there is not a day that goes by that i don't think of him and all the memories we made in 10 short years, his death knocked the wind out of me i have never been the same since, Elvis was the big brother i never had. He is also my guardian angel. Graceland is my go to place when it get's to hard to live w/o my friend i go there and walk around and remember Elvis and all the beautiful times we had together. He was the only person in my life that understood me and i understood him we cared about each other faults and all. What it comes down to is we both needed a friend and we were that for each other. Awesome reaction. i have spent my entire adult life speaking out to people that try and judge a beautiful soul that is not here to defend himself. as long as i have breath in my lungs no one i mean no one will disrespect him period. God bless you and your family from the one and only Memphis Tn. 😭 #forevermyking #forevermysexyjello actually Elvis had severe stage fright but he taught himself to overcome it he added more exaggerated leg shaking to hide the actual nervous shaking.
This is from "Elvis on Tour". Excellent movie. You get to see so much. Now that I watched this I will have to watch the movie tonight. Thanks! Excellent reaction video. I am subscribing!
Last night I found your video reactions on our one and only King of rock and roll called Elvis. I'm so glad you listened to more of his music and loved your reactions after... when young ones start to appreciate old music it just softens my heart. There is only one Elvis with that unique voice! Though can you do a comparison between Elvis's voice and Pastor Bob Joyce, I feel that's the nearest of a sound you'll ever find of anyone trying to impersonate Elvis
Elvis was really anxious before every show. He never wanted to disappoint his fans. He was just a man like any other. He loved playing Gospel to relax himself. He had to take his glasses off and he had glaucoma at a young age. He had to get needles put in his eyes to reduce the pressure. So the lights really bothered his eyes. I give him Credit, overcoming his stage fright every time. There were some shows in which he’d suffer from an hour before. They’d find him in his dressing room kneeling and praying to God to help him give a Good show and not to disappoint his fans. He really was a dichotomy. He was outgoing and on stage after a few songs he’d start to relax. But as a man. He was a humble, shy, somewhat introverted, generous to a fault, and very spiritual and had a it of faith in God. His lifestyle gave him temptations but he’d always wonder if God forgave us when we died. An unusual, beautiful man with a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and make others laugh. Have you seen the 2022 blockbuster movie that was out this yr called “ELVIS “? It teaches a lot about his struggles etc. Thanks for sharing this with us! ❤
Sorry meant to say this from Elvis on tour 72 a documentary which I have to get I've seen it on TV but I want a copy myself got all his films even the Elvis movie 🎬
He was the first for sure. This is from his concert movie Elvis On Tour. He gave his fans all he had right up to the end. So glad you're continuing on this Elvis Journey.
This was the early 1970s & Elvis was beginning to have some health issues, which in the end led to his death at age 42. He also had developed glaucoma in both eyes, at an early age, so that the lights had to be positioned in a certain way, because they would hurt his eyes. Glaucoma causes pressure on the eyes, which is very painful. Elvis was actually quite a shy man, & an introvert. His stage performances show a man who is confident, but yes, he got nervous before his concerts. Members of his staff, bodyguards & musicians, have often said that Elvis would bow his head in prayer, & when asked what he was doing, he would reply that he was asking God to bless the concert & to bless all the people watching it. He was a very spiritual man, & a humble man, in spite of his worldwide fame & his lavish lifestyle. He was also a very caring & giving man. He would say that God had blessed him with money, so that he could bless others with it. So yes, he did get nervous before his performances, but I think once he got on stage, those nerves would vanish, & the performer would take over.
PZO! Yes, this footage was taken from one of his concert movies. This one, in particular, looks like it's from his film "Elvis on Tour" where they follow him from city to city, and state to state as he meets & is greeted at every concert on his tour. If you are interested how Elvis rehearsed & mentally prepared for his 1970 Las Vegas series of shows, then definitely watch the movie Elvis That's The Way It Is.
I was friends with Charlie Hodge( he died in 2006 of lung cancer)his confidant and best friend for years after Elvis died n he told me many great stories about his best friend Charlie was the one that told him about how the stage was set up n he said the lights hurt his eyes n you see him using his inhaler before because he had asthma. He told me that Elvis was nervous before every show he sometimes would have his singers sing a gospel song with him before running on stage n would stand aside n say a prayer Esp nervous the Aloha Concert(1973) that was seen around the world and seen by 1.5 Billion people I was there sat 3rd row center. And if Elvis lived today he would be a multi billionaire. Thank you for reacting to Elvis
Elvis was very sick all the drugs he took were to treat these ailments and not used as a drug addict these ailments like his eyes his grandmother Minnie (Dogger) also suffered from them and had to wear glasses with dark lenses all that goes back to the parents of Gladys who was a cousin must read Sally Hoedel's book "Destined to died young"
Wow thank you for sharing this with us susan. Greatly appreciated. I have a question, out of all the artists that we have in mainstream music, which artist comes close to resembling elvis’s popularity.
@@laughingbad Hi -- Elvis' lung condition was the genetic condition A-1 antitrypsin which caused lung damage similar to COPD/emphysema which includes a cough, shortness of breath and wheezing + the possibility of liver disease combined; Elvis' breathing problems showed up in part of his '68 comeback special when at one point he said hold it man, i can't catch my breath, in his 1970 Houston press conference & his outdoor interview in Hawaii so it was quite unbelievable that he managed all that he did, especially in '77

Elvis was so nervous before entering the stage. He sang gospel which helped calm him. Great video and reaction. Please check out his rehearsals. Words with Sweet Inspirations, That's Alright Mama, Little Sister, Something. I think that's more your liking. Oh and Stranger In My Own Hometown X-rated Version and Are You Lonesome Tonight Elvis Can't Stop Laughing Version
Elvis as he was only in his 40's before passing, already had cataracts in both eyes, that why they was telling him how the stage was laid out. He also suffered from a twisted colon for a few years and heart arrhythmia that ran in his family. He had a lot then the drugs that thee Doctor had him on through out his life. The channel named (Memphis Mafia Kid) has the men that worked-sang and lived at Graceland with Elvis. You can learn if you like about the real Elvis if you like from the people that knew hiss best. As always start at the bottom of the video's on that site to know who is who. They bring the facts, not the bs about Elvis. @Pzo
Elvis was extremely nervous before he went on stage. Everything had to be perfect, he wanted to know Everything because he wanted to make sure but he did his best for the people that came to see him.
I love how candid it is. I don't know if you've done these yet or not but there is a clip both a short and a long version floating around UA-cam of Elvis funny moments. That's what it's called and it's just goofing around and scenes from rehearsal. But there is another one that I find fascinating, and that is pretty short but it's a look at one of their practices when they were getting ready for one of those Vegas shows. And Elvis was coming up with his arrangement for bridge over troubled water. And it's great because you can hear him working with the backing vocalists on the timing, and they were just figuring things out. Just stop and then try different idea and then continue. He worked with the piano player and some of the horn players and he's always working with his drummer Ronnie Tutt and the backing choirs. And then there is that iconic live performance of it and it's so fascinating to watch after having seen them literally work on the arrangement of that song in that other video clip. Elvis was an incredible arranger which doesn't often get mentioned along with all his other talents, but he was fantastic at it. He knew what he wanted and it worked.
That show-opening piece is classical music, epic af. It would then segway into "See See Rider," another banger which you can hear at the end of the video. My dad had the live set on vinyl.
E played every building he could and they all were different so they had to find out the layout of each stage. This was about the same time as the MSG shows. My parents were at those.
This is from his concert documentary Elvis on Tour 1972...you would really enjoy it and I would highly recommend it. I watched it twice last week . TCB 👑⚡️
I think this is from Elvis on Tour documentary/Movie (camera crew followed Elvis during his tour) from 1972. Another good doc/Movie was Elvis That's the way it is from 1970 (Best one). Both by MGM I Think.
How are you doing, Pzo? I've thought through a few videos of Elvis that are similar to this one, where you see more of him as a person. I know you enjoyed this one, his funny moments from 1970 and Heartbreak Hotel. So, maybe it's time to see some interviews? There are a few to choose between, but, why not start with an early one from 1960? The video is called 'Elvis - Post Army Interview', posted the 30th of august 2010. It is his post Army interview. He had just come back from two years in the Army, in Germany. It shows a mix of both serious Elvis and a little of his charming humour. And a little thing to note, he met Pricilla, his wife to be, in Germany. He speaks of her in this video, unnamed. In this interview he had just about turned 25 years old.
Nice reaction. Interestingly in the UK as a general observation back then folks that lived well away from cities often spoke slower than city folk because of its competitive and faster way of life..
Elvis was like a caged tiger right before he went out to do a show Elvis said that he couldn't stay backstage long cause he wanted to get on stage and excite the people. The guys said that they would sing gospel songs with Elvis or Indian wrestle with him and right before he would go on stage depending on how nervous Elvis was. Thank you for doing this video about the King. Elvis is still the best entertainer of all time!
The only person alive in the clip is Jerry which is the young looking guy with the fluffy blonde hair - he was about 5 years younger than elvis he is 80 now and looks great still!
That's my favorite suit he wore I've tried to find out where it is but I've never been able to find anything about it I even asked the people at Graceland when I went an they didn't know either
Elvis could tour for a month and make 7-8 million dollars.... In the 60s he was making so much money with the movies and sound tracks he had to stop working for a while to figure out his income taxes
Oh you watching. Greatness yeah. He's. Really. Talking like that. That is really him. Lol. Elvis v was born in Mississippi and moved to. Tennessee. When he. Made it big. He was great you don't know. What they. Did to this man he was done so bad. By his manager
He wasn't rich, his generosity was astounding, apparently his family had to reign him because he was giving away a lot of his money. Tom Parker and record company ripped him off. Tickets to his shows in those days maybe $20 to $ 50 not sure..Imagine today , lesser talents would charge upto and over $1000 ticket
The white haired gentleman adjusting Elvis’s collar was his own father, Vernon Presley. He surrounded himself with his family and good friends, like Charlie Hodge, who he met in the Army, and Jerry Shilling who he’d played football with as a teenager and is still alive today. ( if you want to learn about Elvis’s life, Jerry’s book “ Me and a guy named Elvis” is the best👌💕🕺
Nope, it was actually taken a week later on April 17th, 1972 backstage at Barton Coliseum in Little Rock, Arkansas. This was proven in a video by the UA-cam channel Elvis Back On Tour.
Its interesting to see him prepare but if u look at the moment he had that paper cup in his hand, in his other hand he was most likely taking pills before going on stage. Its really sad and unfortunate for him, that he started to take the pills and drugs :(
Elvis had a inhaler in his hand -- the man could not breathe!! he had a genetic condition called A-1antitispyrin which causes COPD/emphysema + liver problems & he needed an inhaler so he could breathe; he had a problem breathing in 1968 at his comeback special, a problem in 1970 at his Houston press conference & 1973 at his outdoor interview in Hawaii; he had bad lungs & he's holding an inhaler in his right hand w-his arm up high then using the inhaler afterwards that's in his right hand!!!
If you check out to any ZZ Top sing you won't regret, The late Dusty Hill, ZZ Top bass player, was a huge Elvis fan, they recorded let me be your teddy bear, jailhouse rock and Viva Las Vegas, but their other music is heavily influenced by the blues
I love your enthusiasm, but please stop yelling while we're trying to listen to what's going on! I couldn't hear much of what he said at all because you were shouting and interrupting. I'm going to watch it again somewhere else so I can actually hear it. Rant over. "Bye
You should now check out See See Rider and Polk Salad Annie, which are the songs he performs after this scene. He generally started his show with See See Rider, although he did alternate with That's All Right, and a few others at different times.
Thanks for all of Elvis ; My problem is being older and from the South. We do talk like this!!! Bahaha- When I want to listen to a conversation or lecture on UA-cam, I always have to slow it down. I always wondered why too :D And Thanks for not judging him like so many in our generation did...
I love Elvis and not talking bad about him, but you can see in his face he was already getting puffy. He already wasn’t feeling good and this was five years before he died. THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER ELVIS. God bless him!
He started the guitar formula for rock groups who never even included guitar accompaniment in the short band formula, he created hair styles, fashion for men that was in your face flamboyant, he started the bodyguard trend, he brought an injection to black music that no white artist had done. He broke all kinds of barriers and of course was one of the most generous people of all time.
Elvis was a Southern boy. Several of these guys were Southerners. I'm a Southerner. Uhh, yeah, many if not most of us really DO talk like that! It's called "Southern drawl." LOL! 😄😄 Great video and great reaction, Pzo!
Elvis was always nervous going out! He had to have his entourage always checked things out so he would know how big the crowd was etc... They would do karate moves beforehand to calm his nerves a lot of times. Also singing before the concert...
he should have been super Cooper rich but col Tom took 50% of his income and it went beyond Elvis's life till his family sued him. He HAD to keep performing and the drugs were a part of it.
there is not a day that goes by that i don't think of him and all the memories we made in 10 short years, his death knocked the wind out of me i have never been the same since, Elvis was the big brother i never had. This is from “Elvis On Tour”. It’s a documentary by MGM from his 1972 tour
That guy in the red shirt was Joe Esposito who was Elvis' road manager then later after Elvis died became Michael Jackson's tour manager.
Yes need to see elvis and the black community
That's his trade mark
The word is "trailblazer".....He definitely was. The music was not off a movie. This was all his own.

Elvis on Tour is the movie docu
Trailblazer is the word. Before Elvis there was really no one singer that could fill a stadium.

This was the 1st ever performance where they used SATELLITES to broadcast LIVE FOR THE ENTIRE WORLD! 😮
Just thought I’d mention that it is Elvis birthday today! He would have been 88 years old ❤️
You should definitely watch the 1977 version of ‘And I Love You So’, it is beautiful and sad, seeing as though it was one of Elvis’s last shows.

5:19...Trendsetter!!!!!!!
You have to go take a tour of his house its open and he has his Air plane name after is little girl in his front yard.
Nice reaction. Interestingly in the UK as a general observation back then folks that lived well away from cities often spoke slower than city folk because of its competitive and faster way of life..
I'm an amateur performer. Stage fright is a constant thing. For me, it makes me sharper, and forces me to get my mind into focusing on the show.
This video was taken from Elvis on tour 1972
"Elvis on Tour". You make me happy
Pzo!!
Elvis was like a caged tiger right before he went out to do a show Elvis said that he couldn't stay backstage long cause he wanted to get on stage and excite the people. Pzo!!
He'd start with cc rider always great
You need to watch Elvis and the Black Community.
Funny how you said people don’t talk like that anymore. I said the same thing in my youth about the 1930s, 1940s.
The only person alive in the clip is Jerry which is the young looking guy with the fluffy blonde hair - he was about 5 years younger than elvis he is 80 now and looks great still!

They were from Tennessee, that is how people talk in Tennessee.
Elvis was shy and stuttered alot, one reason why he goofed off alot
This was in the 1970’s

Be nice...
YOU TALK TO MUCH LOL
You should now check out See See Rider and Polk Salad Annie, which are the songs he performs after this scene. He generally started his show with See See Rider, although he did alternate with That's All Right, and a few others at different times.
Did you even hear anything Elvis said because you talked through it all
Why are you reacting to elvis? I dont think, you like him 😂
Bruce Springsteen "Everything begins and ends with Elvis, he wrote the book. Ain't nobody ever gonna take that guy's place"
I love your reaction to Elvis being backstage... you had me captivated and "hanging" on your every word!! 😂😂😉👍⚡
It's called a southern drawl, that's how a lot of people from the south sound.
This is my favourite Elvis movie. Full length feature documentary film by MGM - "On Tour". It got the Golden Globe Award!!! It is amazing!!
Thanks for all of Elvis ; My problem is being older and from the South. We do talk like this!!! Bahaha- When I want to listen to a conversation or lecture on UA-cam, I always have to slow it down. I always wondered why too :D And Thanks for not judging him like so many in our generation did...
They are from the south! So they have southern drawls
I love Elvis and not talking bad about him, but you can see in his face he was already getting puffy. He already wasn’t feeling good and this was five years before he died.
THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER ELVIS. God bless him!
That song is 1001 space Odyssey. My wife & I like your reactions. Seem like a nice guy.
Elvis on Tour. Concert doco film 72' Check it out on Blu-ray 5:1 Surround! Pumped up!👍👑
He got nervous like anyone else, once he hit the stage 🐐🐐🐐
Trendsetter is the word for ELVIS, HE wore just the right amount of BLING, hair perfect, the glasses, the voice, THE WHOLE PACKAGE.
ELVIS ON TOUR 1972
Contrary to what many people think, Elvis was always nervous before performing.
Was a great professional.
ELVIS THE BEST 👑🕺🎤🎶🎼💖💖!
every time going on stage he never felt he was good enough, but once on stage everything change
Try this video: "Elvis opening night at the International Hotel 1970. He was so nervous."
Elvis had pre-show nerves… he just wanted to do his best for his audience and fans ❤
This is from the 1972 documentary film ELVIS ON TOUR
And Louise is the king of rock ‘n’ roll🙏👍🏼😊
He was, at his core, a poor boy from Mississippi- always
Elvis was a Southern boy. Several of these guys were Southerners. I'm a Southerner. Uhh, yeah, many if not most of us really DO talk like that! It's called "Southern drawl." LOL! 😄😄 Great video and great reaction, Pzo!
Great video sir
Elvis was always nervous going out! He had to have his entourage always checked things out so he would know how big the crowd was etc... They would do karate moves beforehand to calm his nerves a lot of times. Also singing before the concert...
he should have been super Cooper rich but col Tom took 50% of his income and it went beyond Elvis's life till his family sued him. He HAD to keep performing and the drugs were a part of it.
Oh so handsome❤ Elvis we loved you. Dtill do. Thank you!
Elvis learned to dress from black folks living around and growing up with them
I believe this was from Elvis on tour or Elvis that's the way it is. Both are great to check out.
They are Southern, we talk a little slower down here, we take our time and enjoy conversations with people.
Southern people speak much slower
