    you can use the ordinary’s glycolic acid or lactic acid or good molecules glycolic toner or overnight exfoliating treatment as a low cost alternative also. you can use a regular moisturizer after putting on those exfoliators if needed. it’s an extra step, but it might be a cheaper alternative for some people.

    Thank you for your videos Dr. Liu. You made me face wash my face with BP and is working wonderful on my face, I am very careful to overdraw my skin but I saw an improvement on my sebaceous filaments on my nose and not have any pimple at all, I used to have 1 of 2 on my face that bothered me so much. Thank you again. I would like to see more moisturizer option that not clog pores like, Aveeno Moisturizer cream for face, Aveeno redness restore, etc. Also, I wold like to ask you if Dimethicone (according in the inci place) is a clogging pore ingredient and if alcohol denature (according in the inci place) is too drying for the skin. I know that we have to see and evaluate the moisturizer as a whole but still worries me. Thank you.

    I would love a vid on shaving bumps and shaving in general since there is so much bad information out there about bad "aftershave" products and "shaving soaps" and scrubbing as related to shaving :) Im sure you have a much more sane approach with gentler products and more anti-inflammatory focus.

    Can you please do a video on skin/body care for teens? My daughter is struggling with a flaky but oily scalp (used to be dry), forehead bumps & bumps on her upper back. It seems like a lot of the treatments out there are making it worse.

    • @luci4087

      this is one way to get rid of flakes on the scalp. make a mixture of fine sea salt and conditioner (regular or deep conditioner) and then rub it through the scalp and then rinse out. make the mixture immediately prior to using. it does not store well. if the underlying cause is dandruff and not just dry, flaky scalp, this might not work as well though. some people have recommended using an aha or bha and then rinsing out. i tried an aha and it damaged my hair in one spot.

      What you put on your face you can definitely use on body but that can run out quickly and get $. Moisturizers with aha and lactic acid helps with ashy and dullness. PCs niacinamide body serum and versed retinol for body are two to try

    So people with strawberry skin should not take Moroccan bath?
    Also, even if we do laser, we need to shave before the session.. so what would you suggest?

    Dr. Jenny can I use benzoyl peroxide cream and clindamycin at the same time for acne?

    • @malinia.20
      @malinia.20 Рік тому

      I am not a dermatologist, but according to your dermatologist, you can! Using benzoyl peroxide with clindamycin actually helps to prevent the bacteria in your skin from becoming resistant to the clindamycin, so they work well together

    Using a mositurizing with aha / bha Does it make your skin more sensitive to uv rays ? Or is this merely myth ?

      It is true, any form of “active ingredient” skincare treatment does this, so make sure to use sunscreen
