For the Braves you confirmed what we already argue amongst ourselves. Braves fans(and local writers) have been some of the loudest voices of frustration that the Braves failed at the chance to have the longest and most title filled run in baseball history. At least Chipper took a step some wouldn't take and bashed his own stupid choices in his book.

Agree as a Braves fan since the early 90s it was many years of heartbreak knowing we had a stacked team and something always happened. Silver lining we made the playoffs most years and of course we won last year.

What's pathetic about Chicago baseball is the 108 year drought Cubs are still the most successful franchise. 11 pennants to 6, 18-11 postseason appearances, made back to back postseasons 3 times, White Sox only consecutive playoff appearances came with a truncated season and that streak will last forever with the expanded playoffs starting this October.
White Sox are pathetic, and so irrelevant nobody cares enough to acknowledge it.

Ryan's main thing was his longevity, which was legendary sure, but he never had a peak that could be considered inner-circle worthy. Through all the years hes pitched, he was only a deserving Cy Young for maybe 2 years.

As a Rays fan myself, I can say that we have the fans. Look at our tv ratings. The league doesn’t want to lose the tv market we’ve made. The ownership doesn’t market the team well, ticket prices are insane, the stadium is in the worst spot possible being in st Pete instead of where they should be playing in Tampa. The ownership wanted to move the team to Montreal and they’ve made the environment around the product on the field abysmal to watch and impossible to get to. Move the Rays to Tampa and the team gets the attendance they so rightfully deserve
If i was a multi-billionaire i would buy the Rays, change their colors back to green, purple, and black, build a stadium in Ybor City and name it McGriff park and give them a 180 million dollar payroll and tell the Yanks and Sox that's it's on like Donkey Kong mother fuckers

Actually the 2005 WS is one of the more interesting ones from a statistical perspective. Despite being a sweep the series was very exciting as all 4 games were very close, each being won by no more than two runs, including one 14-inning game.
The Sox did kind of fade quickly after that year though.

About the shitty fans part I have to say some of our fans are but that’s not the majority, I was yesterdays game and even though it wasn’t sold out it was supper fan and the fans are why.
For REAL, a much bigger arguement would've been about how we've been hiring managers that have WAY too much faith in one guy since the tony Larussa era. Mike matheny had Rosenthal, and shildt had Reyes, both of which cost us dearly in big spots. For Overrated underrated part 4: Hi Barry, wanted to get your thoughts on Giancarlo Stanton. Obviously in Miami he was a world class player and MVP and even though he has had some injured seasons in New York he has been absolutely incredible when he stays healthy. I feel as if the injuries have led him to become very underrated since the trade to the Yankees. He was great in 2018 and was incredible in 2021 and is looking even better and healthy here in 2022. Him and Judge absolutely carry the Yankees on their backs at times and I feel as if Stanton doesn't get enough respect overall, hoping he makes the All Star Game this year because he really deserves it. (Update: he did). I think Giancarlo can get to 500 home runs and if he is productive enough to finish up his career, might end up in Cooperstown.
(Assuming you’re a Yankees fan too) THANK YOU! I have been saying this forever. He has been healthy in recent years, and he has been worth every dollar. To add, his contract is not at all as massive as it was when we took it on. With salaries going insane now he’s insanely underrated. But the best thing about Stanton is that he’s a great yankee. He has taken roaring boos, rude/disrespectful questions from the media, and has yet to skip a media appearance. He always takes ownership, always defends the (sometimes god awful) yankee fans. Glad to see another fan who understands Stanton’s value.

1996 is the worst year ever for Braves fans. That collapse changed the entire decade. It went from potentially being back-to-back titles and beating the Yankees in the World Series to being a one-hit wonder and being remembered for being a doormat for that Yankees dynasty.

Barry, overrated or underrated: Ayrton Senna; largely considered the best race car driver of all time, but his detractors point out that he only won 3 driver’s titles to Michael Schumacher’s 7. They also say that his arch rival, Alain Prost, was a better race day driver, and also has more titles
I mean...senna only has 3 titles since he died only 10 years into his career. Schumacher raced over 100 more races than Senna did. I don't think he's the greatest driver of all time, but I wouldn't say he's overrated. I think if he didn't end up dying at a young age, he probably could've been competing for more titles and maybe won a couple more. Also, looking into a lot of all time greatest F1 drivers lists, most have him top 5, but not a lot put him at number one. Number one is usually lewis Hamilton or Michael Schumacher

When the White Sox were in the World Series Hurricane Wilma had hit South Florida (where I was living) and I was sitting in a dark house watching that World Series on a battery-operated TV. That's the only reason that World Series was memorable to me
The cardinals have won 3 titles in 40 years, as well as making the World Series and the NLCS several more times in that time span. They also have the most World Series rings in the NL and second most in the league behind the Yankees.
Idk how cardinals fans are outside the state of missouri, but I haven’t experienced any terrible behaviors or attitudes. Compared to the other fanbases I’ve seen.
Also, Yadi is an above average hitter for his position. And the cardinals have less stolen bases allowed than any other mlb team by a pretty wide margin
