power.
I love that he clears the field in 1 move, and then Kamikaze's himself 🤣🤣
coolest yu-gi-oh duel ive seen in a while. cant help but feel like the decks werent balanced but regardless, very entertaining.
9:15 Toasted roast Lily back story is so hilarious
Toast's backstory literally had me laughing harder than ive ever laughed
PLEASE do this again this video was sick
As a seasone Yu-gi-oh player I thoroughly enjoyed this; y'all acting as characters from the actual show was the cherry on top lmao ♥
seeing Ludwig run two of the best archetypes at least in the tournament (Zoodiacs and Tri) and still throw was so amazing
Best archetypes, but worst deck
@@eugenideddis he had the Zoodiac XYZ, pretty good aside from like, not having ZEUS
@@Mario-us5xm no drident, Zeus, or shuraig kinda kills all wincons
"Red Eyes Black Dragon on turn one?!"
Trust me toast, I've seen much worse
Toast and Lily’s backstory was amazing 😂
Honestly, seeing Ludwig get so excited at spectating just gets me so excited just watching.
Yeah his enthusiam really made the tournament much more exiting to watch.
Don’t know what the hell happened but I loved every second of it lmao Toast and SyKkuno made the video for me 😂
Glad to see Charlie repping Red-Eyes. Been using that deck on duel links for a few years and done pretty well with it. Also have a list for master duel and the real game I've been meaning to put together.
All this tournament did was validate all of my love for Elemental Heroes
Would love to see the decklists, i love duels with prebuilt decks
I really want this tournament to be animated into a show. The dialogue is so great!
Not shown here was Blau summoning Utopia, and then negating his own attack twice in a row, all the while Leslie was confused as to what "material" meant.
Yo that was wild, some amazing duels in there, the Chralie vs Sykkuno finale was amazing
If charlie actually serious and learn the deck he could've won. But, it's entertaining regardless. Do more of this in the future, but next time either allow or disallow hand traps to make it more balanced.
Sykuno dead sounds like a voice actor from the yugioh series 😂❤️
Lilyy's back story nd toasts reply had me dying lmfao
