my neighbor tells me they contract out most of the good work and only the simple & dirty junk work is done by the military crew! he said worldwide . furthermore on deployment they use portable A_C & heater units , only re fulling them and swapping working machines if bad, to be sent to depot. lastly - poor guy ! state wont take his military experience to allow him for a contractors licence.

I am pursuing HVAC in the civilian world but someday I may join the Air Force Reserves to do some HVAC in the Air Force.

You’ll be paid considerably less. Best to stay in civilian life unless you’re passionate about the military.

Is the contractor license available in tech school. Do they help you receive that license?
