Lichess.org (Stockfish Level 8) vs. Chess.com (Maximum Level 25)

Here it is, another chess video! This time, I paired up Chess.com and Lichess.org through separate tabs and repeated the moves they played. I kind of messed up, having black on the bottom instead of white, but I’m too lazy to fix that. Hope you enjoy the video!

I've actually done this test myself a few times, and they're the same strength. If Stockfish level 8 doesn't pick a losing opening at random, these two engines will play a clean draw all the way through. (And if stockfish level 8 does pick a losing opening at random, then Komodo25 wins) In my tests, there hasn't been a game where Stockfish level 8 simply *played better* than Komodo25, or vice versa so I'm not sure how people keep getting these ones where Stockfish level 8 wins to be honest. xD

keep in mind it also depends on the power of your pc, I think on lower and higher end pcs Stockfish wins more often than not but I’m not sure entirely.

I play them both consistently. The one on Lichess is stronger :). I've only managed to beat them once each. Haven't got count of draws and losses. They are definitely nowhere near the level latest versions of chess engines out there such as Stockfish, Shredder, Houdini and Komodo. I feel that Houdini 2 is stronger than both of them.

houdini 6 is nearly 200 elo points behind the top engines, and shredder is nearly 300 points behind(according to the ccrl 40/15 list).

These are the engines you get to play against, just because lichess engine won doesn't mean the whole website is better, also the actual engine for analysis on lichess proofs to be better in general, you can test it with puzzles like tal's puzzles or rook and pawn endgames against a queen, but really unless you have premium membership lichess is better and that video is supposed to be for fun not for you to make random false claims

that's inflated elo, 3200 for chess.com and 3000 for lichess.org, however most likely the 3200 is actually just 2800
